|| Responding to the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain ||
Lexington Street. Montague, Strasbourg-. 18 August, 2018
It is not our intention to lump anyone. Neither we are announcing a proposal of a free South-West, “open” means fair and reciprocal trade, open investment environments, transparent agreements between nations, and improved connectivity to drive regional ties – because these are the paths for sustainable growth in the region. As we have now under the MUKFTA. The intervention of His Majesty's Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Chamber of Commerce of Montenburg was a vision projection of where we are heading as a nation through our free trade agreements and giving specific examples of how the private sector has taken advantage of them to expand their businesses, letting the market progress.
We have not taken any initiative regarding the territorial waters of any nation, and we are not telling anyone what to do either, this is not part of our free market policy. As we know all relationships have their ups and downs. For both of our nations, living up to the ideals enshrined in the MUKFTA has always been a work in progress. As we know the path has never been perfect. Our common bonds of friendship are essential to the security and prosperity that we seek not only for our own citizens, but for people around Europe and the world.
And the reason is simple. We stand together and we work together and we bleed together and we build together, in good times and in bad, because when we do, our nations are more secure, our people are more prosperous, and Europe is a safer and better and more just place.
The Rt. Hon. Xävier Bettel, LP
Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Montenbourg
GOVERNMENT OF THE STATE TURKMENBAIJAN - OFFICIAL COMMUNIQUÉCONCERNING: DECLARATIONS OF MINISTER MCCORD OF MONTENBOURG AT THE ECENOMIC FORUM, MONTAGUEThe government of Turkmenbaijan has taken note of the statements of the foreign minister of Montenbourg, Elizabeth McCord. The claim that MCC builds hundreds of kilometers of electricity transmission lines in Turkmenbaijan is false. For the time being, no tender has been opened by competent authorities of our country to carry out this project, if the plan was already on the table. Turkmenbaijan is completely self-sufficient when it comes to electricity. We regret once again the attitude of the competent minister and this in a very short time. To really work together, as is being pursued, loyalty and respect to partners is necessary.Mr. Emir Constantini,President of the State Turkmenbaijan
18 August 2018The announcement of the proposal of a "free South-West" is one of directly challenging UK power and foreign policy, and His Majesty's Government will not tolerate the words out of Montenbourg. The United Kingdom has been open to the idea of free trade with Montenbourg and the rest of Europe, as it brings prosperity. But lumping in the United Kingdom and its territorial waters into this discussion by Elizabeth McCord has, in fact, damaged the relationship yet again between the United Kingdom and Montenbourg. His Majesty's Government will decide its own policy when it comes to its own territorial waters and international waters, and will not be told how to conduct itself. We also find it completely offensive that Montenbourg continues to try and dictate to other governments policies that involve them without proper consultation. Rather than stick its nose in the business of others, Montenbourg should perhaps find itself working cooperatively with others or find themselves isolated. The Rt. Hon. Theresa May, MPPrime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain

25 June 2018What we have seen in Kyrzbek has been nothing short of an embarrassment. We call on both sides to go to the negotiation table and for Kyrzbek self-determination to be given. It is clear that the situation between the Government of Turkmenbaijan and Kyrzbek minorities is untenable. As a result, Australia will close its borders with Turkmenbaijan and will consider other actions at the European level including the petitioning for an embargo until the Government of Turkmenbaijan stops subjecting the Kyrzbek minority to stay in a country that they clearly do not want to be a part of. Instead, we call on a referendum on the future of the Kyrzbek region with a vote for Kyrzbeks only. This has gone on long enough, and the Government of Turkmenbaijan has to be better than this. The Australian federal government will have no choice but to impose sanctions and an embargo on movement between Australia and Turkmenbaijan if the situation does not improve. The Hon. Hillary Clinton, MPPrime Minister of the Federal Republic of Australia
