The Black Swans Move to Top of Group C
The Black Swans cautiously celebrate a victory
AUSTRALIA - The Black Swans have moved to the top of Group C after defeating the Duxburian Union in an exhausting 1-0 battle.
The Duxburian side, perhaps one of the strongest teams in the whole tournament, were relentless in their attacks on the Black Swan goal. The Duxburians took 16 attacking shots, which nearly doubled the 8 shots taken by the Black Swans. The Black Swans managed to counter the Duxburian advances by maintaining a very conservative and defensive style of play, which prompted members of the crowd to jeer "they're parking the bus" at the defending players. An opportunity late in the game allowed Black Swan striker Liam Arnold to score his first goal of the tournament and secure a victory for the Inquistan side.
Inquistan coach Aaron Oliver was ecstatic with outcome, and commented that "the lads were much more focused this game, which is something we had to work on after playing against the Nicoleizians. We just need to keep working on maintaining better possession."
Inquista now leads Group C with two victories.
(Isleym takes to the stage, draped in the flag of Icholasen)Hello Europe!! I would just like to thank you, the people of Europe for this opportunity! I would also like to thank Derecta for hosting this wonderful event, this show has been one of the best there's been! I'd also like to thank the DBCA and Anthony Lescaut for running such a lovely competition - truly at the heart of the European community. But most of all, I would like to thank my friend and mentor, the Minister of Eurovoice, Paloma Faith. (Paloma takes to the stage, also draped in the flag of Icholasen)It's truly a great day to be a Nicoleizian, and a European!! Icholasen has struggled for many long years to get here. Under my reforms, we cut the fat, and managed to win! Other than a robbery here and there, I believe this is the first time Icholasen really deserved to win. We celebrated diversity, along with all of our European leaders, and as leader of our Eurovoice division, I'd also like to extend my gratitude to the organisers at DBCA!! (Both now, holding their flags up in the air and they waved (due to the fortunately placed wind machine)) THANK YOU EUROPE - SEE YOU IN SAINT REGINA!!

"We thank every nation that voted us to be the best in Eurovision XXX. Without you, this wouldn't be happening right now. This is our first Eurovision ever and we never thought we would win against such experienced countries. I will let Nick here say some few words""Thank you all for voting my song "Gold" as best song in this contest. But I would like to share this prize with many other people. First of all, with every contestant in this edition. All of your songs were great! Then, with my family, friends and all Derectans who have followed me for the past year. And last, but not least, with every single Kaasian refugee, boy, girl, woman or man, this prize is for you!DBCA President Anthony Lescaut and Nick Murphy (Chet Faker)
