Turkmenbaijan Media and Press

  • ARKHAMNAMABAD - The government presented today the ambitious plan concerning the Refugee Act and the ongoing influxes of refugees from Dromund Kaas.
On-site the turkmenbaijani government is willing to provide material aid: shelters, medical aid and the necessary basic facilities as well as the organisation and protection of evacuations of citizens in the un-controlled areas.

According to the spokesperson of the cabinet of Mr Emir Constantini, president of Turkmenbaijan, hospitality is a fundamental part of our way of living. On of the concrete measures is the rise of housing capacity for refugees in open centra. The goal is to elevate the current capacity, 300 000 places in closed and open centra, to 1 150 000 places in open centra to the end of may. This is 5% of the Turkmenbaijani population.

With this measures Turkmenbaijan wants to play an active role in the European Union and its immigration policy. It wants to alleviate the pressure on other nations, more specificly Australia, its northern neighbour.

    TOUGHNESS DOESN'T STOP

EUROPOLIS - An employee of the turkmenbaijani representation within the european institutions in Europolis reacted this morning in the political talkshow 'EuroTürk' on the ongoing discord between some nations concerning the Refugee Protection Act.

Yesterday minister McCörd of Montenbourg made some statements concerning the humanitarian policies during an interview. Those statemenst were unsuccessful in Luz de libertados and St Esther. Following the Libertadian press LLLBC/LLRC the minister of Montenbourg is unknowing and is ranking the Montenbourg society superior to other societies. From turkmenbaijni circles in Europolis it is called to talk about the content and to finaly stop this toughness toward eachother.

''The reaction of Luz de libertados and St Esther is exaggerated'' sounds its further.

    TURKMENBAIJAN GETS A NEW CAPITAL

ARKHAMNAMABAD - In the local council of the turkmenbaijani capital Arkhamnamabad a name change for the city is proposed. The proposal is of the hand of the AXPAT and DP fraction, both governing parties in Arkhamnamabad and the national government. ''The name Arkhamnamabad was given by the first president of Turkmenbaijan who ruled as a dictator, ignoring international treaties, persecuted minorities and locked up members of opposition. He used Arkhamnamabad as his own playground. The current name is soiled. That's why we (AXPAT and DP) propose a name change. This city is full of potential. This city has more to offer than just statues of leaders.'' says Mr. Ibrahim Kurundan, leader of the AXPAT fraction in the local council. On the question which has to be the new name for the capital of Turkmenbaijan Kurundan waits for the official proposal in the local council.

  • TURKMENBAIJAN ISN'T PLEASED WITH ATTITUDE MONTENBOURG LGTBQ-MONTH.

ARKHAMNAMABAD - Ms. Aysel Anayewa, Councillor for the State Turkmenbaijan by the European Union is unhappy with the statements of her Montenbourgian collegue Emma Granger. Also the government in Arkhamnamabad isn't happy.

Last day the LGBTQ-Month was kicked of in Montenbourg by a speech of Montenbourgian councillor for the European Union, Emma Ganger. In her speech she urged other member-states to eleminate all prejudice and fight inequality and discrimination towards members of the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender community. Aysel Anayewa makes clear that she is unhappy, especially about the so-called recognition of the council of certain measures.

    • June as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) History Month 2018
    • The inequalities in society faced by the LGBT Community in Europe.
    • The need for this place to enshrine equality in law for the LGBT Community.

Also the council should urge the member-states to publish an equality programme to demonstrate it's commitment to equality for LGBT persons in there respective nation and publicly Condemn hateful rhetoric on LGBT rights. Aysel Anayewa tells us she did not received an invitation and that this 'council' has no power to recognise nor to urge. 'The listed results will not be recognized by Turkmenbaijan' she tells.

Turkmenbaijan doesn't know same-sex marriage as in the constitution is written that a marriage is a legal bound, recognized by the state, between two persons of different sex. Outspoken propaganda is sanctioned and adoption by LGBTQ is impossible by law. Despite, same-sex couples can legally live together.

ANNAYEWA PULLS OUT FERMLY TO GRANGER

ARKHAMNAMABAD - Again European councillor for Turkmenbaijan Aysel Annayewa pulls out fermly to Emma Granger, her Montenbourgian collegue after a first reaction concerning the statements concerning June LGTBQ-Month.

''Montenbourg has to stop to act like they are pioneers in the European Union if it concerns Human Rights. Again Turkmenbaijan is projected as an authoritarian state, like a nation rellied on itself. Look to the debate concerning the Kaasian refugees and LGTBQ rights. Everytime Emma Granger raises her nation as leader in those topics. Let me be clear, I do appreciate the efforts of Montenbourg and they do deserve recognition for their policies. If you want to urge other member-states, to progress, you have to talk with others. You have to debate with others. You can't talk about the council if there was no place for debate and exchange''. - Aysel Annayewa

How the Montenbourgian delegation will react on these new declarations has to be waited.

  • MAJORITY WINS 5 SEATS; AIP JOINS AXPAT-GOVERNMENT

Former president and current leader of the Party for European Integration, Asuman Baknezarayowa.

ARKHAMNAMABAD - Today, the AIP fraction in the National Congress of Turkmenbaijan joined the AXPAT-government of Emir Constantini. With this move the majority gets 5 seats more, on the already 60 seats on 103. Allegledy the transition from opposition to majority came under the direction of the president himself. Emir Constantini feels the breath of the opposition concerning the european shedule. 'Turkmenbaijan would not be powerfull enough and should act and react more fermly' althus the former leading party SDH.

AIP is an outspoken pro-european party with a far-reaching integration program. Asuman Baknezarayowa, leader of the AIP and president of Turkmenbaijan from 30 march 2017 until 7 may of the same year, felt in disgrace by then ruling SDH. She resignated after a political process. Since the last elections she was able again to seat in the National Congress. The move of Emir Constantini is remarkable due the history of the AIP in the National Congress. 'Turkmenbaijan is still surounded by isolement concerning economies and politics, even as a member-state of the EU, especially with our northern neighbour Australia, the only geographical connection with the EU.' stated the president. 'Asuman Baknezarayowa is known in the Union as pro-european, progressive and willing to collaborate. She is good to represent our country at any level and has experience in governing a nation in crisis while facing personal attacks by rivals.' What the president is meant by this remains so far unclear.

    FÜZÜLI NEW CAPITAL OF TURKMENBAIJAN

ARKHAMNAMABAD - From 1 july Arkhamnamabad will be renamed Füzüli. The local council under the direction of the AXPAT fraction has agreed on that. Only SDH, former single-ruling party, voted against. The name change is a result of the ongoing transformations in the country. Following a major part of the population of Arkhamnamabad the city name has become a dirty understanding, reffering to Enver Därwäzä, first president of Turkmenbaijan. He and his successors wearing an SDH-mark were not affraid of using oppression to those who 'were undermining the interests of the State'.

Arkhamnamabad will be renamed after the 16th century Divan poet Füzüli. He is one of the seven mystic poets of Avalism. Famous works of the writer are 'friend of the heart; Birth of hope and Garden of pleasure'.

  • CAUTION IN KYRZBEK REGION - GOVERNMENT URGES THE EUROPEAN UNION

Tensions are rising again between Kyrzbeks and Turkmenbaijanis in Turkmenbaijan. 3 days ago the government released an official communiqué in which was stated the implementation of a peacekeeping mission led by Montenbourg in order to guarantee stability and peace in the North-East of the country. This move by Emir Constantini was particulary bad welcomed by kyrzbek representatives and also in Europe many questions are asked. The government in Füzüli is following the situation closely. Yesterday evening the state service of National Security with the support of the state service of Internal affairs increased the number of special police forces in the region in order to maintain calmth and guarantee the public order. It has been since 2016 with the violent intervention of president Nikola Nikolaj that the tensions have reached this point.

How the situation will evolve in the coming days remains to be seen. The government has already announced that any form of violence will not be tolerated and calls for dialogue.
European councillor for Turkmenbaijan Aysel Annayewa stated already in a special meeting concerning this topic that a constructive solution is more than necessary; 'Europe doesn´t need a second Dromund Kaas'.

  • GRIM ATMOSPHERE - 4 ARRESTED

The atmosphere is completely wrapped in kharabad, the city where the special police forces are stationed by the state service of National Security. That's reported by several journalists of Melumat Agency, a cooperation of several independant Turkmenbaijani news media. Kharabad is located in the Kyrzbek region and is seen as its capital. 'An unprecedented number of police forces is to be seen in the streets. It has never been like this before.' says Jamul Galiyew, journalist for Melumat. 'This situation is about to explode. Only, nobody knows how they need to de-mine it.'

it has come to confrontations between protestors and the police around Bascisi-square. 4 protestors are arrested for now.
Remarkable; In front of the National Congress in Füzüli a demonstration was started this evening, in favour of the government and the unity of the country. Here Kyrzbeks are seen as apostates. The government calls for respect but says at the same time that the forces that threaten the unity of the country by using violence will not be tolerated.

  • PROTEST INCREASES

KHARABAD - At different locations in Kharabad angry protestors forced shopkeepers and public services to close. In this way they want to show their dissatisfaction in the approach between Turkmenbaijanis and Kyrzbeks.

It is not clear what size the protest has today. On social media, images have emerged of demonstrators who enter shops and government departments at various locations in Kharabad and force shopkeepers to close their doors with a lot of fuss and shouting. Those who do not do this are scolded for "coward".

Yesterday and the day before yesterday similar protests broke out. Then more than 100 people were arrested and released afterwards.

The security forces would not have intervened so far, but keep an eye on everything. The government has announced that there will be no assembly ban and that peaceful demonstration is allowed. 'Every form of violence will be served with a firm response.'; do we hear from the office of the state service of National Defense.

  • EMIR CONSTANTINI AGHAST

In a comment to our editors president Emir Constantini reacted to the statement of Hillary Clinton, prime minister of Australia, concerning the Kyrzbek situation:

'The prime minister has expressed her concerns and appealed us, Turkmenbaijanis and Kyrzbeks, to talk about the situation and to seek a longterm solution. I can't imagine someone can be against this, neither are we. But this solution has to be reasonable. First the public order and rest has to return; following on that we can work toward anything.'

'She proposes a referendum in which only Kyrzbeks can vote. I recognize among the Kyrzbeks there is a feeling of self-determination that may grow. But I want to underline very clear that Kyrzbeks, just like Turkmenbaijanis and immigrants are truly part of the State Turkmenbaijan. If there is a referendum, which is perfectly possible, all citizens has the right to vote, to express their opinion on such an important topic; the unity of the country, because this would not only change things for Kyrzbeks, but also for everybody living here in Füzüli, Äz Monzor, Marý... to name a few places.'

'About the fact that she wants to close the Australian border with Turkmenbaijan; nothing would change as their borders with Turkmenbaijan are closed since last year. Nothing has changed in their border policies towards our country since president Nikola Nikolaj intervened in Kyrzbekistan. We have seen her so-called sanctions and embargos already. It is the only thing she can come up with instead of sitting around the negotiating table, an idea she's very affectionated with. Yes, things has to change in Turkmenbaijan and yes we need to talk with all groups who are making up our nation and give the best of them.'

'My government dealed on a different way with the protests in Kyrzbekistan that the previous governments. The police didn't shoot, didn't locked up people or persecuted what other nations call 'renegades'. The police has supervised and arrested those who were attacking buildings, cars or people and after a questioning everybody was set to freedom the same night. We have had demonstrations in Füzüli too, which were in favour of the government. But there as well people who were using violence were arrested. If you can blame my government a lot, but no arbitrariness and violence.'
