What is occurring in Alkharya at the moment is Alkharya's business. I am sure that many of my most esteemed colleagues will agree with me when I say that the European Union is not the regional police. The only time I see it appropriate for the European Union to intervene is if it starts affecting the stability of our region-- which I don't think this incident has at large. As long as this rebellion has not violated the international conventions of war and are not infringing on other nations' territory, it is my belief the European Union should not intervene directly. I think there might be a case to be made though to give support to the Alkharyan state that is the member-state of the EU as well as providing some aid to the government. But any motion like this, Ruthund will stay out of. Tony Odhinazen EU Councilor, Ruthund

Press Statement - 22nd of February 2021 Dear Europeans, I am grateful that you have elected me as your Commissioner. I am glad that my extensive campaign has worked throughout Europe. I have already gotten to work as your new Commissioner, I start my job with a sunk heart as I receive the news from my homeland breaking up into pieces. The system that Alkharya has been subjected to was broken for centuries, and the cracks are now showing even more. I hope that I can bring better days to my nation and better days in Europe. For that, I am going to slowly roll out the promises I've made in my rallies. At the end of my four-month term, I will do, or attempt to do, the following: Adjust the budget of Eurorail to ensure no money is taken from non-participating countries Combat misinformation by adding a fact-check feature on the European Commission app Establish at least one summit in my term Ensure that Alkharyan turmoil does not spillover to nearby countries If possible, ensure a negotiation table with the Union of Syndicates after the terror settles down I hope that I can bring substantial change to European Union during my term. Take care, Münevver Birdane Internal Affairs Commissioner of the European Union

RALLY #8 - HANNKKARA, MENNRIMIAK - FEBRUARY 3RD, 2021 Since the flight was gonna be really long this time, Birdane couldn't have time to discuss with people in Leagio. After the rally, she immediately went to the airport again for a final rally: in Hannkkara, Mennrimiak. She walked this time as the rally arena was close to the airport. Hello, Hannkkara, Hello, Mennrimiak! I run for this position to give this world my best... Like how I gave the island I lived in my best. I am here to give one last rally before elections. I have said mostly everything that I can say. I have preached my message all around Europe and will continue to do so, even if I lose this election. After all, even if I don't get the position, I'm still a human. I will work for everyone, even those who have not chosen me. Because it doesn't matter. Polarization and division is the last thing Europe needs. We need peace, unity, harmony and competence. We need competent people in the office, and since I believe that I am competent, I am running for this position. The European Union is chaotic. Nobody will deny this. It's a collective entity of member states with vastly different cultures, views, opinions, among other things. I have always expressed disdain to those who do not listen to these states enough. Many member states are quite isolated from Europolis, more than you think, they cannot make their voice heard enough, and I feel Mennrimiak is one of them. I will work hard to make sure this never happens in my term. We need communication, we need diplomacy, we need respect. We don't need Europolis telling states what to do. We don't need half-baked policies whose submitters never think of long-term effects. We need vision, and not many have it. We need to move forward. We need to have stable grounds, we need to stop wasting our time with showbiz, we need to move. Forward. No more infighting. No more useless arguments. I don't want it! I won't do it, If I get elected. The Concert of Europe moves on, and I want to make it a little peaceful during my lifetime. Some last words... I want to thank Alkharya, Europe, supporters or not, to giving me the opportunity to speak in various countries. Even if it all fails, may the torch light on for progress, success and better days... Thank you all. I love all of you.

Live coverage - ART - December 29th, 2020 - 01:10 - from Kaanpaşa, FCR *And, just right after the New Years, all the counts are finished. The results were already ratified way before but, Barbaros and Kaanpaşa have finally finished their counts and they both say YES, making the final vote 55.1% YES to 44.9% NO. President Tülay Elçi will give a speech about the referendum very shortly, as we speak. This referendum decided whether or not Alkharya would have presidential elections and the people said yes to them. Currently, there's a big crowd around Elçi's house and we are expecting her to come outside very shortly. The press is waiting at her door and- Oh! She just came! Okay. Switch the camera, yeah? (The point of view gets switched to another camera that's closer to the President. After coming out of her house, a bunch of microphones from the media are shoved into her face as the nation waits for her words.) Thank you. Dear Alkharyans, it's been an honour to see a democratic referendum take place here once again. The fact that we have established democracy with such longevity is enough to make our ancestors proud. I have watched the results progress alongside with you. I have no doubt that the election was done free and fair, as usual. I would like to honour those who worked to make this referendum come true. I would also like to honour those who have voted and made their voices heard. Your decision is the government's command. It is my command to make your decision become reality. It is truly amazing to see Alkharyans taking more control of our democracy. In 2022, The first presidential elections will be held, and I will be one of the candidates. Until then, long live democracy! Long live unity! Long live Alkharya!

With 6 votes for and 8 votes against, this repeal has been REJECTED. I thank the Councillors from Leagio, the United Duchies, Nofoaga, Montenbourg, Spain, Ruthund and Icholasen for standing up for democratic values and for allowing the people of the member states to choose their representatives, and to keep both the European Council and the European Union democratically legitimate. This is a great triumph against those who seek to make the European Union unaccountable to the people of Europe, and who wish to make Europolis a dark cave for unelected shadow bureaucrats. Showtime - Northern independence results announced And they are as shady as you think The news has been announced by the Northern state-dictated media. Apparently, with a 96% turnout, 90% of the state voted for independence. But the election is more sketchy than a 6-year-old trying to draw with an Etch-a-Sketch, as the so-called Realm tried their best to ensure that the referendum was in their favour. While ONE Radio said they would accept outsiders to check their elections, said outsiders apparently had problems with getting a visa. It's common for these observes to get completely ghosted by the Realm. Vaschel Aidallbery, a political science graduate from the United Duchies, said that the so-called Realm was "more unresponsive than a 20-year-old computer". He said that he completely gave up after the Realm wanted "incredibly personal information", including his social security number to grant him a political visa. Similar complaints came from Jody Barnett, which tried to observe the election from Leagio. They claimed that the government wanted their address to "send out a form for the visa", as the illegitimate state doesn't have an embassy anywhere. Footage and witness report from the towns and villages near the border flow relentlessly and it appears that the Northern military junta is having a hard time controlling the press. Some voters are forced at gunpoint to vote for independence. It is reported that 1/3 of the employees on ONE have disappeared, arrested or publicly beaten somewhere. Freedom of speech is absolutely unheard of in the so-called Glorious Kingdom. The area is in such a chaotic state that nobody is exactly sure who the leader is. It is predicted that the nation is run by a council of thirty or so soldiers, none of which are public figures. The city of Alderik, which is now considered "the capital of the Realm", is on a condition possibly worse than the city of Kiel according to whistleblowers, which is remarkable given that the Realm had only existed since mid-February.
