President McGovern will arrive in Montevideo International on Saturday hence where she hopes to meet with you, the President and members of the Government. President McGovern recently elected as an independent will bolster political ties but form a relationship that is rich in culture and social links and has confirmed that she will visit the sites of where Offaly Aid has been of use after the tragic earthquake to your country. President McGovern arrives on Air Force One at Montevideo International Airport

On arriving in Montevideo she is greeted by the Ambassador to Occoron who is overjoyed to see the new President. Mrs McGovern admires the blue azure skies that grace Montevideo and looks to grab a cool drink from one of her advisers. Excited by the latest pictures coming through of the enormous preparations for the State Visit, President McGovern stands resolutely and acknowledges the Occoronian Guard of Honour with the national anthem playing. President McGovern then retires to her Presidential Vehicle and proceeds to her next location which presumably is the Presidential Palace in Montevideo but L.O Officials are yet unsure...

Foreign Minister of L.O Initial Remarks
'The progress that will be made on this visit and the following visits will firmly put Occoron and Laois-Offaly and the heart of Europe and will be a turning point for this continent. I hope to agree today the creation of a cultural exchange between Occoron and Laois and Offaly that could be advanced into a grander political project involving aid and political integration. The building blocks built here in Montevideo will be pivotal for the future of both our countries and I am like President McGovern huge proponents of a future where Occoron and Laois and Offaly guide the way and set the pace.'

  • As the President lives in a normal house in Occoron, foreign Head of States and other guests are welcomed in the 'Palacio de la Democracia', the palace of the former Kings of Occoron. As the last king and also the first President, Simon Boliv?r, thought it was very important that a President lived within his people, the palace became a congress centre.

The Occoronian Minister of Foreign Affairs:
First of all, welcome in the Democratic Republic of Occoron. We are very happy to welcome you in our home nation.
Of course, we are also interested in cultural exchange between our nations. I also hope we can make an agreement about that. I am very curious about the proposals of Laois and Offaly.

  • President McGovern's motorcade glides into the Palacio Pueblo and admires the astonishing architecture, similar to that of the Presidential residence in Frankenhalt, the Palacio Real. President McGovern observes deers frolicking on the lush green grass that carpets the path up to where the President of Foreign Affairs awaits

  • Cead mile failte go lear, a hundred thousand welcomes to all gathered here at the Palacio Pueblo for what is the first state visit of any Offalian official to the sacred shores of Occoron. Today's landmark gesture is the beginning of a dialogue that will last many years and shape the future for hundreds. Today I meet the new President of Occoron and let me say what a wonderful welcome I have recieved. The hospitality and goodwill I have been shown has been so awe inspiring and sets an example to us all of the benefits of diplomacy and more importantly of the infamous Occoronian welcome. Our nations are becoming closer and our dealings becoming more detailed, so as we move through this state visit I'm looking for someone who I can cement this strong bilateral relationship with... and I think the Occoronian people and the President have just what we need! It's wonderful to be here and I look forward to meeting you all!

Some hours later, President McGovern and her delegation are taken to the ?Palacio de la Democracia?, again escorted by the Occoronian Police. The Occoronian President ad interim Garica is very excited to meet her, as it is his first meeting with a head of state as President. He is waiting at the entrance of the palace, when the limousines of the Offilian delegation arrive at the Palacio. President McGovern is accompanied by the Occoronian ambassador ?they already know each other-, and he takes her to President ad interim Garcia, for the first meeting between the two head of states.

President McGovern, truly overwhelmed by the welcome leaves the car and shakes the hand of a waiting Policeman who was part of the security on the way to the Palacio de Democracia. She walks up to President ad interim Garcia and warmly embraces him sharing kisses on the cheek. They spent a few seconds talking and admiring the grounds before rotating to face cameras and photographers. They then proceed to enter the Palacio and engage in conversation

    President McGovern
'So good to see you at last President Garcia! What a fantastic day were having and before we move on, thank you for the twelve points! It's wonderful to be here and I must say this Palace is so ornate, I'd love to live here! About this cultural exchange, I was hoping Laois and Offaly could host a cultural exhibition in Frankenhalt, showcasing the arts and culture of our nations. I was thinking Occoron maybe could present a snapshot of their culture and to culminate, we could unveil a specially designed monument to our relationship. Sorry if this is too much but I am really hyped for this visit! Thank you so much again!

?This is indeed a fantastic day, and I?m very happy to meet you finally. Congratulations with your third place at Eurovoice7. Rihanna is a great singer and she performed a great song as well. I like your idea about cultural exchange. It?s a very good idea to expose a little bit of the Occoronian culture in Frankenhalt, and I will ask some Occoronian architects to think together with some Offilian colleagues to design a monument. I would also like to start some student exchange programs, as it is very important ?in my opinion- that students get the opportunity to learn more about other cultures, languages etc. I would also like to invite you and your delegation here for a state dinner. Tomorrow, I would like to show you some projects, funded with Offilian money after the devastating earthquake. In the afternoon, we can unveil the monument that was designed by the famous Occoronian architect, Ojedo Obando, who also designed our pavilion at the EU Expo in Montevideo.?

  • I can only mirror the sentiments from President Garcia! I fully support his aims he has just set out and these are key to the survival and growth of our relationship. From exchanges and events like this one today, we can fully understand each other and become brothers in the European family united and determined to achieve for our people. I am immensely looking forward to seeing what Offalian Aid has done in respect to the recent earthquake and wait with baited breath for this monument unveiling!

After a breakfast with some Occoronian specialities, both Presidents were escorted to some projects, financed by the Offilian people and government after the earthquake in Asunci?n. One hospital and one school were repaired, another school was totally rebuilt. Also several houses were built with the money.

    President ad interim Garcia
After the devastating earthquake in Asunci?n, many Occoronian lives were lost. Tears flowed while people were mourning for loved ones. But at the same time, a never seen wave of solidarity and compassion came to Occoron. Occoronian rescue workers did everything they could to save as many lives as possible, Occoronian people were helping each other by searching loved ones, taking care of wounded people, by looking after children. At the same time, also the European Union and their member states sent a lot of aid to Occoron: Rescue workers, medical teams, medication, etc. During those dark days, sometimes there was a moment of hope: for example when the Aurean team rescued a boy in a totally destroyed building. When the press is gone, when the foreign rescue workers went home, the Occoronian people was alone. They had to rebuilt the second largest city of their loved country stone by stone, just after the funerals of family members and friends. But we did it! Together with money collected all over Europe, the Occoronian people and government succeeded to rebuilt Asunci?n. I am very proud to show you, President McGovern, today what we did with the money of your citizens. I would also like to thank everyone who helped Occoron to raise again after this catastrophe.
    Thank you

    Yesterday
A state dinner was organised by the Occoronian President ad interim Garcia to end the second day of the state visit of the Offilian President in a proper way. They seemed to get along. While they were eating some Occoronian gastronomic specialities, they talked about the EuroVoice-matter, student exchange programs etc. President ad interim Garcia also explained to President McGovern what he wanted to do next day. She agreed.

I must say I have been deeply moved by the success that has emerged from the embers of such an earthquake. Asuncion looks renewed and filled with the optimism and hope of many a strong and resilient city. These buildings doesn't just represent Laois-Offaly's money but the resolve and dedication of the builders, the teachers and the workers that breathe life into this city and to this country which stands tall on the world stage. It stands testament to the people of our nations and the peoples of Europe who when are knocked down, will get up again, stronger and determined to deliver a new and better future. These bricks and the bricks of a new relationship between Occoron and Laois and Offaly. Every brick in this building, every school student, every patient, every nurse stand together as an example to the world and Europe that the future we build and the humanity that we share, binds us together in friendship but more importantly in kinship. And that's why I'd like to thank my friend, President Garcia, for his hospitality and his warmth that he has shared with me and my delegation and overall my country. I am indebted to you and I thank you so much, you are an inspiration to your country and to our relationship.God bless Occoron, god save this land and long live our strong, fruitful and energetic relationship!

This is the Memorial Park for the casualties of the earthquake in Asunci?n. In the middle of the park, you can see this monument. It was designed by the famous Occoronian architect Ojedo Obando. At the inside of this monument, the names of all the casualties are graved. I would like you to officially inaugurate this park with me, President McGovern.

President Garcia, this monument embodies those lost in the earthquake in Asuncion and in turn embodies the families affected. This monument doesn't therefore just represent them but everyone because this earthquake touched us all. All over Europe, a bond was formed by the people commemorated here and the people watching at home. Europe is built on solidarity and it's here that I make my firm pledge to these people in the name of European solidarity. Every last one of the people who lost their lives tragically in this earthquake were are friends, our relatives, our firemen, our teachers and our kinsmen. We will forever be in need of those people and I now call a minute of silence in memory of these people and the hope that this monument stands forever as a sign of our contract and bond to those people, we will remember them forever and ever. To you... to Occoron... to your memory
