The Sydney Morning Herald congratulates the new European Commission, and in our dealings with Europe, we wish to see the progress this Commission can make come to fruition.
PM Abbott Looks to Repeal Labour's Carbon Tax
Canberra -- Prime Minister Tony Abbott and his Australian Liberal Party are looking to, with their government, repeal Australia's carbon tax, calling it job killing. The former Labour government put the laws into effect hoping to significantly reduce dirty industry jobs and foster growth in the alternative energy market.
Australia, however, buying uranium from the world market, can in fact produce safe nuclear energy at home, and the carbon tax never made an account of that.
PM Abbott also said the measures are "job killing" and without it, Australia would be able to create thousands more jobs for its citizens.
Parliament Votes to Ban Teaching about Icholasen
Canberra -- In a stunning vote, the Federal Parliament has voted to ban teaching about the former homeland of Australia, Icholasen, citing that while Icholasen did colonize the land that now makes up Australia, that it would be a clear case of interference into national affairs to allow Icholasen to continue to hold influence.
PM Abbott was also overheard saying something along the lines of their "extreme allowance of transgender people and homosexual people into its mainstream culture was corrupting to Australia and to the Christian nations of the European Union".
