Rimroth is a huge, pleasant country with an environmentally stunning landscape at the coast of the Black See. The Rimrothian landscape is untouched by human hands on the most places, because the Rimrothian citizens mostly live in the cities. Rimroth is quite desolate, apart from the cities. Rimroth has a great history of pride, war and friendship. It is led by the Baron Giesel Farindar and the Baroness Mary Farindar-Sterling.

The Rimrothian language does not consist of the characters used in the Alphabatical Writing. The Rimrothian Alphabet is largely based on the Anglo-Saxon runes.
** Instead of Q, use CW
Some characters in the Rimrothian alphabet are used for two letters. The Rimrothian alphabet does not contain capital letters, but they can be used if the words are written in the Alphabetical Writing. This alphabet is used since the first inhabitants of Rimroth lived here. It was very easy to carve into stone, because of the straight lines it mostly consists of.
One can use the Rimrothian characters for both English and Rimrothian sentences.
Words are saparated by ?, sentences by three ? above each other, and a paragraph is two times the sentence end in sequence.
This says: the Barony of Rimroth
The Rimrothian Alphabet also contains numerals. This are only 10 different characters, which makes the numerals very simple to learn.
To make longer numbers, you just needs to put them behind one another.
The Rimrothian language is a mix of Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish, and a bit of english. All words can be written both in Rimrothian Alphabet as well as in the Alphabetical Writing.
Plural is very easy to make in Rimrothian. WHen having a noun you just put an "n" behind it.
For example: Valjeta - Plural: Valetan, which means "days".
There is of course an exception for nouns ending with an "n". These don't get an extra "n". They stay the same, and you need to figure it out from the context.
In Rimrothian sentences, objects get a few extra letters to make clear they are objects.
Singular: -a Plural: -ai
For example: Valjeta - Singular: Valjetaa - Plural: Valjetanai
(Of course using the plural "n")

Rimroth uses a Runic Calendar. This is a perpetual calendar based on a 19 year long moon cycle. These calendars were written on parchment or carved into staves of wood, bone or horn.
If you look to the upper row you see a cycle of repeating characters. These are seven characters, each one representing a day in the week. The characters are in fact the numbers 1-7. The lower row is a row with special occassions. The first character is a character for the number 5, which means the fifth month started. The second character in that row is the letter t, which stands for Tunglith which means moon. This means on that day there was a full moon. The third character is the character for the letter o, which stands for ?skord, which means harvest. These are just a few examples.
A month consists of 23 days, which means 3 weeks and 2 days. A full cycle is 19 years long, which means it's 6935 days long. A cycle consists roughly of 301 and a half months. There are 17 different months, which are repeated after one another. Every month will pass about 17 times in a cycle.
The months are in order:
Jvar - Agrid - Vandrgar - Nitten - Sytti - Hundre - Rindre - Attia - Tolv - Uthus - Lasti - Adriv - Grunnen - Horo - Vaskr - Hvit - Gron
A Rimrothian year is 17 months long. Counting started in 1230 AD, when Lyandrus Farindar came to power, and Rimroth became a Barony. Which means today (30 june 2014) is on the Rimrothian calendar 19 Ulthus of the year 732. Notation: (19-10-732) or in Runes:
The Rimrothian History is written down in a book called Historia Rimrothia
It's now in the National Museum of History and Relics in Rimroth-City. It's very old, and it's written by at least 50 writers, all from a different era.
Days of Kings
Nowadays Rimroth is a Barony. Before that it was a Kingdom. Before all that Rimroth was inhabitated by tribes called the Sachsons. These tribes settled down in settlements which became bigger over the centuries. The tribes also merged together into one society living in several settlements troughout Ravndall. Over the centuries religion was also becoming one entirety instead of he several different religions of the different tribes. In the year 600 AD one leader was chosen: Agot I. However he was murdered after a couple of weeks and a new leader came to power. He was also murdered in a couple of weeks, and this happened with several leaders. The first leader surviving for more than a year as leader was Agot III. He is generally accepted as the first king of Rimroth.
Days of Barons
In 1230 AD King Ardris II died. Lyandrus was heir to the throne, however his younger brother Zarias took the Throne, and tried to assasinate Lyandrus twice. This failed twice, and Zarias fled the city. In 1243 AD he returned with an army which he managed to get from the landlords surrounding Ravndall. Zarias conquered the lands surrounding Ravndall. Lyandrus hold Ravndall for over a year, and started calling himself Farindar which means ?The Holder?. Later Zarias? army was defeated, and he fled the country. What happened to him is unknown. Because Ravndall was only a small part of Rimroth Lyandrus Farindar reigned as a Baron. This has never changed, even when later whole Rimroth was under control of the Farindar family.
The religion from the original tribes of Rimroth has not disappeared from society. It presence was strong, which meant Christianity could not get a foothold in Rimroth. There are only three Christian buildings in Rimroth. Because Christianity did not get a foothold, the Dark Ages in Rimroth were not that dark all together. Development continued faster than in nations which did had Dark Ages. Because of this, Rimroth is in the forefront of science these days.
Rimroth charged toll on the Ravnstrait, the stretch of sea between Nordphalen and the main land. Because of this Rimroth became very rich.
Nordphalen, which is the most northern province of Rimroth, at the other side of the Black Sea was, untill 1486, independent. However Baron Halvard decided to conquer it when a Rimrothian trading post was put to the torch multiple times by the inhabitants of Nordphalen.
The coastlines of Nordphalen were often terrorised by Pirates coming from the Windheim Islands, they raided villagers, stole everything they could get a hold on and raped the women. In 1498 Baron Halvard decided to put an end to this and attacked the Islands, and annexed them. Since this day Rimroth earned the trust of the people of Nordphalen. Since 1498 the shape of Rimroth hasn't changed, it looked exactly the same as it does now.
The Age of Enlightment started around 1550 in Rimroth. During the Age of Enlightment the Second Rimrothian Revolution took place. The first being around 1455, when the printing press was invented, and books could be copied faster. The need to learn became higher, and so it was that a lot of universities opened around Rimroth, the largest being the University of Rimroth City. This could be funded by the lots of money Rimroth made with the charging of toll on the Ravnstrait. The Second Rimrothian Revolution took place around 1600, when the Age of Engightment had already started. However the Second Revolution was more focused on philosophy.
Around 1790 the Industrialisation started and continued for more than a century.
The Steam Engine was an important invention from that time.
The Rimrothian Religion still had a strong presence in Rimroth and, however the number of Religious People has reduced, a lot of people still support the Rimrothian Religion.
Up untill the First Rimrothian Revolution most of the people believed in the Rimrothian Mythology, also known as Gudarism. Gudarism consists of 12 gods. Some said the Gods lived on the Fernpeak, while others said they live in a world called Asgard. (Fer = Rimrothian for God, Fern = plural). These gods all had different tasks, and managed different things in nature.
Is?: This was the Father of all the Gods. He gives them leadership. He is also God of the Earth.
?iti: She gave birth to all the other Gods, except for Is?, which is her husband. She is also the godess of the Sea.
Viisau: First born son of Is? and ?iti, this is the God of Wisdom. He gave wisdom to all humans, so they could create fire, and tools.
El?imet: Second born son of Is? and ?iti, he controls the animals.
Airut: Third born son of Is? and ?iti, this is the messenger of the Gods.
Kasvi: The first daughter of Is? and ?iti, she associated with everything that grows in the wild. Plants, trees etcetera.
Sota: Fourth son of Is? and ?iti, he is the god of War and the dead. Most of the times people didn't really prey for him, except in wartimes.
Aurinko: Second daughter of Is? and ?iti, she makes sure the sun and moon move across the sky.
Then there are the four gods of seasons, one for each season. The Rimrothian people believed that those four were always engaged in a battle in Asgard. The season of the winning god would be appearing. These four gods were born at the same time, which makes them a quadruplet.
Kes?: God of Summer
Talvi: God of Winter
Kev?t: Goddess of Spring
Syksy: God of Autumn
In the First Rimrothian Revolution the people believing in the Rimrothian Mythology was significantly reduced. However the names of the gods still remain in the Rimrothian language. For example the seasons are still called Kes?, Talvi, Kev?t, and Syksy. Other religions didn't really got a foothold in Rimroth. Because of this the Dark Ages weren't that dark in Rimroth, because science and knowledge weren't suppressed by the church.
The children of Is? and ?iti also got a lot of children themselves. But these didn't always live in Asgard. Some of them lived there, but others roamed the lands of Rimroth.
The Rimrothian Mythology consisted of two worlds:
Asgard: Here live the Gods
Midgard: Here live the humans and the animals.
Niflheim: Here go the dead. Sota, god of the dead rules here.
The creation of the universe
Maailmankain, and the creation of the worlds
First there was nothing, and then there were Is? and ?iti. It is not known how they came. Is? had a horn, called the Sarvi. He blew the Sarvi once to create Asgard. He and ?iti started to live there. Viisau was born to Is? and ?iti. After this Is? blew Sarvi again, so hard that it broke in a thousand bits. Is? was very sad of this, so he went to his wife. A second son was born, El?imet. Over time the broken bits of Sarvi came together, to form Jord, ground. The four existing gods visited Jord regularly. Everytime they went there something was added. The first time, ?iti created the Sea's. The second time, El?imet created animals. After visiting twice, the gods returned again to Asgard. After a while they saw that all the animals started dying. Airut was born to Is? and ?iti, the third son. El?imet created animals again, and Airut went with him to Jord. After the animals were back, El?imet returned to Asgard, but Airut stayed on Jord. Everytime an animal died, Airut went back to Asgard to report this.
Later, when all the animals died again, Kasvi was born, she was the first daughter to Is? and ?iti. She went to Jord and created plants and trees, and everything that grows. Airut, who was still on Jord, went to El?imet, to ask him to create animals one more time. This time however, the animals stayed alive, because they ate the plants and trees Kasvi created. Is? felt Jord was still a bit empty. He went there and created a new being. This new being is a m?nniska, a human. He created hundreds of them, thousands. Airut, who was now essentially the messenger, stayed on Jord while El?imet, Kasvi and Is? returned to Asgard. After they returned, Viisau went to Jord to take a look at how everything was now there. He thought the m?nniskan could be more intelligent, to he granted the m?nniskan wisdom. The m?nniskan used this wisdom to discover fire, make tools, build houses etcetera. From the moment the m?nniskan set foot on Jord, Jord is called Midgard.
Sota was born as the fourth son to Is? and ?iti. After this the gods noticed Midgard got overcrowded, it was crawling with m?nniskan, because their lives were infinite. This was when Sota created a new world with the remaining bits of Sarvi: Niflheim. Sota removed the infinity of the lives of the m?nniskan. When they died, they went to Niflheim, ruled by Sota. The number of m?nniskan on Midgard shrunk.
Midgard was covered in eternal darkness. There was no light. When Aurinko, second daughter of Is? and ?iti was born, she created Sol, the sun, and tunglith, the moon. It was Aurinko's duty to move them across the sky, so Midgard could bathe in light. Because Sol moved across the sky, half of the time it was light, and half of the time it was dark. When the m?nniskan started to develop a language, they began calling this phenomenon valjeta, which means day.
The m?nniskan began developing a calendar. They started calling 7 days a viiko, a week. They started giving the days a name:
The calendar could be developed more when a quadruplet was born to Is? and ?iti. These four didn't get along well together, they were always fighting. The one that was winning the battle, used his might to show the worlds he was winning. The four gods had a different might each. Hence the seasons, every season represents a might of one of the four fighting gods.

These are the flags of the Rimrothian Provinces:
The Rimrothian Wolf
The Rimrothian Wolf is a breed of wolf only seen in Rimroth. They are slightly bigger than ordinary wolves. The latin name is Canis Rimra.
The Rimrothian Wolf appeared on the Rimrothian Flags in the Days of the Kings. Around 900 AD it is believed to appeared on the flags for the first time. The only flag it wasn't on was the flag used from 1814 to 2013. The Rimrothian Wolf is also in the Farindar Coat of Arms as the two supporters.
According to legends some of the Kings and Barons of Rimroth rode them into battle, like horses. This seems unlikely, because the Rimrothian Wolf is hard to tame.
The Rimrothian Wolf is a protected animal in Rimroth. Partly because there are relatively few left, and partly because the Wolf is the national animal.
The Wolf is spotted only twice in other nations.

Form of Government
From 1243 the province of former Kingdom Vardria, Rimrothia, became a barony, with Lyandrus as baron. Although Rimroth is in name a barony nowadays, it works as a kingdom. The tasks of the Baron are similar to those of a King. Several times troughout Rimrothian History it is debated to change back to a Kingdom. This happened partially in 1767. This means that the Baron is actually a King, but in name he is still a Baron, and Rimroth still a Barony. This means Rimroth is unclaimable as property of another nation despite being called a Barony.
The government is right-winged and conservative.
After the last elections the sitting-order is in the parliament is the following:
NRF: National Rimrothian Front
NLP: National Labour Party
RSU: Rimroth Socialists United
PoL: Party of Libertarians
AP: Autocratic Party
65+: 65+ Party

NSDP: National Socialist Democratic Party
PP: Pirate Party
