  • FEDERAL DIET OF WESELTON

    The Federal Diet of Weselton is the lower house of Parliament. The Diet is composed of 130 members who are elected by proportional representation from Constituencies across the nation. Elections happen every 3 years.

    Number of Seats: 130
    Political Party Composition:
    -Social Democratic Party of Weselton (93 seats)
    -Left Coalition (37 seats)
    President of the Diet: Maria Heinz (Social Dem)

    POWERS: The Diet must approve all laws with a simple majority, the majority leader in the Diet becomes the Chancellor

  • FEDERAL COUNCIL OF WESELTON

    The Federal Council of Weselton is the upper house of Parliament. The Federal Council is composed of representatives from each constituent state. The delegation from each state is chaired by its "Head of Government" and the Head of State chooses the members attending the Council with approval of the State Parliament. Each State is allotted a certain number of votes though and members are either appointed equal to the amount of votes or one member is appointed with all the votes. Each delegation must vote as a block though and they determine the course in which they should vote. They are required to vote for their state and can be removed from office at anytime by the Head of State of their State with approval of the state parliament.

    Number of Votes Per State:
    *Note: States cannot have less than 3 votes or more than 6 votes
    -Westphalia: 6 votes (Left Coalition)
    -Weselton: 6 votes (Social Democrats)
    -Vulgaria: 3 votes (Left Coalition)
    -Tomainia: 6 Votes (Social Democrats)
    -Osterlich: 3 votes (Left Coalition)
    -Bacteria: 6 votes (Social Democrats
