In hopes of reviving European art and promoting culture while providing a relief from the recent turulent events in Europe, such as the war over Prussia and the Sahara Crisis, Aleonoria has decided to host an international exhibition in the Palace of Versailles where all nations of the European Union are invited to present their cultural heritage and showcase their historical art, educating nations about one another's roots in the meantime. However, while commoners are going to have to purchase a pass to the exhibition, all leaders in the European Union were invited to both the exhibition and a dinner that is to take place afterwards where they will be able to bond and discuss different subjects. They are also going to be expected to stay over for a night prior to leaving the state, participating in a formal breakfast before leaving the state.

  • Name of the nation: Icholasen

Names of attendants: Queen Anastasia and Prince Tommy

    Showcased art pieces:

Steamship offshore in Saint Regina (1832) Icholasen, being an Island nation is renowned for its shipbuilding. This is one of the first commercial steamships operating the channel between Icholasen and Miraco. Since then the route has been widely used and is one of the shortest route that is traveled every 20 minutes.

Mediterranean Ladies (1770) In the 1700s Icholasen was phased by the warmth, style and glamour of the Mediterranean. Icholasen is a maritime climate so is normally cold anyway, but it's pretty far north too. So, the Nicoleizians were amazed by how lovely and warm it was, and, they believed their romances were laid back in the warm summer heat.

Cat (and Adam and Eve) (1782) In Icholasen, cats are regarded as higher beings. In most Nicoleizian religious art, cats are seen. This is thought to be related to the pagan pantheon (all made up of cats). After Christianity spread to the island, cats were still held in God-like regard and so made appearances in most religious art such as this one, with Adam and Eve.

Cathedral of Saint Regina (1745) Christianity is another strong focus point of Nicoleizian art. Christianity has been the dominant religion for one thousand five hundred years. Cathedrals have been strong focus points of daily life in Icholasen, usually in the center of towns, or cities. Often Cathedrals are built on, destroyed and rebuilt and just have constant changes; because of this, the Saint Regina Cathedral has changed a lot since the artist made this piece.
