9 earthquakes have shook Granada in the last hour, according to the Instituto Geográfico Nacional (IGN). Since the 22nd January, Granada hasn't stopped shaking, with the bigest earthquake registered that day with a magnitude of 4.5. People have exited their houses and ran to the streets because of the panic and fear that it's currently being lived there. Juanma Moreno, the Junta de Andalucía's President, has posted a tweet saying "emergency services are ready to act if needed". Luis Salvador, the mayor of Granada, has asked the people to keep calm and return to their houses: 'I've talked with some experts and they have told me this is normal when these kind of scenarios take place. There's no risk of a big one right now, so please, go back to your houses".
The Spanish President, Jesús Aguilar, is following the development of the situation in Granada closely. He has summoned the Mayor of Granada and the President of Andalucía to a videochat meeting to follow the situation closely. On a tweet he has posted, Aguilar has alleged he won't sleep tonight, as now it's much more important to 'give attention to what's currently going on in Granada than sleeping.' We will continue informing during the next hours.

UPDATE - Granada has registered more earthquakes during the night, from 1.0 to 2.9 magnitude. Experts disagree on what could happen during the next days: while some say everything should start to calm down, others suggest a strong one could happen and even a tsunami could happen in Andalucía if a strong earthquake happened in the Mediterranean Sea. The Spanish President, Jesús Aguilar, hasn't slept during the night and he's expected to visit Granada with the President of the Junta de Andalucía today. UPDATE - The President of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, and the President of Spain, Jesús Aguilar, have both arrived in Granada and then travelled to Santa Fe in order to check the damages of the earthquakes that struck the village during last night. 1 hour ago, a 2.1 magnitude earthquake struck Santa Fe again, with no damage reported. The area is still under the pre-emergency alert. - 11:39 - 27.01.2021
UPDATE - While the President, Jesús Aguilar, and the President of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, were checking the damages in Chauchina, they have been surprised by a 3.0 magnitude earthquake with the epicentre being located in Santa Fe, town they have visited this morning. The citizens and the politicians are alright, and the President has asked everyone to stay inside while he was given a protective helmet. - 13:00 - 27.01.2020
UPDATE - A building in Maracena (Granada) has been evacuated due to a structural damage which was there before the earthquakes, but these has made it worse. The neighbours are allowed to go back to their houses as there's no risk for the building. - 13:33 - 27.01-2020
UPDATE - The Junta de Andalucía's President, Juanma Moreno, has thanked Reitzmag and Alkharya for their proposal and intention to send help, but he says it's not needed as of now. He has also been asked about the deployed aid Reitzmag has sent: "The help packages will be storaged just in case or, if the Kingdom of Reitzmag wants, they can take them home. We are very thankful, but the worse thing we have seen right now is a building in Maracena which has severe structural damage." - 19:03 - 27.01.2021

UPDATE - 2 earthquakes has struck Santa Fe again. 1 hour ago, a 3.6 magnitude hit the city, and 20 minutes ago, a 4.3 struck the Granada's city once again. People are terrified and they are running to the streets, parks and to their cars, where they are expected to spend the night at. The Authonomical Delagate in Granada from the Junta de Andalucía has strongly advised the Granadinos to stay home. - 20:15 - 28.01.2021

UPDATE - Around 590 earthquakes have struck Granada since December. The last one has just taken place 3 minutes ago, a 3.3 magitude with its epicentre being located at Santa Fe. Before that one, 2 more (2.3 and 2.1 maginute) have also struck Granada. - 20.30 - 28.01.2020

UPDATE - Santa Fe has once again been struck by a 3.1 and 3.4 magnitude earthquake 27 and 14 minutes ago. Emergencias 112 Andalucía has dealed with 865 calls since last Saturday and coordinated more than 200 incidences. More than 75 of them were reporting material damage. - 22:44 - 28.01.2021

UPDATE - The earthquakes events have damaged the Iglesia de la Encarnación of Santa Fe. The last earthquake, 1.9 magnitude on the Richter scale, has calmed the situation, which was more tense half an hour ago, when a 3.4 earthquake struck Santa Fe once again. Inside the church, some cracks on the roof and the ceiling.

UPDATE - 60 earthquakes have struck Granada during the night. The most important ones have been a pair of 3.0 magnitude in Atarfe around 5 AM and a 3.3 magnitude in Santa Fe, which happened 21 minutes ago. - 9:25 - 29.01.2021
UPDATE - A new 3.3 magnitude earthquake has struck Santa Fe 48 minutes ago. There are several material damages in houses and buildings, while the Santa Fe's Town Hall has ordered to retire the bells from the town's historic archs.
