Spanish Elections - Special Programme
Ana Blanco: Good evening everyone and welcome to Radio Televisión Española elections programme, where we will analyze, transmit and reveal to the rest of the world our Elections results. Good evening Carlos, how are you feeling tonight?Carlos Franganillo: Hi Ana, I'm feeling very good. Today, we have lots of reporters in every single Spanish province, so, we will give our spectators the best and the most updated info of everything happening toningt.
AB: And now, let's see the first post-electoral survey made by GAD3, what does this survey say Carlos?
CF: Well Ana, the Partido Popular would get 175 seats, losing only 1 seat, but also the majority. The Partido Socialista would get 75 seats, Ciudadanos would get 34 seats, Unidas Podemos, 30 seats, VOX, the far-right party would enter in the Parlament with 10 seats, Esquerra Republicana would get 8 seats, 6 seats for Junts Per Catalunya, so the Catalonians Independentists parties would get 14 seats, the Partido Nacionalista Vasco would get 5 seats, EH Bildu, the basque party with an ideology that is similar to ETA would get 2 seats, Navarra Suma would get 2 seats also and 1 seat for Coalición Canaria, Compromís and the Partido Regionalista De Cantabria.

AB: Thanks Carlos. Before we start revealing the results, let's remember our spectators our Electoral System.
CF: Of course Ana. So, the Congreso de los Diputados has 350 seats. This seats get allocated to the deputies by provinces, in our case, we have 53 provinces, and the number of seats are allocated by the population. This means that Soria, gets only 2 seats, the minimum, while Málaga gets the highest, 37.
AB: And now we are ready to see the results. It's 11 O'clock at night, and the polling stations have been closed for 3 hours since now. Surprinsingly, the results have been decided very fast, and I think we have a new record. Am I right Carlos?
CF: You are Ana. And now, here we have the results.
CF: As we can see, and I'll call this a miracle, the Partido Popular gets the majority once again, with 176 seats.
Then we have the Partido Socialista with 75 seats, gaining 5 more than the last elections, it seems that Pedro Sánchez's work has been awarded with 5 more deputees.
Ciudadanos got 34 seats, and loses 7 seats. It seems that most of the votes from other provinces hav moved to the Partido Popular.
Unidas Podemos continues falling, they've lost 10 seats, getting just 30 seats. This could be the end of the political career of Pablo Iglesias, very bad results from his party.
VOX, the far-right party have gotten 10 seats, and surpringsinly their votes come from Unidas Podemos. We will debate this during the rest of the night, but, amazing how the votes of VOX has growed in 3 years.AB: Then we have the Catalonian independentists parties, Esquerra Republicana have gotten 8 seats, and Junts Per Catalunya, only 6. It seems that Puigdemont's party it's falling more and more, and still we need to see the Catalonian Elections results.
The Partido Nacionalista Vasco keeps 5 seats, as always. And it's rival in the País Vasco, EH Bildu, let's remember that it's a party with a similar ideology with ETA, have gotten 2 seats.
And finally, 1 seat for Navarra Suma, Coalición Canaria, Compromís and the Partido Regionalista de Cantabria.See full Spanish Election Results History since 2011 here:

CF: And now Ana we've the first authonomies results of our country. Let's remember that in our country, the vote in general elections is very different than the authonomical and cities elections. And this has an explanation! The Spanish people rates each goverment, not all in one, so, that could make that a Partido Popular voter, could vote Podemos in his city. Ana, could you reveal the first results?
AB: Of course Carlos. Let's start with Andalucía, our main Authonomous Comunity. The** Partido Socialista Obrero Español** wins with 32 seats, followed by the Partido Popular with 26 seats. Ciudadanos gets 21, Adelante Andalucía, the Podemos mark here in Andalucía gets 17 and the far-right party VOX gets 12 seats, what means that PSOE wouldn't be able to be on the goverment again if PP, C's and VOX signs an agreedment! This could be the end of 40 years of PSOE goverment.
