Presidential Candidates
Willam Barkle
- A former member of the Arlick State Congress for the Conservative Reform Party and an advocate for Leagio that has traditional as well as social stability. A strong National Conservative that wants to uphold his image of the National as well as cultural identity of the Commonwealth. He believes that the Commonwealth needs to limit immigration to ensure that the identity of the Commonwealth is not lost to the pages of the history books.
Sidney Sharp
- A member of the Green Party elected through the Revolutionary Front's Presidential Primary and classifies himself as an Eco-Socialist. Considered as the first Transgender presidential candidate in Leagioan History. Advocates for the degradition of the power of capitalism and the transition to a command economy for the Commonwealth.
Isreal Miralles
- Currently the Governor of the State of Jullien for the Civil Populists and defeated Governor-General Mark Gorge in the Primary Race for President. Considered as a Liberal-Conservative within the Civil Populist Party, who supports strengthening the civil liberties of the citzens of the Commonwealth, believes that the Common Government should have a laissez-faire stance to the economy while the Governoment should ensure law and order in the Commonwealth, and skeptical of grand schemes to remake the world.
Ran Mouri-Kudo
- Currently Chairman of the Progressive Alliance Party that rose through the ranks in elavating the Progressives to being a major party, especailly with the control that it holds in both houses of the National Congress. Starting out as a secretary to a Senator from Gopen, she gained a lot of knowledge about politics and became a progressive after reading about the impeachment as well as removal of Former Govenor-General Fabricio Fontanilla (who was removed for bribery). Eventually her interest in fighting corruption developed after she meet her husband Councilor Shinichi Mouri-Kudo (who is now Speaker of the House). She began to work for the leadership of the party to the point that she is now its presidential candidate for this election.
Sept Palvini
- Former Govenor of the State of Diamond Heart, where he lost his seat to the current Governor of said state George Wallace. Now the 2021 Presidential Candidate to Far-Right Political Party in Leagio called the Leagio United Together Front (LUTF). He is notorious for expressing racial and anti-setimisic view exspecially during his time as Governor of Diamond Heart.
Jordan Gauthier
- The Great-Grandson of the 11th President of the Commonwealth, Maxime Gauthier of the Civil Populist Party. Jordan Gauthier originally was a member of the Social Democratic Party in the previous National Congress session but left the Social Democrats after the death of Hugo Walthlet and joined the Leagioan Pact of Democracy as an Independent in the National Congress. He ran in the Leagioan Pact of Democracy's Presidential Primary as a way to signal the start of a new political era in the Commonwealth. Before running for the National Congress in 2016, he was a member of the Loors House of Representatives as a Social Democrat. However, he has been recently accused by former members of the Social Democratic Party of being an Oppurnutist and a true Machievian.

Decision 2021: Executive Elections
Good Evening, today is the first round of the Leagioan Executive Elections. In this election, the positions that are up for election is the President of the Commonwealth, Governor-General of the Commonwealth, and the Governors of all provinces of the Commonwealth. However for the moment, we will be putting focus to the Presidential race where we will see at two candidates win this race or one if there is a winner with over 50% of the popular vote. Many of the states and territories are still in the process of counting as well as processing their ballots. So the amount of time for some these provinces will vary as some have hundreds of thousands to count. But for right now, we have the first series of provinces that were able to complete their count and submit their votes.
In the new territory of Freedonia, Progressive Ran Mouri Kudo was able to take the lead with Revolutionary Front candidate Sidney Sharp right behind her in the territory.
Mouri-Kudo was able to carry another Province which is the Territory of Elsweyr with Free Liberalist Candidate Isreal Miralles in second place.
The third Province that has submitted its vote is the Territory of Beika, which is the home area of Speaker of the House (and husband to the Progressive candidate) Shinichi Mouri-Kudo. In this area, Leagioan Pact of Democracy Candidate Jordan Gauthier was able to get a hold that is small against Mouri-Kudo, who is a few thousand votes behind him in this small territory.
Right now with over 800,000 votes count so far in this race, Mouri-Kudo is in the lead strongly but it is way too soon to call this race for her (as she does not even have more than 40% of the vote at this point) as this only three of the nineteen provinces within the Commonwealth. This fact can especially be said as there is still a very strong chance that she will not get over 50% of the vote and she will have to go against some one in the second round but the question will be who as Sharp, Miralles, and Gauthier are at each others neck in the second place position; but that could change at some point. -
Decision 2021: Sule and Carolina In
The Territories of Sule and Carolina have just released their votes in the race for President. Let us see the results in each province by starting with Sule.
Looks like Mouri-Kudo is gaining more to her lead with Sharp and Miralles contesting each other for second place. If this keeps up then it will possibly close for whoever gets to the second place position for the first round of this race. Let's move to Carolina now.
Well, it seems that this is starting to look like a really good night for Mouri-Kudo so far as she dominated completely in Carolina with 54% of the vote. Miralles was completely destroyed in the Territory of Carolina with Palvini and Gauthier having the same issue here as they are in the single digit in terms of percentage of the vote. This is not looking good for most of the candidates here is so far besides Mouri-Kudo. Only Barkle is able to relax with Mouri-Kudo in terms of votes as he was able to get 27% of the vote in Carolina behind Mouri-Kudo. Now let us see the total vote so far.
Even though the number of votes that have been counted has change, the positions for all of the candidates have not at all with Sharp, Miralles, and Gauthier still fighting for at least second place in this race. Mouri-Kudo is still relax with a good lead in first place but it might be early to say that she is the winner of the race or mainly as the first place winner. However, the position of the candidates in this race can and will most likely change from time to time as we get to the states at some point especially with their higher population and more importantly voter numbers. -
Decision 2021: Loors and Fiowa In
The Results have just now come in from the Territory of Fiowa and the State of Loors, which makes the Loors the first state that has submitted its results. Let's see the results of the race so far with these provinces.
In both of these Provinces, Mouri-Kudo is again in the lead but the person in second place has shifted in the two provinces. In Fiowa, Miralles is in the second place title but in Loors that is different. Sharp is in the second place with a good lead to possible shift who is in second place so far.
In the total number of votes so far, Mouri-Kudo still has a strong lead against the other candidates. However, Miralles has lost his second-place position for the moment as Sharp leads him for a few hundred votes. Palvini hardly has enough votes just to see he has some at all. -
Decision 2021: Vernach, Niose, and Karptniz In
Good afternoon, it has been just announced that the Territories of Vernach, Niose, and Karptniz has released their results to the race for President. Let's see how the Candidates stand so far...
Again Mouri-Kudo takes another province with over 50% of the vote with Miralles behind her.
In Vernach though, Miralles takes it with 32% of the vote but with Mouri-Kudo trailing.
In Niose though, Mouri-Kudo takes the territory with 38% of the vote. Now let's see where the total vote is so far at this point.
Mouri-Kudo still leads but we still have millions of votes to go and that could change the nature of this race. In the second place, Miralles is there with almost 3/4 of a million votes on his tally but Sidney Sharp could catch up at this point. However, we will see on where this race will go. -
Decision 2021: Muale and Jullien In
This just in, the states of Muale and Jullien have released their results for the Presidential race. Let's go ahead and show them, where we will then combine them.
Right now, Mouri-Kudo is still in the lead with almost a million votes over Miralles. She has around currently 38% of the vote, but this could change as the results from the bigger as well as more populous states come in some time soon. -
Decision 2021: Wilson and Tullion In
We now have the results from the states of Wilson and Tullion, which still show Mouri-Kudo in first place.
Right now the results are showing that Mouri-Kudo has strong support from the Eastern Parts of the Commonwealth including the Capital State, but that could change as with only half of the votes that been cast being reported so far. It could be possible that a sudden shift for any one of these candidates could change things, especially for the second-place winner as Miralles does not have a strong lead to be Mouri-Kudo's challenger in the second round (at least if Mouri-Kudo hold steady on her lead). There is no doubt that this race for President of the Commonwealth has been deeply contested so far, except for Palvini who is just not visible with his name on the graph that is seen above. -
Decision 2021: Gopen, Arlick, and Condris In
We now have the results from some key states that might determine the place of this race right now. The states of Gopen, Arlick, and Condris are now done counting their ballots.
So far, Mouri-Kudo is still first place with 38% of the votes that are counted. She has almost a 2 million vote lead against Miralles, who is second place at the moment. However, his place could change as we only have to big states left that are deeply conservative and could swing toward Barkle more than him. -
Decision 2021: Diamond Heart and Huttson In/ Round 1 Results for President
Finally after much waiting the people of the Commonwealth can know who will be the two candidates competing against each other in the race for President of the Commonwealth of Leagio. This news comes as the states of Diamond Heart and Huttson have submitted their results for the race, which have confirmed Muori-Kudo as the first place winner in this round.
In this race, Mouri-Kudo has been declared as the first-place winner in the first round for President of the Commonwealth with 5 million of the 13 million votes that have been casted. In second place, Isreal Miralles is behind her by 16 points in the vote. The nation will be seeing these candidates competing in the second on March 5th with a debate being held in-between.

• Believes in investing in public transport, buses, trams and railways to enable people to travel more easily while reducing their impact on the environment.
• Believes in establishing a 15 Sulia per hour minimum wage in the Commonwealth.Climate:
• Believes that the Commonwealth should implement Juncker’s European Union Green New Deal to better ensure the stability and well-being of the planet.
• Believes that Climate Change should be consider a matter of national security that could threaten the stability and well-being of the Commonwealth.
• Believes that increasing the nation’s ability to produce greener energy will provide a safer environment for the Commonwealth.Race and Gender:
• Believes that a comprehensive program similar to the one proposed by Commissioner Juncker will be the way to ensure racial equality for all.
• Give Asylum Seekers the ability to have better jobs and work in any role tha will help them to be able to support themselves as they work to gain Commonwealth citizenship within 4 months.
• Believes in introducing legislation that will ensure that all genders will be treated equally and paid the same wages.Foreign Affairs & Military:
• Believes that the Commonwealth should repeal or not renew the Treaty of Tullion with the Kingdom of Reitzmag, but Instead join the Treaty of Tellum for better foreign relations as well as economic opportunities for the Commonwealth.
• Believes that the Commonwealth should look to developing strong relations with nations like Spain and the United Duchies for they provide more to the Commonwealth’s standing with the world.
• Believes that Armed Forces of the Commonwealth should place a focus only expanding the Army and Air Force, while the Navy should stay same size in force.

• Believes in establishing a government commission that will provide an acceptable minimum wage that is safe for the economy.Climate:
• Believes that Climate Change should be considered a matter that can be resolved with investment into the Ministry of the Environment, who will make it a top priority within the Commonwealth.Race and Gender:
• Believes that the Constitution already provide protection to all genders and races from discrimination.Foreign Affairs & Military:
• Believes that the Commonwealth should continue and renew the Treaty of Tullion with the Kingdom of Reitzmag as well as expand it to include a defensive pact

• Believes that a focus in develop a larger military with a larger budget is necessary to develop a safer Commonwealth.

Leagioan 2021 Presidential Debate at the Speaking Hall in the University of the Commonwealth in Tullion
Announcer: Good Evening, today is the Presidential Debate between the two front runner candidates from February 5th, Isreal Miralles of the Civil Populists and Ran Mouri-Kudo of the Progressives. These candidates are campaigning for the final round of the race for President on March 5th, where one of them will win. Each of these candidates will be asked a question that has been carefully drafted. The candidate being asked the question will answer and the challenger on the other end may retort or ask a question within the scope of the topic. Let’s start with the Progressive candidate. Mouri-Kudo, during the race for the National Congress, your party declared itself to be a Leagioan party of Juncker. But during the recent Commissioner race where EPA PC candidate Leeson engaged Le Berre for being a Socialist, you gave sort of a unspoken support for Le Berre by stating that he is more in-line of a Social Democrat. How do you claim to be a Leagioan Juncker, if you supported Le Berre?
Mouri-Kudo: My reasoning on that decision that I had made is that one thing that one must understand about Juncker is he does not waste time in attacking others in their beliefs. Attacking someone on basis of their political beliefs, simply because of who they are is unacceptable; And that is something that should not be partisan at all in this day and age. Everyone deserves the right to have their voice be heard, even if it is something that is not popular with others. It is acceptable to disagree with their opinions, but simply calling them insulting names through a mud fight is not acceptable in this society that we live in.
Miralles: Then what about Simon Bridges then? Throughout your campaign, you have constantly stated that Bridges is an unstable political leader of the Kingdom of Reitzmag that only wishes to see itself at the top of the world no matter the cost. Would that make you a hypocrite for what you say just now?
Mouri-Kudo: Those words that I have stated are the same words that many of your former colleagues that were in the Senate said when they voted against the ratification of the Treaty of Hampton, which would have placed the Commonwealth in a military alliance with Reitzmag with said nation have control of the Commonwealth’s armed forces regardless of how we feel about said war.
Announcer: Miralles, throughout your campaign, you have mentioned that Leagio should expand the guidelines of the Treaty of Tullion but never really explained as to how. Could you explain what you meant by that?
Miralles: Yes, the Treaty of Tullion was drafted to provide minor military benefits and major economic benefits to the Commonwealth; But it does not provide efficient protection to the Commonwealth and if I am elected, then I will work with Reitzmag to establish more stronger military connections between us and them; for we live in an era where the UNSR literally tried to sneak out our own nuclear material out of our mines right under our noses.
Mouri-Kudo: The issue with that idea is that Reitzmag has become a country that is unstable and has unrealistic beliefs about its needs as well as its society. The current government of Simon Bridges has become more unstable and fearful on whether or not we will have a global war happening because of it. Especially with how the Bridges Government in it has unjustly modified the Treaty of Buckingham just a few months ago. A relationship that involves Leagio having a military alliance with Reitzmag at the moment would bring the Commonwealth into a unfavorable position with the rest of the European Union at a time where we should be concerned about the nukes that the UNSR holds right now, where they could fire it at anyone; even theoretically Europolis but that is in theory.
Announcer: Mouri-Kudo, many people including Miralles have explained that the idea of you being president has a conflict of interest to it as your husband is Councilor Mouri-Kudo who is also Speaker of the House. Do you agree with that feeling? And if yes, how do you intend to solve it should you win the race on March 5th?
Mouri-Kudo: I do not believe that it is an issue at all because when my husband ran for the House in the 1st Northern District of Huttson, he made sure that his voters knew in the primary that I was running as a Presidential Candidate for the Progressive Alliance Party and if they felt that it was a conflict of interest then do not vote for him. Regardless of him saying that, his future constituents voted him for the party’s candidate for the district and he won that race overwhelmingly holding 54% of the vote. In addition, in recent polling, when asked on what voters felt most concerned about me winning was actually not my husband being Speaker of the House.
Miralles: Are we talking about the same polling companies that said Senator Kerstin was going to win the Leagioan Vote for Premier Commissioner last year?
Announcer: Miralles, in your platform, you are campaign that the Commonwealth should be orienting to developing the permission to build nuclear technology but most importantly nuclear weapons. Can you explain why you believe that?
Miralles: Yes, because we live in an age of fear over the possible aggression of forces that would wish to destroy the Commonwealth; These are the same forces that killed the thousands of people in the United Duchies. We need to have the ability to develop nuclear weapons to ensure that the Commonwealth has the chance to provide a stronger defense to its independence.
Mouri-Kudo: I think that what you mean, Miralles, is that Leagio should be in the big boys club and not be left-out in having its own arsenal; where you can decide to press the big red button in rage to anyone accuses you of being out of hand.
Announcer: Mouri-Kudo, your Leagioan Green New Deal which you state is based on Juncker European Union Green New Deal and you push that Leagio should maintain a strong push for Solar and Wind power for their provide better efficiency of power, especially in the winter. However, during his campaign, Miralles stated that it would not be possible for Leagio to build a self-sufficiency of power under the plan. How do you reply to that?
Mouri-Kudo: First my response is that impossible is what the Commonwealth stands for as many nations thought during our revolution for independence that we would not win by ourselves, but we showed them that we could. Leagio should strive to do the impossible, not because they are easy but because they are hard. The Commonwealth needs to place a strong focus on the environment for the next three years through the Executive Branch. Juncker had left a framework that the Commonwealth and Europe can build on, which is what my Leagioan Green New Deal is based with goals that will make Leagioan Carbon netural by no later than 2032 and being energy sufficient by continuing to build renewable sources of energy to meet the energy needs that the nation has. This is an issue that requires plans that are bold and strive for nothing but determination.

Decision 2021: Executive Elections - Round 2 with First Provinces
Good evening, today is a very important day for the Commonwealth as we will see the final round of the Executive Elections, where the positions of President and Governor-General will be decided through different types of elections in this round. For the President, the two candidates Ran Mouri-Kudo of the Progressive Alliance Party and Isreal Miralles of the Civil Populist Party fight with the total amount of votes that they receive at the end; where the Candidate with the most votes after all 19 provinces submits their votes. Many polls for the past two weeks say that Mouri-Kudo will be the winner of this race overall with a huge majority but we will see if that is true when all the votes are counted.
In the race for Governor-General, the two candidates the jewel theif Magic Kaito of Leagioan Pact of Democracy and Leon Pier of the Progressive Alliance Party must compet mainly for Electoral Votes. Each state and Territory within the boundaries of the Commonwealth are awarded a number of votes for Governor-General that equal to the amount of Senators and Councilors that they have in total within the National Congress (this excludes the abroad seats in both houses of the National Congress). The provinces must divide these votes to each candidate based on how many popular votes that each candidate has, so if candidate recieves 55% of the Popular Vote then the candidate gets 55% of the Provinces Electoral Votes in the largest remainder. There are a total of 621 Electoral Votes in this race, so in order to win a candidates must get over 50% of the votes which equals to at least 311.
It is past midnight with March 6th just starting, so we will see more provinces submit their votes every few hours at most. But right now, we got the first territories of the Commonwealth finished with their counting and have sent their votes to the overall tally. We have Fiowa, Sule, Vernach and Elsweyr.
After putting together the current results, here is what we have so far in this race:
Mouri-Kudo holds a very good start against Miralles with a 300,000 vote lead against him so far, but this something that will easily change once the big states and territories come into the tally. When focusing on the Governor-General race, Magic Kaito is holding a nice start against the progressive candidate in the race, which continues to show that Leagioans do not always vote in a straight party line.

Decision 2021: Executive Elections - More Provinces Submit Results
Good evening, this is just in, more provinces within the Commonwealth have submitted their voting results and now we can add them to together to see who is in the lead at the moment. The territories of Niose, Beika, and Freedonia have given Mouri-Kudo a huge lead in the Presidential race, while Karptniz went with Miralles. When focusing on the Governor-General race, the results are a mixture. Although, Magic Kaito was unable to carry his home of Beika but carried other territories.
At the moment, it is too soon to say that there is a clear winner in the two races that we are keeping track of at the moment. But that will change as more provinces submit their results. -
