2021 Elections to the Chamber of Deputies and Senate of the Haanean State

In accordance with the 2021 Constitution of the Haanean State, elections shall be held today.

There are eighty seats in the Chamber of Deputies. There are ten seats for each constituency:

1. Agricultural Workers - those who work in our urban farms and gardens.
2. Workers - general category for all workers who do not belong to any other category.
3. Trade Workers - those who work in the trades
4. Professionals - those who work in the professions.
5. Artisans and Artists - those who engage in artisan or artistic work.
6. Merchants - those who trade, engaging in commerce
7. The Civil Service - those who work to maintain the institutions of our State.
8. Social and Service Workers - those who work to maintain our society and its economy.

The following groups each have one representative in the Senate, alongside one from each from those in the Chamber of Deputies:

1. Sciences and Research - all those engaged in scientific or research-related endeavors.
2. Architecture and Urban Planning - all those engaged in activity related to architecture and urban planning
3. Law and Governance - all those involved in activities related to legal matters, or those of state.
4. Engineering and Technology - all those involved in activities related to the technology and engineering industries.
5. Health - those involved in activities related to medicine.
6. Intelligentsia - those who belong to the intelligentsia as defined by the Constitution and law.

The Senate thus has 14 members.

These elections will be held via proportional representation for the Chamber of Deputies, and first-past the post for the Senate. The following parties are contesting:

PARTY OF SOCIALIST UNITY: In support of present policies of the Haanean State and of Marchand. Successor to the United Liberals of Copala City.
PARTY OF AREAI: In support of the policies of Areai.
SOCIAL DEMOCRATIC PARTY: In support of modern social democracy.
LIBERAL DEMOCRATIC PARTY: In support of liberal democracy and classical liberalism.
CONSERVATIVE PARTY: In support of classical liberalism, social conservativism.

The voting assemblies have concluded. All votes have, as such, been counted. Glory to our political system which allows for such rapid elections.

Chamber of Deputies, Constituency 1: 4 seats for the Party of Socialist Unity, 2 for the Social Democratic Party, two for the League of Independents (list of self-nominated independents), 2 for the Party of Areai.
