Part 1 - The Start
Tánger, Protectorado Español del Rif - 9th March 2021
Mustafa Begum was in his palace, seated, awaiting for his lunch. He lived in one of the many palaces around el Rif, a wealthy territory if you were rich, and a poor territory if you were poor. The Government, a corrupt gang of politicians from Begum's favourite party, El Rif's Future, was managed by him from behing. No one suspected it, nobody even knew about this. Mustafa's discrection was key to avoid the Spanish President realising about his real affairs, about what he did. He wanted to backstab the Spanish Inquisitor, and that's how he got to know Abdul Majeed al-Rasheed, another rich man from el Rif with weapons and other kind of self-defence utilities.
Al-Rasheed arrived at Begum's Palace, located in the surroundings of Tánger. He was very well welcomed by the Mustafari Guard, how Begum's guard was called all around El Rif. These men were the most influential in the Spanish Protectorate, being able to convince anybody by just giving that person some money. Al-Rasheed entered the room where Begum was waiting for him, and both hugged eachother. Mustafa spoke: "Abdul Majeed, my dear friend! Please, take a seat in my table, the lunch will be coming soon. How was your trip from Casablanca? I hope it was fine, and you didn't have many problems crossing through the desert, you know there are lots of vandals over there". Abdul answered his dear friend: "Mustafa, it's nice to see you. But now, let's pray to Allah."
Both prayed, they aimed for the same, releasing their land from the Catholic and supremacist state, that occupied lands the Spanish Inquisitor, the so believed cool and nice Jesús Aguilar, was slaving. That was, of course, their view of the situation. Mustafa's service brought lunch, and with them out of the room, it was time to talk: "My dear friend, I think we should head towards a joint alliance. We both want the same, you have the weapons, we both are rich, live in palaces and we could convince our people, El Rif's people, to fight for our independence. It's time to backstab Aguilar, even kill him if possible! From Riftinat to Ifnit, going through Sahoc. We need to show the World what's really happening here."
Al-Rasheed nooded, but did doubt about Mustafa's willings: "Mustafa, that's risky. We don't even know if that people would like to join us, if they would like to be arrested, to die for our independence. There's no way sane people would do that. But, at the same time, there's something in my head talking to me. I can hear our prohet, Allah, see his beard, saying: 'Fight for your freedom, Abdul'. Once we get everything, expanding will be easy. We will just expand through the European Africa, until reaching Leagio and the Duxburian Union. Your idea is not far from my purpose, Mustafa." Begum answered back: "My friend, I need your help, I need you to compromise with me and fight for the freedom. I'll lead the political movement and the next country we will form when we success. You'll lead the army, you'll be the 2nd most powerful man of the new country we will create. Please, join me to fight for freedom"
Al-Rasheed, after hearing these words, accepted. Both men started to plan the structure of such a project, to dream about their freedom, about accomplishing the prophet's willing. Releasing El Rif was just a matter of time, and they were fighting for that, even if they needed to die, they would. But they had other people to do the dirty job. They just needed to wait...

PART 2 - The Plan
Mustafa Begum started to work on his plan to make El Rif go independent or, instead, running away and setting up a new country south of Spain with some nice relationships with them. He asked one of his helpers for a map of the Adventuranza Strait area, and also about El Rif. He wasn't very nervous, and he needed to think properly on what he wanted to do along with his dear friend, Abdul Majeed al-Rasheed. Begum entered a videocall and waited for Al-Rasheed to arrive, whom entered the cool 10 or 20 minutes later. "Good afternoon, dear Mustafa. Please, show me what you've got"; said Abdul Majeed.
Mustafa Begum started to speak: "My friend Abdul, I've got a wonderful and gorgeous ideas to become free from the Spanish Oppresor, and we will get them, no matter what they say. Our first choice would be setting up a terrorist armed group and uprising against the Spanish Army and the Government. We will kill any diplomat trying to have some nice chat with us, and when the perfect time arrives, boom. We will kill President Aguilar and there won't be any other way but becoming independent from the Kingdom of Spain and setting up the Islamic Republic of El Rif. But, if Spain predicts our moves and suspends our autonomy, we will need to run away."
Abdul Majeed laughed like a villain after hearing the plans Begum had made for him: "My dear friend, you are a genious. I have also done my homework, and started to think on how we should hide from Spain and the Secret Service in case the plan doesn't work out well... We should run away to the south of the Adventuranza Strait, an empty place of land and home to our antecessors. There, we will set the new country and Spain will just fall in a trap to let us be an Islamic Republic. We will this, Mustafa." Begum agreed and added: "I couldn't agree more with you, Abdul Majeed. It is time for El Rif to become free. The Islamic Kingdom or Republic of Huriyad is awaiting for us, along with Allah and the future."
Then, both had a cup of tea while talking about different affairs and the videocall ended. The plan had just kicked off, and there was no possibility of turning back.

PART 3 - The Reveal
It was a quiet day in the Protectorate of El Rif. While Mustafa Begum decided to keep working on the forseeable future, Abdul Al-Rasheed had to do the ugly work. That meant announcing, on the Local TV Prime Time, after hacking it, the creation of a terrorist group and the uprise against the Spanish Government in order to achieve independence. Hours before the speech, he decided to have a walk with her wife, Haya. Haya was beautiful, a woman everyone would love to marry in El Rif if Abdul ever died. "My piece of cake, tell me, why are we going to do this? I want you to be alive, I want you to be next to me every single night when we lay in our bed. I don't want you to have a weapon and shoot against the Spanish soldiers before they kill you!" Said Haya, who didn't speak so much about his husband's private affairs. She was really careful when she needed to comment about any thing her husband was doing, because any mistake could make her turn from rich to poor, from wished to refused, from alive to dead.
Al-Rasheed looked at her and removed his sunglasses. He looked so serious, like if he was going to shout to her spouse. Her assistants, who were looking at the couple from Haya's windows, retired from those and went back to their labours. Everyone at that palace knew how crazy Abdul could turn if anybody ever dared to challenge him. But this time, no shouts took place, nothing, everything was still calm and nearly silent. "My darling, my sweetheart, I know that what I am going to do in a few hours is risky and dangerous. I know we will lose everything we have got so far, because Spain will give nothing up so easy. But we need to rise with weapons and show the Spanish Oppressor what we really want, and that's freedom." Said Abdul, nearly conquering his wife's heart once again. Haya spoke: "My king, our princes will be finally released from the Spaniards, I can't wait to see you as the sovereign of El Rif, as the King of all the Saharauis. You will be always my king, and I'm ready to have more princes and bring them to this world." There was no time to lose, or that's what Abdul Al-Rasheed thought.
The time flew and it was the time. Abdul's hackers were working on diverting the signal to the palace, while Abdul was ready to read the speech. Everything was ready, nothing could fail. Just 5 minutes to declare war on Spain, to follow the Basque's example from the 90s and start the path towards freedom. Just 5 minutes to see the whole world of Jesús Aguilar crumble, to see how much King Felipe would get mad at them. 5 minutes to change the World, to challenge Europe and Spain's allies. 5 minutes to triumph.

PART 4
The 5 minutes went by slowly. Everybody was waiting, the TV broadcasters had been advised about an important event taking place at nine o'clock in the evening. All TV channels except the public ones, like Radio Televisión Española or El Rif Televisión. The bell from the Abdul's private mosque started to rang, that meant it was time to shine. Suddenly, all the TV signals from El Rif private local broadcasters went dark, and there he was. Abdul Al-Rasheed was live on the TV, being seen by mostly all of the citizens at El Rif. He was given a signal, the show could start. It was time to challenge the Spanish authorities, and he would do it publicly.
"Good evening, my beloved Riftians.
Today, I am in all the country's houses, in all your screens. And to show the strength of our nation, I have hacked those private local broadcasters that didn't want to give coverage to this very important message. Because you, my beloved citizens, need to know the truth about our nation, about our current status. And myself, along with my great friend Mustafa Begum, are going to tell you the truth that the Spanish Government doesn't want you to know, as well as what we are going to do next.
Today, on behalf of the people of El Rif, I declare our independence from the Kingdom of Spain and the creation of the Kingdom of Huriyah. We will be no longer part of what we call the Spanish Oppresor, the colonialist pig we have been members of for the last 40 years. In the last general election, we didn't vote for those establishment parties, like the PSOE or the Partido Popular, because we aren't slaves of the King or Jesús Aguilar. We aren't anyone's sclaves. El Rif, and our Government, have had enough. Today, a new future kicks off, a new future where Jesús Aguilar or anybody from Spain isn't welcome. We are Huriyans, we are Arabs and we are finally having that autonomy that we have been waiting for since 1976, since Franco, the silly dictator, died.. We are sick of non-accomplished promises, and now El Rif people will rise against the colonial power.
I now have a message for Jesús "Emperor" Aguilar. I know that you will try to kick us out, I know you will pressure us to leave our lands, our houses and move away to the South of Europe, where our brothers and sisters are. But we won't do that. I also want to announce the creation of a new terrorist band, and we are coming for you. No matter where you hide, no matter where you are, we will end with your and your family's lifes, one by one, cutting their heads and shooting them in our fields. You are no longer the owner of the willings of these citizens. Whoever you send here, will be killed. Do you want to risk your citizens lifes?
Finally, Riftians, I would like to inform you about the new state structure. Mustafa Begum will now be known as 'King Mustafa I of Huriyah, by the grace of Allah and for the freedom of our nation', while I have been elected by your majesty to be the Permanent Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Huriyah, by the grace of Allah and by the grace of our prophet, Mahoma. We are closer to reach Mahoma's beard, we are closer to rest with him on the paradise. Killing a Spaniard is the way to reaching heaven. As soon as possible, elections will be held to choose the rest of the cabinet. Good night and may Allah saves us all from the Spanish Oppresor."
The broadcasters went back to their normal schedule, and the citizens of El Rif took the streets to celebrate. Shots could be listened on every city, on every village, on every building. The purge had started, and nobody who supported Spain was safe in El Rif, nor even the Government personnel. The first reaction from the Palacio de la Moncloa didn't take long: Aguilar ordered 2 young diplomats deployed on El Rif to negotiate on behalf of Spain. The diplomats, called María and Antonio, headed to Begum's palace, where they were being awaited by the Huriyan self-established royal guard. Both were taken prisioners and to the room where Mustafa was.
He was smoking, enjoying how the people took the streets, established border controls and started to search for those rebels to the doctrine established. The plan was working, and nobody could deny the Spanish fear to an insurgence. When he saw the diplomats, he decided to let them speak, but he already knew what his guards would do. None of their reasons were convincing, and after Mustafa denied this revolution would stop, he ordered the royal guard to rape and kill both diplomats. 2 guards obbeyed the instructions, with another taking photos of such an atrocity. Meanwhile, Mustafa was having some fun with his 7 spouses. The photos were sent to Moncloa by email. What would Aguilar do?

PART 5 - Who called the Spanish Army?
The day after, El Rif was completely surrounded by the Guardia Civil and the Spanish Army, the people that signed up to the terrorist group didn't know how to use a gun and meanwhile, both Mustafa Begum and Abdul Al-Rasheed's servants were packaging everything. Mustafa called his friend Abdul that morning to express his concern about the huge mistake he might have done. When the President, Jesús Aguilar, announced on the morning that El Rif would see its autonomy suspended and that the army was going to be deployed to take back the control of the ongoing events over there, both took a decision: they had to leave Spain, they had to leave El Rif. Staying there was risking their lifes, their families and their freedom until they both died.
Al-Rasheed started to destroy all the proofs, without even knowing that the Spanish Centro Nacional de Inteligencia had already hacked his computer, tracked his phone and downloaded every single proof against Abdul. Shotguns started to be heard near the palace, and a Guard entered Abdul's private room in the wrong moment, just when his boss and his boss' wife were having fun. "GET OUT OF HERE, KILL ANY SPANIARD BUT DON'T KILL MY FUN!" Shouted Abdul. When they were finished, he exited his room and headed to the guard with a gun, shooting him to death. Another innocent person that died because of the collective hysteria. Mustafa called Abdul once again, to advise him to depart as soon as possible, they were coming for both of them and the Guards weren't strong enough.
Abdul was nervous, even though Mustafa seemed relaxed: Why is Mustafa so relaxed while I'm close to a heart attack? How can he be so ignorant? Why did I listen to him Allah, why did you betray me? thought Abdul while running from a place of his palace to another, doing nothing, not helping anyone, just searching a way to scape from his own hell. But his wife and his children had different plans for him. While Abdul was running nervously, they decided to run away with their personal objects, trying to reach the nearest Guardia Civil or Spanish Army control and being safe from her crazy husband. She ran and ran, the kids did the same too, it was like they had trained for that day. And she knew time went by against her and her children, because it wouldn't take long for Abdul to find out what really happened.
Haya, Abdul's wife, running away from El Rif to live her life saferAnd she was right; as soon as they had were halfway between the Palace and the closest border, Abdul realised about the absence of his wife. The guards were sent to search them, and kill them if it was needed. He knew that killing his own children would be enough to make Haya suffer and take her back without any resistance, if she didn't want the same destiny than her children. Meanwhile, Haya kept running and running through the desert, alone, hearing shotguns in the distance and seeing how dust risen to the sky as the Spanish Army went through the Riftian roads. That meant they were close, but suddenly, Abdul guards appeared and shot to death to Haya's children. She closed her eyes and kept running, she could hear her children screaming, he didn't know if it was pain or fear, she just kept running. In that moment, shotguns were heard in front of them. She dropped herself to the ground, to avoid being shot by the guards. Screamins again and then, silence. Was she dead or alive? Was she dreaming or was it all the real life?
Haya opened her eyes, and she could see 4 Spanish soldiers helping the kids and carrying her backpacks. She was aided by 2 to stand up and taken into a car to evacuate her. Abdul's soldiers were dead, and Haya and her family were alive thank to the Spanish Army. "Who called you?" Haya asked, crying. A soldier answered: "Madam, it's our duty to protect every single Spanish citizen, even if that involves risking our lives." Haya cried even more, her kids did too. They were all safe, and the Spanish Government was on her side: A soldier told her she was going to be protected and taken to another place, far away from El Rif, to start a new life with her children. Meanwhile, the Inimicans soldiers from the Imperial Guard 23rd Mechanized, along with the Spanish soldiers, started to advance towards the capital of El Rif, to stop the conflict.
Mustafa's helicopter crossing the sea towards the South of EuropeMustafa and Abdul managed to scape, safely, to the South of Europe. Their destination was unclear, but one thing was sure. Problems would continue if they did hide, so they would need to get Aguilar's signature into a Treaty to cease any hostility. Huriyah was still alive, and it would soon become real. The end, at least by now...
