2021 NS EU Community Awards --- Nominations Thread

Hey y'all! It's been a great year for our community, and I wanted to see if we could recognize some of the awesome roleplayers, writers, community members we got here! So with the approval of the mod team, I will try my whack at hosting this years 2021 NS EU Community Awards ! Below you will find the relevant awards for this year.
Everyone can submit nominations for all the awards, but can only submit 1 Nomination, and everyone will get 1 vote in the voting phase. My goal is for at least three nominations in any given award, preferably five for the more important awards. If an award does not get enough nominations I will personally work to get enough included, and with a good variety! Same goes for the final award distribution. Be sure to submit links for Roleplays, cite players for Roleplays and characters etc.
Nominations will last from now December 15th to December 22nd!
Voting will happen form December 30th!
Award Show will be Live January 2nd!

But a quick FAQ:
"Can I nominate and vote for myself?" - Yes you can I won't judge or stop you, but that isn't in the spirit of things is it?
"Who will see my votes? Like why do I need to give my name for the google forms?"- Me and one of the other mod team will see the votes to verify there is not any funny business like multiple voting.
"Can I submit an award?"- Yes, see below for details!
"What about ties?"- Two winners! Unless every award is turning into two winners in which case coin flips. I won't be voting, so my vote will be used as a coin flip.
"What do I get if I win?" - Eternal bragging rights, humbleness, and a fancy award png from various artists in the EU. Speaking of which, if you got an idea for an award image, send it my way!Quick PSA: if this starts becoming a negative thing in the community, I will not continue with it. This is meant to be a positive experience, so lets be happy everyone <3.

The Big Bois:
Community Member of the Year - Should be obvious, but the member of the region who are both in RP and in all other aspects just scream “NSEU”. They’re the mascot for the region. The year would have been way worse without them being a part of our community.
Roleplay of the Year - This is the Roleplay that just made everyone go, this was awesome, the most long lasting roleplay, with lasting impacts, great writing, and memorable storylines!
Writer of the Year - The writer who not necessarily wrote the most, but had the highest quality writing that made you go “wow this could have been a book” or a novella or something. ‘They good write’.
RP Character of the Year - The one character whose meme, the realest, all about that bass. They may not be a world leader, but they definitely lead their way into our hearts.
RP Nation of the Year - The most iconic nation in Roleplay this year, they just are the standard for what we want for our own nations, and for the people who look into joining this region.
New Roleplayer of the Year - Whose joined since January 1st that you think deserves recognition for all the cool things they’ve done!
Commissioner of the Year - Let’s recognize the commissioner who helped our region the most with new ideas, roleplayers, or repped our region in the best way possible. It’s not always easy to work in a democracy.

Most Entertaining Roleplay of the Year - This RP was funny or just captivating, it will be referenced probably for years for some meme.
Most Likely to Make You Confused Roleplay of the Year - The one storyline that left you with more questions than answers.
That One RP You Want to Forget of the Year - Sometimes there’s just that one roleplay you want to forget either because it's embarrassing or disgusting but really we should bring it up all over again.
The Militant Mandy of the Year - The person who was always ready to tango it out with their military….they probably didn’t always win.

Most Helpful Award - The person who is always willing to help newcomers or veterans alike, no matter the medium or topic.
Most Likely to Point Out that Spelling Error You Made 10 years Ago - Casually mention that one tweet or forum post you made ten years ago, don’t worry they’ll find it….usually pretty scarily quick.
You Get A Post, You Get A Post, Everyone Gets a Post Award - The most active contributor both in posts, threads, discord convos, repping the region across discord you name it!
XTreme Gamer of the Year - They always are on that grind, got to Level 69 of the Sims ya know?
They’re Here in our Hearts I’m Sure Award - Lurkers, or those members that just simply disappeared long ago with no explanation are eligible. The ones with the most impact but left us too early.
The Artist of the Year - Lots of our members are into drawing or graphical design, nominate those and their works that you think define the Art Nerds of the region!
Mod/Admin of the Year - It takes a lot to wrangle y’all, show some love to the mod or admin you think deserves this appreciation the most!
One Offs:
EU Hall of Fame - Let this be a historic character, RP, Nation or Member, what is the one thing you want enshrined to be hoisted to the top of the podium to represent the EU.

Hey y'all! It's been a great year for our community, and I wanted to see if we could recognize some of the awesome roleplayers, writers, community members we got here! So with the approval of the mod team, I will try my whack at hosting this years 2021 NS EU Community Awards ! Below you will find the relevant awards for this year.
The nominations have been submitted, so below you will find the nominees, as well as the link to vote! Slight timeline update to reflect my laziness. On December 26th, I will do a nominee presentation where I will go over all the nominees and why they were nominated...at least from my perspective! I am posting the voting now to give people extra time to vote during the holidays, and to give myself some extra time to get all the links and info needed for the presentation.
Grounds rules however:
- NO CAMPAIGNING - Please do not campaign for yourself or anything else, that said people please make sure to give everyone a fair shake at this
- NOMINATIONS- Please understand I had to limit nominations, and some were cut and others changed to be more reflective of our community make up.
Nominations will last from now December 15th to December 22nd!Voting will happen from December 24th to December 31st!

It's me your host once again! Here's a quick summarization of as to why I believe everyone who was nominated was nominated! These are unofficial explanations and just serve to help educate people who might not know all them details.
I'll update tomorrow with the rest of them, I'm tired but here is some of them.

The Big Bois:
Community Member of the Year - Should be obvious, but the member of the region who are both in RP and in all other aspects just scream “NSEU”. They’re the mascot for the region. The year would have been way worse without them being a part of our community.
- Czech Slavia - Czech is one the boiz . Constantly helping folks out, making some pretty iconic characters (Such as Premier Commissioner Sofie Čikarová and President (aka Queen) for Life Albína Reiserová) , and has been kicking butt at the commission.....all the while running some pretty entertaining RP. (((These was some statement here that was asked to be removed.)))
- Spain - The one....the only /Spain/. The man like some of the other nominees is a Roleplay Tank. Constantly pushing the region to the max, getting involved wherever he can (just see all the summits he starts with literally everyone.). The NSEU wouldn't be the way it is without him making sure the council is kept alive, the Commission elections pushed to the max, and EuroVoice (even though he totally stole the director position) is as good as it ever gets.
- Inquista - Inquista is Inquista. There's no way for me to do him justice......he's the Regina George of the EU. If you don't know why he was nominated I can't help.
- Reitzmag - Reitzmag is like the Embodiment of RP EU as a person, constantly picking fights with wars in RP, and defending their honor about trains. They also you know make some pretty cool graphic art, served valiantly in the commission
- Istkalen - Istkalen is the most wholesome member in the EU...but also the most gruesome. They bring entertainment to the region, and push the limits of what it means to be a part of....I don't think many people declare war on the entire region lol.

- Asianization of Reitzmag - Lol does anyone actually understand what happened here, I just know somehow the PM of New Zealand is now in charge of a nation that apparently was always....you know....Korean.
- Drommud Kaas War - We lost track 10 years ago, and now there is freaking pirates lol.
- Catch-All Nomination for the Nation of Strathae _ I....I just don't know how to explain or justify the way Brum makes nations..
That One RP You Want to Forget of the Year - Sometimes there’s just that one roleplay you want to forget either because it's embarrassing or disgusting but really we should bring it up all over again.
- Copala City From the Perspective of Reitzmag - I personally count this as starting with the Reitzmic Civil War, then the Bombing of New Moreland by Inquista, then for whatever reason Reitzmag signed it over to a foreign power who didn't care about the slowly self-governing body and eventually I'm sure Reitzmag rather pretend it just never happened.
- Occupied Istkalen From the Perspective of Vayinaod and Istkalen - Honestly I was in it, and I didn't know what exactly happened lol so I kinda want to pretend it wasn't a thing...I'm sure Istkalen regrets it to sometimes.
- The Wedding of Carlos and Prince Tommy- For an RP striving to be the next Ibiza or the next Nicolezian coronation it fell flat, I'm sure the ministry of EV will take it out back to get shot.
The Militant Mandy of the Year - The person who was always ready to tango it out with their military….they probably didn’t always win.
- Reitzmag - Come on....you know why.
- Istkalen - Declared war on the entire region as the result of a party where people got high as f***. Plus I think economic war counts? They nearly cancelled the region's Rare Earth mineral trade.
- Inimicus - Constant military maneuvers to always end up on top, Crimea'd North Diessen and no one said a word, got involved in Neo-Venetia, they just you know how real handsy across the region.
- Angleter - I think they got nominated for Dromund Kaas and Neo-Venetia.

- Mennrimiak - Unironically Mennrimiak is the perfect person to be Foreign Affairs because he knows a good tempo to introduce people, always gives answers whenever newbies ask questions, and he isn't a drama llama.
- Fremet - He's just a nice guy Heart .

- Istkalen -Jesus has you SEEN some of the size of their posts, they make Inquista and the DU quake in their boots.
- Reitzmag -They're always up to something.....and it gives me a headache.

- Acwellan Devoy - The iconic Duxburian Cllr. and Council Speaker...he smoked weed every day on the floor of the council. Really just a
- Eric Pickles and his assassination and resurrection back to life. - Eric Pickles is one of the most prolific cllrs and commissioners in our history, and the player who RPed him was just as dedicated to the region. Eric Pickles brought the 20 amendments to the Cannabis Act, unheard of at that point in EU history, and then he died....and got brought back to life because he was so awesome...I think he dated a pornstar too?
- The UNSR/Nicolezian Ministry of EV - Lol the OG Ministry of EV roleplay was amazing and showed the cutthroat Nicolezian politics....RIP Doc Mustard....and the UNSR has redefined a lot of regional politics and brought a renewed Icholasen that many would argue was/is a lot better.
- Emperor Artabanos - Okay.....Artie has been iconic since his rise to the top in Inimician politics...like I don't really remember the Inimician emperors before him besides the fact one allegedly died from Soap on some stairs, Artie is a Persona and has been a staple in the EU whenever he is around. A complex character with wants, desires, and overall is the literal gold standard for what we seek to do with our characters.
Most Imagine Player/Nation - Submitted by Spain - The title is pretty self-explanatory and doesn't need some snarky explanation from me!
- Ruthund - Just read their factbook, thats all you need to do...seriously dedication the definition.
- Inimicus- They've developed a system of political intrigue and has our total captivation on par with the Roman Empire, and its literally just as shakespearan they deserve massive props for that.
- Istkalen - Istkalen no matter the variation has always been.....creative...with their work and at the very least entertaining. The way they describe the way that Istkalen works is the stuff an anthropology professor dreams of would be discussed in my opinion.
- Brum Brum - Okay who dedicates the time he does to all the statistics in their nations, justifies all those stats, and uses them to drive so much RP? Brum....plus who else makes a nation who has an entire national RP about killing cats?
- Duxburian Union - The DU has had a consistently intriguing and layered worldbuilding for the DU since its inception, everything stacks ontop itself in a fashion that creates chapters of history, and genres of fiction intertwined. An example for everyone to look too.
