Vodka with a Side of Sashimi

Junichi Watanabe was sitting and waiting patiently or his guest to arrive guest to arrive was none other than Prime Minister Sauli Niniistö of the Kingdom of Mennrimiak. He was in classic business attire. He was sitting at an open atrium with cherry blossom and maple leaves calmly. The General Secretary had his counterpart escorted to the location. The Location of which was Haikage Garden. Which was at the back of the Executive Blue Manor which included lots of orderly yet natural tree formations highlighting Yosai's culture and fondness of order while still protecting nature.
He had a table set it was a marble table with coasters and two finely cut stone mugs with their names in them carved inn Japanese. He had the usual binders on plans for investment, trade and a possible visa ease of access agreement. He had an attendant wearing a traditional Yukata with the Secretary of State Yuichi Matsuda also in classic business attire.
He asked Junichi “So when do we know if he will be here.”
Junichi replied “Well I am under the Impression it will be in a few minutes. I had most of his belonging's speed through customs and driven by the secret service I would give it a good 30 minutes.”
Yuichi replied “Ah right ok. Well in anycase lets go over the agenda before he arrives.”
The two went over the agenda until they received notification of Prime Minister Sauli Niniistö's arrival.

It had taken some time and a whole Transatlantic flight from the northernmost country of the EU to one of the southern most of it, The plane of the Mennrimian Prime minister had just arrived and there were already many people waiting for him, He unboarded the plane and greeted every one he met, he then took the motorcade waiting for him and 30 later he was at the place of the meeting.
"Hello Mr Watanabe, how are you?
"Well dont tell me, it surely is bored, i made you wait for so much time, i apologize, do you think we should start with all of our disscussion?" -
General Secretary Watanabe merely smiled and chuckled "No its alright Prime Minister Niniistö. Welcome to Haikage Garden. I like to come here at times, this is rather nice serene and peaceful when I want to contemplate and reflect." He said while pouring Prime Minister Sauli Niniistö green tea in a traditional Yosainese green glazed clay tea cup.
"I wish to talk you about Mennrimiak and Yosai establishing trade relations and a possible ease of access visa program between our citizens. Mostly that's standard policy when engaging relations with nations for the first time. and then work from there if you wish to add anything further. We don't want to force relations or agreements on nations if there isn't mutual benefit, but start with dipping our toes in the water."

"I agree with what you are proposing Mr Watanabe" (said Sauli while drinking the tea) Mhm, this tea is so delicious and refreshing!,uhm anyways, Mennrimiak is willing to accept any deal that would benefit each other, we think Yosai has a great potential and has shown its worth succesfully defending themselves from non other than the Spanish diplomatic beast!

So, i would like to propose a general easement of visas and paperwork for our citizens to travel between our countries and the establisment of a exchange scholarship program for the most inteligent students of our nations to have a paid travel to see what knowledge the other has to offer.
I will set the bar there, you can ask for anything else before we move to another request too. -
"Well an exchange program is a good idea we can pitch it to our universities and have them apply for the program, we would also like an FTA which is basically just a lift of tariff and possibly non tariff barriers, is there any particular sector that you wish to access from Yosai? Some natural resource? Tech imports from us? Perhaps automobiles or some heavy industry? Let us know we are very accommodating."

Well, its very good that you were welcoming of my proposals, we would also want some of the Rare Earth Metals your nation produces but i heard you were alling with other REM Producer nations so if it is off the table we are fine with it, Either way, i would also like to hear what your country wants from us, we have Oil, Natural Gas, Fish and Wood, or maybe you are behind finished products like our famous vodka!, Whatever it is, just ask for it Mr Watanabe.

General Secretary Watanabe replied "Well we have oil and natural gas, tell me are those industries privatised or state owned? Also, Vodka would be great. REM is a complicated affair I'm afraid as we have continued discussions with the rest of the rare earth producing countries about certain agreements. However when we get some finer export agreements regarding REM we will revisit that issue. I think though what we have is basically a general ease of tariff and non tariff barriers on goods of all our sectors is rather good for now. Would you agree?"

We have both State owned private ones Oil and gas companies, The state owned Company of Pö or Pohjanlahden öljy formally and Articoil From the private sector, and they are willing cooperate in a fruitful trade agreement, Vodka is one of our greatest prides so be sure you will get the best quality, And yeah, dont worry about the REM i knew i would not be able to negotiate about it but it was nice to at least touch the subject.
Yes Mr Watanabe, we are on the same page, do you like to add anything else to our agreement or we should sign it and avoid any unnessesary conversation?

Junichi Watanabe smiled "It is as you say Prime Minister Niniistö , let us sign and make it official." The two leaders sat down and sighed the treaty and made thier relations official. A historic day fro both nations and ate and drank together when official state business was over.
