My dear friends across Europe,
I am excited to announce my candidacy for Commissioner of Foreign Affairs of the European Union. I am especially excited to announce my candidacy as part of the Progressive Team, partnering with my main man Jean-Claude Juncker of Spain and the illustrious Senator Kevin Cotilla of Leagio. Our Progressive Team stands ready to serve the European people as a cohesive and dynamic unit that will advance and champion the interests of all Europeans.
My decision to run for the European Commission has not been easy. I know there are many Inquistans and colleagues in my government who are relying on me in my current roles and capacities within the Inquistan Orthodox Church. However, there are certain higher callings and sacrifices that must be made, and I will always be willing to to answer the call to serve the European people. I had the profound privilege of serving as your Commissioner of Foreign Affairs from May 2020 to February 2021, in which I served alongside Jean-Claude Juncker, who I am once again elated to work with, and be part of his united team, as he aims for European premiership.
I invite every European to join me in a positive campaign for a progressive European Commission, and for a better European Union. I am confident that our best days are still ahead of us, but it will take the best effort of every member state to help take us there. I stand ready to help the European member states and the European people in doing so, on the basis of 'Representing the European Community'. I firmly believe that our Union is so strong precisely because of the diversity of our states and our people, each with their unique strengths, quirks, characters, cultures, and values. I truly love and appreciate every member state and its people, who individually make their own unique contributions to our Union, and who make up for where others lack with their own strengths. United in diversity, our diverse member states give colour to our European rainbow of nations, and our unity and collaboration give us strength. There is no greater honour than to represent our Union's member states and its people on the world stage, and it is one that I am dedicated to wholeheartedly.
I am glad that I will be seeing so many of you again soon on the campaign trail. I have missed you!
