YEGHOYAN ANNOUNCES HIS INTENTIONS TO SET OUT ON A "DIPLOMATIC TOUR"10 April, 2020
by Rıza YılmazCONSTANTINOPLE-- Grand Vizier Kazavon Yeghoyan announced Friday morning of his intentions to travel to other European countries at his weekly press conference.
"My intention is to meet with various foreign leaders in the near future. Some will be invited as guests to Constantinople while it is my hope that I am able to visit leaders from their native country. " said Yeghoyan on Friday.
Yeghoyan and his political bloc ran on a platform in the 2019 Imperial Elections of finishing the process of entry into the European Union along with stronger trading relations with the EU.
When asked which leaders that the Grand Vizier was intending on meeting, he confirmed that he formed plans to meet with the President of Spain and the Prime Minister of Fremet. "Madrid and Trøndheim will be formally notified on Monday that His Imperial Majesty's government wish to form special trade relations with their respective countries."
No further details were given when asked about future plans stating that more extensive plans will be revealed "within the next few weeks".

SPANISH DELEGATION TO MEET YEGHOYAN
14 April, 2020
by Theodora StefanidisMADRID-- The Spanish Government announced on Tuesday that the Ottoman invitation to Constantinople for a diplomatic summit shall be accepted. It will be followed by a Spanish delegation consisting of President Jesús Aguilar, King Felipe VI, and Spanish Foreign Minister Alfonso Dastis.
Since the Ottoman State joined the EU, Ottoman-Spanish relations have been relatively cordial having established formal diplomatic relations only two weeks following Ottoman entry into the Union.
The Monitor interviewed political analysts to explain to context surrounding the summit.
"I beleive this is Yeghoyan's first move in making peace with Europe." said Cenk Karga, International Relations advisor for the Ottoman Reformist Society. "We can see for a long time, the Ottoman State had a tense relation with the European powers, not only in history, but recently. We have to remember that the Treaty of Adrianople is still fresh in the political environment... what Yeghoyan is doing could be considered radical only 5 years ago."
Other political advisers did not share so much optimism however.
"Yeghoyan is doing this for one simple reason: money." proclaimed Danyal Peynirci, Political Consultant for the Radical Front. "The Ottoman Imperial agenda is quite simple really: accumulate power and then strike. Charity isn't part of the equation, though he would like you think that."
Others were surprised that the Spanish monarch would be attending the meeting, particularly those in the Imperial government.
"It certainly caught us off guard-- in a good way of course." said Deputy Foreign Minister Tiryaki. "It will be interesting to see what the Spanish King will have to say to the Vizier and his delegation. Either way, we look forward seeing the King and we will make sure he feels welcome in Constantinople."
The summit is scheduled for Wednesday the 15th of April. The Monitor will be covering the developments of the summit.

Tsipras, Vali of Hellas, at an anti-EPA rally

POPULARITY FOR TRYMPOV SURGES AMONG GREEKSKORINTHA-- As the EU Commission elections approach, the divisions between Christians and Muslims are beginning to reappear. At a rally in Korintha on Thursday, pro-Trympov surrogates could be heard chanting, "No more Commies!".
The rural, Greek population, highly nationalist, had long desired independence from the mainland Ottomans. Trympov coming on the European stage, some believe, might very well energize not only an anti-Globalist attitude in the Greek provinces, but also an anti-Ottoman movement as well.
"Trympov is the only real choice Europe has" says Milo, a Trympov supporter at Thursday's rally.
Dragan Trympov is a Pravoslavian businessman and entertainer that is running for Premier and Internal Commissioner of the European Union. He is an outspoken critic of many high profile EPA figures and is famously controversial for his crude rhetorical style.
Similar support of the Pravoslavian businessman can also be seen in the Erzurum Vilayet where many Gregorians announced plans to create pro-Trympov demonstrations.
