A Social Call at the Mutin River

(Elmena Estate on up in the west side on the Mutin River on the north west side of the State of Arlick)Ran Mouri-Kudo sat on a chair in her office facing the Mutin River as ships of different sizes and types sailed passed as she had a Presidential portrait of her being painted for the Executive Mansion. She decided to move to the Elmena Estate for the month as it is a recreational retreat for the President, the Prime Minister, and the Cabinet. As she starred out to the river, she knew that soon the President of Spain Alberto Núñez Feijóo would become part of a visit to commemorate Leagio entrance into the Treaty of Telum, where it will be a year since Leagio officially joined the Treaty of Telum alliance. Since she was going to be hosted a foreign leader, normally she would meet with them at Tullion in the Executive Mansion. However, President Mouri-Kudo decided to change things up a bit by hosting the meeting at the Elmena Presidential Retreat, as the National Congress at the moment was out of session a bit for the summer until end of the month of July.
She thought about the coming election in December, the socialist/Left-wing United People's Front, lead by James Moriarty, have yet to announce a Presidential candidate for this season. She suspected that the announcement would coming next week and then when September comes is when the official race begins where she would be running to get a second term and work with Robertson to help her alliance get a majority in the House of Councilors at least, but it will be a difficult challenge for her to accomplish especially as the United People's Front are campaigning hard to get that majority. This is difficulty considering that James Moriarty, himself as President of said alliance of left-wing parties, is running for Prime Minister. So she knew that continoing diplomatic trade and negotiations will help her out in gaining some of the conservative voters in the Commonwealth that were disillusioned with the far-right shift of the Conservative Reformist Party in going into an alliance with Alternative for Leagio, or as it was previously called the National Patriot Party.She invited President Feijóo to Elmena to hold discussions on having Leagio get support on developing drone technology or aquiring technology for the country to develop its own. In addition, she wanted to discuss with the Spainish President in work on the develop of a joint Spanish-Leagioan College system run by the two countries that combines the best of the education systems between said countries. She watched with a glance of her eyes as the painter continued with his work, while she thought about the idea of her husband and son with her in a family portrait done by the same artist for them to remember. However, Shinichi and Conan are at Dilaton, Condris visiting her mother.
She then was informed by one of her secretaries that Feijóo had landed at the Port Hilson International Airport and was on his way here from Port Hilson, where he should be here soon. She thanked them as she told the artist that they might have to pause their work for the day and continue tomorrow possibly due to the visit of the Spanish President.

Presidential Plane
Somewhere over Leagio«Leagio is one of our allies and partners, so this visit is quite important, Mr. President». Those were the words of Esteban González Pons, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation. The Commonwealth was indeed one of the allies of Spain, and the first international trip of the newly-elected President of the Kingdom of Spain, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, was not a coincidence either. His cabinet was concerned about the lack of an international recognition, and some voices had already arisen within the party. The younger generation wanted to take over, just like their admired President Aguilar had when Rajoy chose not to run for the Presidential seat in 2016; and Feijóo hoped to resist until, at least, the next General Election in 2026.
If there was something that had not changed during the period of political instability that Spain went through, that was the Government's stance on the Treaty of Telum. The Kingdom pretty much supported its allies, and the Treaty was stong, just like the EMU. Both things were shared between Spain and Leagio, which made the relationship way better than with many other countries. The plane started its descent into Port Hilson International Airport, and sooner than expected for the President, Feijóo had arrived to Leagio. A motorcade was waiting for Alberto, who got into the car and made his way to Elmena Estate, the unusual place to hold summits. He was soon amazed by the beautiful landscape and the fantastic architecture of the house, which he loved.
The motorcade came to a stop, and after the door was opened, President Feijóo came out of the car and approached President Mouri-Kudo, with whom he shook hands with: «Ms. Mouri-Kudo, it is an honour to finally meet you in person. I have heard a lot of nice things about you from my predecessors, and I have been looking forward to be able to have a summit with you since the beginning of my Presidency», he smiled.

Mouri-Kudo smiled in response as she shook hands with President Feijóo.
"It is an honor to finally have the chance to meet you as well, President Feijóo and I have been looking forward to this summit as well. Please do forgive me for having this summit here in Elmena Estate in Arlick, normally it would be held in my nation's capital of Tullion. But I felt that the need for a change of scenery in this time of the year. Is there anything that I can get you? Like some tea for example?"
