Copala City Town Halls starts recycling plan and reveals Mt. Rushmore project
The new rubbish bins, inaugurated by Copala City's Mayor, Amal MaxwellsRecycling has finally arrived to the city where dreams come true. The Mayor, Amal Maxwells and its corporation, along with the Minister for Environment and Urbanism, Kelis, have inaugurated the new rubbish bins, located in Whiteford Gardens and already being installed around the city. The town hall chose the underground option, which prevents people from burning rubbish bins and bags in case riots happen, apart from smell and many other rubbish-related problems. The Mayor, Amal Maxwells, have said Copala City gives huge steps towards "a greener future with a Copalan Green Deal", which she will be proposing to the Government along with his friend and Minister for the Environment and Urbanism, Kelis.
Ms. Kelis has been asked about the rubbish bins as for the faces on them: "The faces are there to help elder people identify what bin their rubbish goes in. So, Bernie Sanders will be identified with plastic, Mark Johnson with paper, Nigel Farage with glass and Simon Bridges for organic and other kinds of rubbish." She has also revealed a new project for the city, which will take 3 months to do: "We will be investing a million emus on the Mt. Rushmore project. As it is now, Mt. Rushmore isn't visited by anyone and it's not a very valuable natural reserve. We will change the mountain by sculpting the faces of Jean-Claude Juncker, Mr. Coventry, who may rest in peace, Harriet Copala, Eilidh Whiteford and Dragan Trympov, along with the platation of trees and flowers. They will be, of course, invated to the inauguration event which is expected to take part in June."

Ministry for Home Affairs orders border check-ups with Reitzmag to avoid the 'Copalan Collapse'
The Copalan Police, doing border check-ups in one of the road which connects the city with ReitzmagThe Copalan Ministry for Home Affairs, led by Ms. Victoria Romanov has ordered to establish border check-ups with Reitzmag in order to save the Copalan economy from collapsing. In a joint press conference with the Minister for Finances and Economy, Angelo Gasparda and the Minister for Reitzmic - Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Houston Strachan, they have explained the reasons and the purpose of these border check-ups: "The Copalan economy, despite some very good reactions we have been observing since the creation of the city and the foreign investment, it's still fragile. The huge packs of sanctions passed on Reitzmag by our European colleagues are detrimental for our economy, but in spite of damage, we think those sanctions are reasonable as the Caspain needs to come closer and Copala City's Government thinks the islands should be destructed, so said my friend Ms. Romanov on the summit hosted by former Internal Affairs Commissioner Jean-Claude Juncker."
Then the Minister for Home Affairs, Victoria Romanov, took the floor and spoke: "Some might think this is because we hate Reitzmag or we want to take independence right now, that's not the objective of these measures I have taken today along with the Copalan Government. We need to save our city, to tell foreign investors Copala City is a safe place to invest and we should take the opportunities given by foreign European countries to save our economy. There will be border check-ups with Reitzmag just applying to trucks. Trucks going to other countries from Copala City in which their entrance is not allowed won't be left into the city. If they managed to lie to the police, another check-up will take part at the port, this time avoiding and stopping the truck from getting into the boat or its freight being charged. When it comes to people, they will be let into the city but not allowed to take a flight to any of the countries enforcing a travel ban to Reitzmag."
Finally, the Minister for Reitzmic - Foreign Affairs and Cooperation has spoken: "We would like to thank the United Duchies for its help, as well as thanking those countries still letting us trade and travel to them despite being forced by Reitzmag to stay under their umbrella. Of course, many people in Copala City wish for a different future, I can include myself in that opinion, but now we need to save our economy before releasing ourselves from our neighbour. We will sort this out together, and we will get independence together. Thank you very much."

CCN EXCLUSIVE NEWS - BRIDGES SETS UP A CIRCUS IN THE CASPIAN SUMMIT
The words Bridges would have said in the summit"Congratulations though for successfully bringing more chaos to your home country." or "I hope someday, violence would end in your country if your aggressive behaviour would be gone." That were many of the words Simon Bridges, accompanied by his delegation which then laugh at their boss words, said in front of the leaders from Pravoslaviya, United Duchies, North Diessen, Minister for Home Affairs, Victoria Romanov and the Internal Affairs Commissioner. Words with an unknown effect on the room, as Copala City News has been unable to get more details from this summit as of now. But, if something is certain, that's the evidence of this summit being one of the most tense ever seen in the European Union and the 1st one that would have been out of place since it kicked off.
The notes, made by Victoria Romanov, unveil some more news nobody knew: The Reitzmic Parliament is voting whether or not to pull out from the Treaty of Buckingham. According to Bridges, the Copalan Government would have "abused their generosity", which triggered anger from their Parlamentarians. After these announcements, there are many paceful demonstrations being programmed all around the city, with the motto: "For our freedom, for Copala". With no doubt, this Copalan nationalism is on the rise since the suspension of the autonomy, accordingly unjustified by the Reitzmic Government, or with really bad explanations. George Maxwells and his wife, the Mayor of Copala City, haven't waited for too long to react: "The Copalans have never surrendered despite the difficulties we have had, nor we will surrender. Let's demonstrate pacefully"; said Maxwells on an act he had today in the Capitol district. On the other hand, Amal Maxwells has posted a tweet.
But Bridges didn't stop there. He blamed the Internal Affairs Commissioner of bringing more chaos to her home country and oppressing the people of Northern Alkharya -even if she has nothing to do with that-; he said John Peter-Key and Metodi Pravoslav remind him of the recent sanctions they both started and asked, sarcasticly, if that was a great way to make friends; and at the same time he was smirking to Inge Peckan, the Diessan President, he said she was the woman whom refused diplomacy from Reitzmag and stated "I hope someday, violence would end in your country if your aggressive behaviour would be gone." The Romanov's notes say Bridges' words are out of place, something which could be thought by many on that room.

The Leave a Light On Movement: What is it and what does it pretend?
Demonstration related with the Leave a Light On for Copala City movementCopala City aims for independence from Reitzmag and being else a part of a subject to be created Nicoleizian Commonwealth or else, being completely independent from Icholasen and Reitzmag, but these things aren't news for anybody who has been following the Copalan pro-independence movement, but for those who are starting to hear about it, all of these things are new for them. This is the reason why we want to explain you, fellow reader, all the things related with the Copalan "Leave a Light On for Copala City" movement and its origins. First of all, the Copalan Independence Union (CIU -governing party in Copala City in a 4 parties-wide coalition-) was the first one to bring the matter onto the table, and their victory in both Mayoral and General election were the key to take their pro-independence ideas and policies to the Government.
Since they started their adventure in the Government, the Copalan Independence Union and several parties with varied ideologies, the independence movement supporters have rised. According to the last poll, which was released on January 24th, a 55% of the Copalan Population support being independent, with a 19% having no opinion and a 26% opposing to it. From that 55%, a 84% would like to be under a "Nicoleizian Commonwealth" and a 12% would rather be fully independent. This has made people take the streets and demontrate against what they call the "Reitzmic Oppression", a name that has been more heard as the Kingdom of Reitzmag tried to suspend the Autonomy of the city, something they say they have "managed to do" but the Copalan Government deny. Also, the Bomballey incident, solved by the Copalan Government, has made the Reitzmic Government look worse to the eyes of the Copalans, what means support for independence might have increased.
In the aftermath of a new package of sanctions coming when April 1st arrives, Copala City struggles to carry on without any economical aid. The economy, still to develop as the Government needs investors; is not wealthy, and the current Reitzmic Government actions scare and make investors run away. The "Leave a Light On Movement" is a response to that: they are trying to achieve independence with foreign aid, with a lot of economical investors coming to rescue Copala City once they have their wished freedom. And they might have got some eyes on the project: According to the latest news, enterprises from the United Duchies and Spain, along with other countries, might be up to rescue Copala City from backruptcy. Some even try to reach out Harriett Copala, asking her on Instagram to come and rescue the city from the Reitzmic dungeon. And also, at the same time, the LLOM tries to get Europe's eyes on them, expressing their love for the EU and trying to become the first independent country to join the European Union after having independence from another.
Is the project possible? Our economical advisor says it's a risky way to achieve your purposes, but it could be possible if millions and millions were invested until the Copalan Economy gave some signs to be alive. "The benefits could be higher than the losts when Copala City gets independence"; says our Economical Advisor. Others say this is not right, and deny everything our economical advisos says. Whatever it is, there will be no independence if Maxwells doesn't dare to start the process, and to actually do that, he will need to travel to some of the most powerful countries in Europe in the search of support. Will he be able to get it? The time will answer that question.

PEOPLE CHANT THE COPALAN ANTHEM ALL TOGETHER IN THE STREETS; LITTLE ESPAÑA SINGS PATRIOTIC SONG FROM A TV SERIES
Copalans have flod the streets to chant their national anthemThe Copalans have taken the city streets to sing their national anthem, as they have been recognised as an independent nation within a Nicoleizian Commonwealth by the Kingdom of Spain. This is live from Piazza Copalana, full of people as you can see:
"Copala é nossa, Copala é nossa, Copala é nossa, Copala é nossa, Copala é nossa, Copala é nossa, Copala é nossa, Copala é nossa, Copala é nossa, Copala é nossa, Copala é nossa;
Oh heroical Copalan people,
In a stoic effort once again,
You must fight, conquer and smash the vile betrayal to triumph,
valour is what gives you reason.
"Copala é nossa, we will shout!
It's the flesh and blood of our nation.
Without hesitating, to defend,
and fight until you win!
"Copala é nossa, we will shout!
It's the flesh and blood of our nation.
Without hesitating, to defend,
and fight until you win!
The invader we'll punish him with ancestral fearlessness,
by detaining, kicking out,
winning, shattering and shouting:
Copala é nossa, Copala é nossa,
it's ours, it's ours!
Copala is Icholasen!Massive clapping after the anthem and now we connect with Little España where the people there are going to sing something else in Spanish too:
Translation:
We'll listen the name again,
of our homeland in all its splendour,
as the history which has carved us out,
provides us today a path next to the sun.Now the sky divides in 2 as we go through,
with more glory, justice and determination,
Those past's shines will come back,
those who our ensign never betrayed. We will march united as a nation,
all together building this state,
and in the unfavourable things that this travel bring us,
two stripes of our blood will escort the sunWe'll listen the name again,
of our homeland in all its splendour,
as the history which has carved us out,
provides us today a path next to the sun.Now the sky divides in 2 as we go through,
with more glory, justice and determination,
Those past's shines will come back,
those who our ensign never betrayed. We will march united as a nation,
all together building this state,
and in the unfavourable things that this travel bring us,
two stripes of our blood will escort the sunClapping have been heard in both cases and now people are getting their "Leave a Light on for Copala City" posters to demonstrate against this very unfair decision.

IPSOS POLL - COPALA CITY WOULD VOTE TO BECOME INDEPENDENT BY JUST 2 POINTS
IPSOS poll for the Copala Times, about the Copala City independence supportIf Copala City voted today in an independence referendum, a 51% of the Copalans would vote to become an independent country from the Kingdom of Reitzmag, 2 percentual points over the choice to stay as a special part within Reitzmag, supported by a 49% of the Copalans, all Reitzmics. It has come to the attention of the IPSOS poll makers that a 1% of Reitzmics would go for the independence choice, after George and Amal Maxwells had to run away from the city and the autonomy suspension, which makes them say they want an independent Copala. Something that wouldn't have happened back in January. "I believed in an united Reitzmag, but the autonomy suspension in February and then the withdrawal from the Treaty of Buckingham without any reason, even if now they try to justify it with fake news and statements, are enough reasons for me to support an independent Copala City within a Nicoleizian Commonwealth or else as a sovereign republic"; says a Copalan citizen who is Reitzmic.
George Maxwells has commented the poll results with our correspondent in the United Duchies, where he is hiding from what he calls "the final phase of the Reitzmic oppression". Maxwells says that these results weren't unexpected and they aren't surprising to him: that's why we won the election with 4 seats and that's why we had to run away from Copala City, because Reitzmag knows that letting the Copalans vote means: an independence referendum in Copala City means independence, and that's why Simon Bridges was so worried about my party, or that's why they wanted to impose a Gobernor-General." Maxwells has also gone a step further on commenting the matter: "There are 2 countries that recognise Copala City as part of a Nicoleizian Commonwealth while declaring us independent from Reitzmag, and the UNSR applauded the Reitzmics' decision, so that tells you how things worked when it comes to damaging the real Icholasen while the false one is enjoying such a decision."
Looking towards the future, a referendum concerning the Copalan independence seems imposible, but demonstrations on the streets are a daily routine at the city where dreams come true. Meanwhile, others just send letters to Harriet Copala asking her for another intervention, this time to release them from their pain. The hope is now put on the Commission elections, to have pro-independence candidates at the Commission and trying to achieve a referendum, a once in a lifetime chance. But, will that work for the people of Copala City? A month left to see if it does.

MAXWELLS, FROM ANASTASIA CITY: WE WILL FIGHT UNTIL THE END, EVEN IN THE ECOJ IF NECESSARY, FOR OUR RIGHTS AND INDEPENDENCE
George Maxwells, today, at the presentation of the Independent Union for Anastasia CityGeorge Maxwells has re-appeared today in Anastasia City, in the presentation of the new brother party of the Copalan Independent Union, the Independent Union for Anastasia City; a party that describes itself as regionalist and that will fight for the Anastasians and Copalans voices to be heard in the United Duchies and in Europe, to serve freedom to Copala City. But something has changed, maybe it is the atmosphere or how problems are now tackled; or the reduced appearances of the Prime Minister of the Copalan Republic (from ones' point of view) or the First Minister of Copala City (from anothers' point of view). Whatever it is, there is something wrong with this article, and that is having to write it being in exile in Anastasia City, while a foreign invasor oppresses any and all kind of forms of democracy which go against dictator Bridges' thoughts.
But if something makes George Maxwells and his wife, the Mayor of Copala City, Amal Maxwells; that is their attitude towards blaiming. In fact, both don't blame the Haaneans or any citizen of Copala City for what happened during the "Haanean revolution", but Reitzmag for not accomplishing a promise and trying to oppress and make everybody forget about Copala City and their majoritary requests. But of course, speaking of democracy in Reitzmag is speaking about military interventions, wild, savage patriotism and overall, no questioning to Supreme Leader Bridges, as well as a process of "asianization" nobody requested but you are socially pressured to take if you don't want to be regarded as someone against the regime. Reitzmag might be considered a democracy by many, but those who have suffered their most cruel side (like Istkalen or ourselves) know what that country is really about: silly politicians believing that leaving the European Union would be better with exaulted and radical people full of "patriotism".
Asked about the Copalan Independence in his public appearance, George Maxwells has been very clear: "Copala City will never surrender, no matter how many dictators, how many tanks or soldiers Simon Bridges wants to send; no matter how much he is wishing to arrest me. You know what happens when you are arrested, but you never know a thing about a Reitzmic prision. But the Copalans, those retained in New Saint Regina and those here, should be aware of something: we will fight until the end, even in the European Court of Justice if it is necessary, for our rights and independence." Of course, these words aren't void ones, they are a message to Europe and the countries that recognised the Copalan Republic, in the previous days of the European elections; that they should start thinking who to support: those who support extremist and totalitarian regimes or those who believe in democracy.
But meanwhile, the question is: how will the European Union and the region react to this? How will they get to solve a problem that hasn't had attention in months? That questions, dear reader, are up to you to answer them.
Martin Stewarts, writing this piece in exile, in Anastasia City.

BREAKING - George and Amal Maxwells RESIGN as First Minister and Mayor of Copala City
George and Amal Maxwells have resigned as First Minister and Mayor of Copala City, respectively. In a developing Press Conference, both have stated that the 'Copalan project needs new people to direct it and to walk towards a reconciliation, something they are not capable of doing'. This comes after the announcement of a summit between Reitzmag and Inquista concerning the Caspian coastal city, as well as the lack of recognisement from the Kingdom of Spain and Montenbourg. The people in Anastasia City, as well as the atmosphere, just turned into a kind of mixed feelings, where sadness takes an important role; but happiness at the same time because they can finally move forward to a new era.
In the press conference, George Maxwells has spoken about his mandate and the Copalans: 'I am proud to have served you, I am proud of everything I have done for my homeland and I am really proud of what we, the politicians and the people, have been able to do during these months.' It is, in fact, a shocking decision that nobody expected, not even Maxwells, whose tears could be used as a proof that behind this resignation, there is something else. Amal Maxwells, in the other hand, kept her feelings locked, as always; and thanked the Copalans for their behaviour: 'we have shown Europe that when people talk to each other and cooperate, we are able to do big things together'.
It is still unclear who will take over the Copalan Government, which has been disolved, and who will become the new mayor of the City. But something is clear: the Maxwells are back in Spain and have received a letter from the Public Prosecutor's office in which they have an appointment in court at Londres, where the couple have their house in Spain. Will they go to jail? We will have to wait to see that.

BREAKING - The Maxwells come back to Government duties
In a surprising change of their decision, George and Amal Maxwells have announced from their house in Ibiza that they will once again assume the Government duties of the Government in Exile of the 'Copalan Republic' and the Copala City Town Hall in Exile; after announcing their resign a few months ago. It is expected that both institutions meet in Menorca, Islas Baleares, Spain; where is is expected they will announce their support for the independence movement of Anastasia City, considered as the 'sister republic of Copala City'.
The Maxwells, whose trial in London ended up in them being declared not guilty, could have had an impact on their final decision to come back. In a short statement released by the President of the self-proclaimed Copalan Republic, George Maxwells has told the Copalans "to rise against the brutal Reitzmic assimilation and occupation, and to fight for a free Copala City far from the childish Government of Reitzmag, where Haaneans, Copalans and citizens from all around Europe can live freely and happy".
It is unknown if the Maxwells will either travel back to Reitzmag, where they could face an arrest; to Anastasia City to support their independence movement, or will stay in Spain with the rest of exiliated Copalans.
