Hey Europe! I'm Jon Mitchell of the House of Lind and I'm running for the office of Foreign Affairs Commissioner. Here is my candidate platform!

Dispatch Communication
Traditionally, we used to report news about what happens in the European Union to our partners and allies through forums. As global communication has evolved, it now makes more sense to move these reports to regional dispatches. Outbound Commissioner Reynels used these to great effect, so I want to build on that momentum for our monthlies and other news as the need arises. I also want to get these better promoted by encouraging Europeans to upvote them for greater international visibility.
Get Eurocorps Fully Operational
It's been a while since this was approved and we still don't have Eurocorps up and running. I trust that this is a difficult and complex process, but I do want to prod Vincent Drake to see if it can start to take national contributions ASAP. A working regional military is key to getting the European Union noticed in the world.
Establish and Use a Permanent Regional GP Embassy
We have tried several times at establishing such an embassy and never made it past the introduction statement each time. An Embassy in GP is critical to regional presence on the international stage, so I want to open a new one and actually use it actively. Monthly reports, news reports, election reports, and Eurocorps activity can all contribute content to this property.
Formalize Friendships
We have a lot of terrific informal partners who could become treatied allies. Our embassies with other regions are just that, they don't signify a deeper relationship. Just having embassies with the North Pacific and Europeia didn't stop them from trying to raid us in the past, so I think we should work on getting treaties on paper with our closest friends. This is a reach goal, but worth pursuing if the political climate is favorable.
Continue Participation in Inter-Regional Events
Commissioner Reynels got us more deeply involved in world events like UCR Con and Potato Alliance. I want the EU to keep participating in events, and perhaps, we could host our own! Something like an international Eurovoice maybe? There are endless possibilities for our own event.
