It was already afternoon and the expedition team from the University of Hampton had already received certification from the State Borders Ministry and the Foreign Affairs Ministry allowing them to safely exit the country's territorial boundaries as outlined in the Caspian Agreement. Their passports have been stamped before they board RV Petrel.

After a few minutes, the tug boats then start to pull the ship far from the dock. The ship slowly approaches deep water, and after which the ropes are released and the tug boats free the ship. The expedition is now to begin, there was no time to waste for this is the perfect season to study the Antarctic.

The team led by Dr. Sarah Gutenberg is composed of scientists, engineers, professors, and professional researchers who seek to study life in extreme parts of the planet. The expedition had some members from other European countries who want to visit the remote area and conduct experiments.

It would take about 16 hours to reach the border of Reitzmag's EEZ with such a kind of ship. But the wait is still worth for the sake of knowledge and science.
