Government announce1 billion Euro fund to co-fund feral cat rehoming and control fund
Today the government unveiled a plan after talks with charities for rehoming of the feral cat population. The scheme would fund on a 50/50 basis cat shelters to help rehabilitate and adopt out cats where it is possible after capture though any cat not rehomable or showing substansial aggression would be put down still. The cats would be fixed and then fitted with a GPS tracker chip , they would then be adopted out with an adoption fee if in Strathae with any tracking subscriptions transferred to the new owner. All cats will now be required to have live tracking gps trackers on them on top of requirements to keep them indoors. Any cat absence from the house without a human must be reported withing 24 hours to the Animal and Wildlife Police. The move comes to reduce the problems with the current culling programme. International charities will also be eligible for funding for their programmes with the government welcoming any international help with the problem. The government are also looking at sending a rep to the EU chambers in order to observe bills and put bills in on key issues including lobbying for cat control. However they still want to maintain neutrality in Europe. It is hoped the latest move to deal with the issue of cats killing wildlife will strike the balance between pest control and sensibilities of the international community.

It is a bastion of nature where humanity lives in harmony with the Earth. Just one visit and you will be hooked whether its the beautiful city of Dungael or visiting the 104 different clan areas with different cultures ,and traditions. Time your visit well you can see the Shinty final and Gaels Games where the peak of interclan competition is one show.So why not join the millions visiting every year to see our beautiful land and experience a unique culture you can only get by visiting Strathae.Getting to and Around Strathae :
()
All you need is a simple to apply for tourist visa allowing 3 months travel in the country or longer booking on the Tour of the Clans the ultimate 120 Day guided trip of all the clans providing a highlight of each clan territory.Arrival methods include international trains to most neighbours and Glaslog and Dungael Airports with good airline service. Aer Strathae is a good airline to book with plenty of routes and destinations to choose from alternatively book trains from neighbouring countries and visit by train or coach.
Once in the country you will need transport you can join organised tours such as Gaels Tours itineraries, rent a electric car or use the extensive bus, coach and train system to get around.
Things to know:
While Strathae is friendly and welcomes visitors there are things to know to respect the local unique culture that is very socially progressive. The first thing of not is to remember not to bringh meat into the country, you will not be able to eat meat during your duration of your visit though this is no issue as the vegetarian recipes of the country cater for all tastes with plenty of flavour variety.. Don't be too shocked if you see plenty of naked people in the streets, nudity especially in summer is commonplace and entirely legal with it even being accepted in many a restaurant and cafe as well as in all public parks. Generally ones clothing choices are seen as their own choice. The second is to respect the environment you should leave any place as you found it , don't bring any non-native plants or seeds in(you will have them confiscated at customs) and crucially don't litter , if you lose litter from your pocket make an effort to retrieve it as littering can result in 1,000's of euros of fines and possibly a ban on visiting for minimum of 5 years as the environment is sacred.
The third major no no is avoid any homophobic comments ,comments opposing gay marriage or LGBTQIA rights. Strathaens do not appreciate these and it will most likely offend potentially landing you in hot water with the locals on this theme any comments against womens rights are also taboo such anti-abortion comments Strathaens believe in liberty for all sexualities and genders and don't appreciate negative comments about different sexualities or genders. Follow these general three rules though and you'll have a good time and find most Strathaens very hospitable and welcoming rolling out the red carpet for you.
Reccomended items:
Reusable bottles as most cafes and restaurants will not give you a take out cup without a significant extra charge to protect the environment
Reusable Straw see above
Reusable food storage containers or portable table wear for take outs as most places will give a discount if you provide your own food storage containers and are willing to wait for serving up of food
Bags with space for rubbish to hold onto until a bin -
RE: Strathae Foreign Office
Statement on Doxing
Today as part of our efforts to fight Breizhighist and nationalist extremism of the likes that Blairites promote we have presented our new Privacy Act including sections on Doxing in the Tionól Clans. The act will make it illegal for the press and non-government agencies to publish a persons name, photo, personal adresses, workplace details and contact details in the same article, post, list or wall without expressed permission of the said person combining any two of these will be an illegal act unless one has expressed permission of the person whos details they are publishing, This will especially apply to lists. ~Though partially exempt the government will have to have all such lists combining such details vetted with a statement of intent on how details are used to check it is legal and in the public interest for them to do so and go through comittees and at a new Data Privacy Agency of Strathae first with the person able to pursue government through the courts without cost if they think an abuse of privacy law has taken place. Penalties for breaking the law shall be fines of not less than 50,000 Copars or up to 10 years in jail depending on severity of the breach.Furthermore all allegations of lying, criminality or bigotry against individuals must go through court before it can be published in press to ensure only legitimate allegations are printed and no one is subject to a trial by public oppinion. We will of course be listening to any concerns people may have over this law but we hope this will protect the privacy of Strathaens and foreigners living within Strathae.

The party is expected to break away with 14 of the 48 PoT in the "Tionól Clans. Revolution in Party of Tradition as Moira Ó Dubhshláin MacPheadair wins
The results of the leadership contest for Party of Tradition leadership has resulted in a surprise win by Moira Ó Dubhshláin MacPheadair the liberal conservative wings candidate. She won despite pollsters polls showing the Blairite candidate Blanid Ó Síoda MacDhuibh coming first in polls before the results and even Moderate Conservative Meadhbh McCreery MacUalraig beating her in polls previously. The Liberal Conservative has won the contest in the first round with 68 out 109 Associations with 27 going to Blairite Blanid Ó Síoda and 14 to Moderate Conservative Meadhbh McCreery though full results show had it gone to second round Meadhbh McCreery had a lead in that round. Both Meadhbh McCreery and Blanid Ó Síoda released statements with Meadh congratulating the 37 year old youngest PoT leader ever on her victory with Blanid decrying her victory saying "I am considering options with regards to party affiliation and whether a new party is need to represent real Strathaen Conservatives. I will be talking with many on the truly Conservative wing about our options to defend against the Catholic, Orthodox and Islamic cancer in our society."The result will be a relief to moderate and liberal conservatives in the party whose party has been considered hijacked by what many consider the extreme right wing of the party over the last 20 years resulting in a drop of the vote to the lowest in 30 years with predicted further drops if the Blairite candidate had won as the nation trends more moderate.
The new leader is expected to moderate the party platform , offer reconciliation talks with the Catholic Church while still expressing her concerns over its illiberal LGBT , Abortion and Contraception policies among other things and put forward plans for equality and religious tolerance to co-exist in Strathae. She would also look at the immigration system to see if it could be made easier to support businesses within Strathae and is planning to include proposals for reforms to allow more free market principles with support for more private SME's within PoT policy to counter the current more socialist direction of the government.

Party of Tradition Leadership Election
PoT Leadership Election
After the Blair Gobnite McLucais stepping down of leadership of the party the race is now on for leadership of Strathaes biggest party and the vanguard of Strathaen "Liberal" National Conservatism.Who will win the Blairite Nationalist Right wing and alleged anti-catholic wing , a more moderate nationalist candidate or the moderate conservative wing more willing to moderate the party to regain some votes from the middle? You decide! So lets meet the candidates:
Name:Blanid Ó Síoda MacDhuibh
Age:70
Religion:Orthodox Breizhighist
Wing:Blairite
About:A veteran of the Blairite years she represents the Blairite wing this leadershipt election. She opposes the current liberalisation of Strathae and tolerance of "bigoted religions". She if elected would pursue a path to power with a view of continuing Blairs legacy by increasing restrictions on Catholicism, Orthodoxy and Islam with migration bans , an "anti-cult" act aimed at the religions and a list of people who are members of these religions who are citizens to monitor for anti-extremism. She believes the country needs to defend its culture and wishes to ban Catholics , Orthodox and Muslims from any position of power , leadership or teaching to "protect Strathae". She also wishes to increase penalties for immigrants who break the law and enshrine further protections for LGBT by banning any religion that does not treat them equally.
Name:Meadhbh McCreery MacUalraig
Age:69
Religion:Orthodox Breizhighist
Wing:Moderate Conservative
About:A former power in the party who resigned from cabinet when Blair instituted extreme policies 10 years ago she has kept in the limelight as the bulwark of the moderate conservative wing of the party. She believes that while Strathaes culture must be protected this must be balanced with freedom of religion. She would look at how to restrict religions from providing services if they cannot garntee equal treatment of LGBT and women and trying to encourage such religions to change and taxing any religions that endorse homophobia and preach politics from the pulpit. She would also try to work to end the practise of shunning in Breizhighism. However she sis not soft hearted liberal she would still seek to restrict immigration to those with the "right values"and ban immigration from countries where the general population is known to be homophobic or misgynistic from surveys except for asylum purposes. Economically she seeks to increase oppurtunities for SME businesses to spark innovation and to make investment easier for foreign companies.
Name:Moira Ó Dubhshláin MacPheadair
Age:37
Religion:Reform Brezhighism
Wing:Liberal Conservative
About:A new face in the party having won in a more moderate PoT clan she believes the party has gone too far hard right and has alienated key voters and potential coalition partners. She would seek to moderate party policy with the aim protecting equality while also protecting religious rights . She would also seek to reform immigration to be based on residency years rather than years of marriage to a Strathaen to increase democracy. She proposes around 15-20 years of residency should get you citizenship if you have a clean record with a system of penalties for those who break the law. She would look at simply removing the tax exempt status of any non-breizhighist denomination that engages in politics. On the business front she wants to open up Strathae to foreign competition to help lower prices and increase competiveness and investment in the economy while protecting the environment. She also wishes to export green knowledge from Strathae to Europe tol aid in the climate crisisShe is generally seen as a combination of liberal social policies, protective of the clan system as is and more conservative right wing economics while maintaining a social safety net.She seeks a cabinet of 50% men if possible by the next election and to increase the percent of men in the PoT seats.

RE: Gaels Post
Community Duty extended to all people and renamed Civil Duty
The government of Strathae have today announced from next month after passage of an ammendment of the National Service Act residents will now have to do Community Duty along with citizens. The change will now mean residents if they want to keep their residency visa will have to complete 8 hours of unpaid work a week by either volunteering and registering those hours or participating directly through the Community Duty Organisation. The work will not be paid.
The act was updated to bring residents duties more in line of those of citizens and integrate foreigners into the community more. While 55% voluntarily participated 45% did not causing resentment among locals who saw those foreigners as benefiting from the hospitality and services of society while not contributing to the work that keeps it going. Many welfare services, organisations helping build homes and youth services rely on Community Duty workers support. The move is expected to provide a boost to organisations and end the inequality of some benefiting from services without contributing. The government in a statement said "We believer this country provides wonderful oppurtunity and benefits to its residents and that with that comes duties to contribute to the communities that support you."
The government is also looking at coming up with a Social Credit System to reward people for good deeds, volunteering above 8 hours a week and contributing to society in a meaningful way with Social Credits . These could then be saved up in an account and converted into a voucher to spend in stores. The move would be designed to encourage people to contributed to their communities.

Cat Cull plan unveiled
The Strathae environment minister Aran Ó Máille Ciogach has today unveiled the Cat Management Plan to protect wildlife. A survey of the countries Cat population has revealed there are between 1.1 million - 1.5 Million cats feral as well as the domest outdoor cat population despite outdoor cats being illegal in Strathae. Wildlife groups have estimated the population of cats is responsible for 2.7 billion animal deaths a year in Strathae with concerns over extinction of natural species due to the high level of cat killings of wildlife. The government announced today they would be rewarding the capture of and killing of cats outside in order to reduce wildlife deaths. The government anniounced they aimed for the capture and humane killing by cat hunters and farmers of all feral cats within 3 years. The government announced they would be paying farmers 10 Copars per cat killed in an attempt to control the population with the payments being available at the end of the year. Cat patrols would also be implemented in cities. The programme aims to mobilise the population in their war against cats in an attempt to rid the country of the invasive species outdoors. The government also warned any cat whose owner could not be traced would be killed urging cat owners to keep cats on leads outside and the property secure.
In a statement "We understand this is a hard decision to stomach however we must protect our wildlife. Outdoors cats a a severe threat and pest species that could lead to mass extinctions. That is not an acceptable price even if the pest looks cute and furry. Neutering is also not a practicle option and neither is adoption as they are not screwing the wildlife to death but eating them. Keeping millions of cats alive in the wild will only lead to mass exintinctions and degradation of the environment."

Further Justice Reform as police asked to be more leniant on minor crimes
Today the home office have announced they have asked police to be more leniant on first time offenders for minor crimes or misdemeanors and more leniant on tourists. They were asked for the first time to give a caution to tourists and first time offenders and expel tourists who commit misdemeanors and offences with a ban for at least 2 years. The reform is proposed to try and give tourists a chance to redeem themselves and learnthough if they commit an offence again they would be punished more seriously.
PoT have accused the coalition of failing to protect strathaen values and culture and bending to international "bigoted countries". They also accused the coalition of treating environmental crimes lightly. The coalition denies this saying "We treat all misdemeanors and crimes against the environment, disabled and lbgt seriously. All we are doing is giving people a chance first time so they can know not to do it again. Especially with tourists we need to give them benefit of the doubt as they don't necessarily know all our necessarily complex laws though we ask tour operators to send a leaflet out with the basic cultural conventions and applicable laws to tourists to help them avoid getting in trouble. They should be made aware of the seriousness of littering and how seriously it is dealt with."

Fines reduced
Today the government of Strathae announced it had used its powers to reduce fines for listed national offences. The fine for littering has been reduced to 1,000 Copars or 1,540 Euros for a first time offence down from 5,500 Copars or 7,700 Euros most other fines havew been reduced to 500 Copars or 770 Euros. The government also stated there would be more powers granted to forgive fines in favour of a warning than at present though many are currently let off with a warning already with an estimated 55% of interactions resulting in a warning as opposed to a fine with the name took down. The move is part of an aim to liberalise the law somewhat which was strictened under the PoT. -

Travel Ban Brickston
We regret that after meeting to discuss the outbreak of the Mystery Virus in Brickston we have decided the only course of action is to enact a temporary travel ban to Brickston for any Strathaen resident other than medical personell and denial of entry of anyone who has been in Brickston within a month before attempting entry to Strathae. Furthermore all trucks and trains from Brickston will be subject to a full bio-hazard check before entry into Strathae with drivers and crew banned from leaving their vehicles except in emergencies. We hope that once under control and eliminated we can lift this ban on Brickston. -
RE: Gaels Post
Justice reform announcement
Ronit Malloye Aidan announced the new coalition would be reforming justice policy on sentencing in Strathae for non-violent offenses and less serious environmental crimes. The reforms have been decided after negotiation and after concerns were raised by other nations about the current sysatem and sentencing policies. At present any person who has committed a 4th offense of a minor nature or for environmental crimes is punishable by jail if there is a trend of them committing crimes. This is planned to be changed with these offenses for foreign or dual citizens no longer being punishable by jail , instead dual citizens may be deported with citizenship stripped and banned from entry for up to 10 years depending on the severity. Their assets may also continue to be seized to pay any fines before leaving. The move comes in an attempt to liberalise "harsh" laws set up under the PoT to appease ultra-conservatives. The justice reform is expected to upset ultra-conservatives though it is unlikely to affect the parties as they don't tend to vote Clan Socialist Party or for the Alternative. It is hoped the reform will ease concerns of foreign powers as the government attempts to rekindle relations abroad. The government also announced they wish to hold talks with Spain and Mennrimiak to solve any issues between the countries that may exist.
New campaign from Environment Department
The Environment Department has launched a new campaign to the press of Strathae today. It unveiled the new posters that will go on buses, trains and billboards with the slogan "
Tá Pussy istigh" or "Pussy is for indoors" to highlight the risks posed to cats by an outdoor lifestyle. The posters will show a happy indoor cat with the other side showing either a cat killed for pest control or run over on the road. The minister in charge said "We have to put wildlife first. Too much wildlife is killed by cats with each cat killing up to 3 animals a day if outdoors causing extinction of wildlife species. Outdoors cats also die younger with an average outdoor cat living 2-6 years compared to 10-15 years for an indoor cat. We are running this campaign to raise awareness and help our cats and wildlife."
The controversial policy was adopted under thge PoT as cat populations swelled out of control however the policy will be extended by this government as it seeks to continue to control cat numbers which according to experts are still too high. The programme will be run in addition to the free neutering programme and giving out of free cat collars with loud bells or ultra-sonic sound generators to help warn wildlife when its being sneaked upon.Where possible cats are returned to owners with a warning to keep them indoors if an owner can be identified or put into cat sanctuaries for adoption if friendly and an owner cannot be identified.

Blair Gobnet McLucais to found Críochnaigh Bigotry
Following here parties loss of a majority in the parliament and Blair Gobnet McLucais has announced she will be stepping down as leader to let new leadership lead the party forward. The resignation has meant a leadeship contest will now take place over the next few months to elect a new leader with the traditionalist more moderate wing and blairite wings expected to field candidates. However the news that surprised most pundits was that she would be setting up a new "anti-extremism" non-profit group called
Críochnaigh Bigotry or Finish Bigotry and seeking other partners in other countries to help set up groups their. She said in a statement "As a progressive and liberal leader I have fought in parliament for tolerance, equality of all and respect of all regardless of their sexuality,or gender and race. However this is not enough to keep the fight in politics. Our new government are failing to deal with extremism instead caving in with half measures that is why I will fight for all the victims of Bigots by launching a new non-profit called Finish Bigotry. The programme will aim to end bigotry by fighting its sources such as Catholicism , Orthodox, Islam and Orthodox Judaism among others , we will fight to enact laws to end priveledges for religion to express and promote bigotry , work to help people exit these dangerous cults and work on campaigns to raise acceptance of all people. The group will fight religious intolerance and call out dangerous bigots like the pope and run a list hate preachers on our website to make people aware of where the dangerous people are along with the adresses of the organisations they work for and at. We will Finish Bigotry."The non-profit idea is being met with a mixture of praise and condemnation with critics accusing Blair Gobnet McLucais of crating a front to focus militant anti-catholics and christians in one place under the guise of fighting extremism with supporters arguing such an organisation is necessary and saying its not fair religions are treated as exempt from laws on equality or criticism of their beliefs. The government has yet to comment but commentators expect the organisation to be approved with Blair stating she will be seeking partners in countries like Spain, United Duchies, Reitzmag, Czechslavia and Mennrimiak among others with her asking anyone who wants to start a partner org in their country to get in touch.

Strathae perfectly safe to visit says Foreign Affairs minister in reaction to travel advisory and terror listing
The Foreign Minister Stiofán Lughaidh Durbar has hit out at the travel advisories and Mennrimiaks putting Strathae on its terror list. The minister said "Even if the PoT were in charge and the previous planned laws were to pass its an overreaction . As it is its an extreme overreaction given our relatively moderate policy plans and the fact its a policy and government backed by a democratic majority achieved in a legitimate popular election.
We welcome any Spanish and Mennrimiak people to enjoy our wonmderful hospitable culture and beautiful environment. As long as one is respectful of al sexualities, genders and types of people and the environment and follows just basic respect of not littering or saying hate speech then they won't get fined and will have a wonderful time being welcomed by all. We love welcoming all who follow these principles to our country to either live and work or just visiting as we want to share our beautiful land and culture but we also want to preserve it to make sure it all exists for future generations, that is why we ask for basic respect of the environment and LGBT and women."
The minister when asked how she would respond to the moves said she saw no need to add measures on the nations and that she wouldn't get into a tit for tat. She added that she would be open to meetings with Spain and Menrimmiak to discuss any concerns they may have saying " any extremism and hate in Strathae is not welcome though criticism of religious beliefs and ideologies is entirely valid".

The state chose to prosecute to make an example with the Justice Secretary saying "This shows that one must respect Strathae. This man blatantly showed a disregard for his fellow man and animals. Any number of animals and wildlife could have suffocated on the litter he dropped. Littering is not a minor offense but a serious threat to the lives of wildlife. We hope he uses his time in prison before his deportation after his sentence to reflect on his actions. We will not take environmental crimes lightly in Strathae."The government have also moved to seize assets to pay the fines worth 35,000 Copars or 53,900 Euros. Controversial campaign promise as Blair Gobnet MCLucais calls for controls on "Cults"
Today PoT leader Blair Gobnet McLucais announced at a campaign event a controversial policy at European level. She said in a rally speech "My Strathaen friends we need to stop lying to ourselves we have dealt with the biggest threats and menaces to our culture. We haven't still today cult members of dangerous sociopathic bigoted cults still are too numerous in our land and we need to make sure they are not comfortable. Its time to take the fight to the Islamic, , Catholic , Orthodox and Orthodox Jewish bigots who promote hatred discord , homophobia and sexism. Therefore we as a party promise this, elect us again we will defend our beautiful liberal culture.Within 2 months we will present a bill establishing the definition of a cult and banning said cults in our land as well as defining bigoted faiths. Blair also promised to continue her policy of no male leaders or candidates well into the future for her party again criticised by the leader of Unity(Aontacht).
