Just as it appeared, it disappeared.

Today, in 10/5/2022, the Underathians supervisors were late to work on the construction of the port.

Not being able to reach them otherwise, workers were sent to the nearby town, only to find out it wasn't there.

Satelite images confirmed that none of the cities of Underath were there. As suddenly as it appeared, it dissapeard. The rulers and people of other nations will always remember this encounter, the strange people of Underath who somehow haven't been discovered until then. How was that even possible? Though disapearing like that proves that this kingdom was truly something else, and all europeans hope that the Underathians are good, wherever they are, wherever they went.

26 of April's annual horse riding competition

For 100 years prior the annual horse riding competition has been taking place uninterrupted, and so it will every year.

Horses, being Underath's national animal, are loved by the public, and horse riding competitions are one of the most common sports in Underath. And so, it was logical that an annual horse riding competition would be made, and it was, on the 26th of April. The day that, as the fable tells it, Noir, god of all, made horses.

Only the best of the best are allowed to participate in a big and hard obstacle course where the contestants are allowed to bring their trusty horses.

      Noirism

Noirism is the official religion of Underath, as 100% of the population believes in it. The basic explanation of it is the following:

Noirism speaks about Ev, the god of everything. Of space and time. The one who made four children, alone, and gave them domains to rule over. Rea and Mol partnered and gave birth to San, god of light, and Berka with Rot partnered gave birth to Mia, goddess of darkness. Their two kids could not resist falling in love and gave birth to Noir, the god of nature. But their parents did not approve of their children's love, as they were complete opposites and wanted to kill their children.

So, Mia filled the sky with darkness, making space dark, and Sam filled this darkness with stars, and unlimited little lights so that their parents would be distracted, not knowing which one of them housed the child they so desperately wanted to kill. And so Noir could survive and make the Earth, the humans, and the animals so he could watch over them and never be alone.

That is the truth and the truth only.

Summits, Discussions, and threats with Spain.

Even though Spain was the first country to discover Underath and the first country to have a summit with it as well, relations are not improving.
Firstly, the summit that was held saw a discussion of a treaty that would allow Underath to use the strait of Gibraltar to its fullest advantage. However, no solid agreement was made and the Spanish monarch suggested it could be discussed another time. However, due to the latest treaty with Reitzmag (see article 2) the Spanish government has used fiery language, accusing both nations of threatening its sovereignty, even going on to claim that all the strait belongs to them. The whole situation has disappointed King Zagreus, who, when asked, said:

"The Spanish monarch seems to create problems where there are none. All that I signed with Reitzmag was a defense treaty that would not involve him at all. Under no circumstances would I let a foreign nation like Reitzmag take advantage of Underath and use it to attack Spain. Out of nowhere Spain comes and interferes with affairs that are none of their business, plays victim, breaks the good relations with their neighbor, makes accusations, and threatens with war even though none asked for it.

      Treaty with Reitzmag

The new treaty that our nation signed with Reitzmag assures modernization and protection of Underath by our eastern friends. Although details are not given to the public, we know for certain that his majesty King Zagreus has made sure Underath gets the best out of the deal and slow and steady improvements will be made.

      Treaty of Attela

The treaty with the United Duchies that has been recently signed by King Zagreus agreed to the construction of a port and aid in agricultural improvement, which will increase the average Underathian's economy and standards of living. Though some are scared that the new technologies will take away the people's minds, King Zagreus assures that for now the people things will get are mostly upgraded versions of things they already did.

"Having just discovered the land that we own, we realized that there is a small island just next to our land. Since we haven't colonized yet, it would be the perfect base for a military base for us and our allies. I suppose you could make one there so that you are able to defend us. I am sure that modern technology makes it so your soldiers can come quickly, but in a war, every second counts."

      "Of course" Zagreus smiled.
"I have always believed that a good nation begins from the good education of its people. I am thankful that you are willing to help us without much in return, we appreciate it.

There is not much more for me than to accept your kind offer for aid in infrastructure and education, but I will kindly refuse your military support. Your nation is just too far away to be effective and letting you make a base in our lands is just out on the table. Worry not, for Underath has allied itself and the will of the Underathian people will drive any enemy force away, as they have done for centuries."

The King smiled widely, appreciating the kindness and generosity he has received. He looked at the hand that the prime minister had kissed, and said, as he laughed.

"There was really no need. Through many of the summits, I took part in I realized you outsiders have particular means of showing respect that is alien to us in Underath. Nevertheless, I am glad that you respect me and my nation in every way you can."

He took a look at the gems, before putting them back in their box.

"I am very thankful for this gift as well, just another proof of your generosity that makes me very happy. I will be turning these gems into jewelry for my wife so that all my people and all foreigners are able to see them and admire their beauty."

He put the box away and sat more comfortably in that seat that was so soft and comfortable it seemed better than the King's magnificent bed back at home. Of course, he thought, such an advanced civilization would have advanced luxuries.

"I am glad that you are willing to aid us, as there are pressing issues that must be countered in Underath. We are planning to build a port for economic development through trade and to enhance that we could build roads for your cars, buy better tools for our citizens to farm and produce jewelry, clothes, furniture, and other leisure goods, as well as upgrade our people's houses. They have brick walls, wooden roofs, and floors and I am sure through your aid we can give people in Underath a better life.

Of course, if you are willing to aid us, we will grant you economical benefits such as less shipping costs for our products to arrive on your land, discounts on certain products, and much more to give back the generosity you are giving to us."

    • RE: Into the Unknown (Underath - Spain Summit)

"First of all, to get this out of the way" King Zagreus answered quickly.
"United Duchies comes after you, don't mess up the timeline. It's weird, I know, everyone is making summits with me, but anyway. An airport is a good idea, I shall consider it.

As for the rest, Ι must say that your deal sounds very nice. But, just in order to finalize the offer, I would like to tell you what terms I deem important.

      1. The strait will be split economically in two equal parts, and we can choose on our own if we would like to give a discount on someone's taxes when they pass through, so people can choose what they prefer. Also that if a nation is blocked on my side, you can let it pass from yours and vice versa. Though if someone blocks someone the other one doesn't want to, we can talk about it but we won't have to give in to what the other says.

      2. In any accident, in any case of marine life preservation and protection the strait would be connected. Boats from your side can come to me to save a seal or help a sinking ship.

      3. The strait would be militarily split into two equal parts. No one's battleships have the right to enter the other person's turf.

      4. If other nations' battleships want to pass from the strait, they can only do so with the mutual agreement of both of us.

      5. Underath won't receive help or resources from Spain even before it has completed building its port. From the second we sign the treaty, we will act as if Underath is a modernized nation with it's own ports and ships.

Finally, I don' think creating two organizations would be necessary. Just being in the same one as co-owners, so that each one's side of the strait is treated the same by the other and each one has the freedom to do whatever they want, of course if it's in the boundaries of the things we have agreed for together.

"Truly, this has been quite a surprise. Not once in my life have I received such a welcome, not even in my own country. But of course, we don't have such things there. Cannons and limousines and planes and all. It has been quite an exciting journey to get here, and I saw things no Underathian has ever seen. I am afraid they won't believe me when I narrate it to them!

Though, enough with that. All this must be normal for you and though I won't take up more time talking about them. An exchange of culture and history would be preferable. Talk to me about your nation. What are your people renowned for? What great battles have you fought? Because you certainly have many of those.

I am glad I have found a King. Finally, someone bearing the same heavy title and responsibilities as me. I was displeased to find that there are not many royal families in this new world"

King Zagreus gladly accepted the HIgh Duke's offer, and, having nothing else to discuss, he took the foreigners on a tour around the capital. The High Duke and his wife enthusiastically walked around the stone roads, seeing people on horses, brick houses, masonries, and local bussineses. Masonries, shoe cleaners, cloth industries, as well as going through the local market.

Having such a surreal experience that felt as if they walked through a set for a movie, they went to their helicopter and took off, leaving Underath.

"Well, that all sounds peaceful and. Much different than Underath. Here, though, we didn't have kind people like your nation's. Many savage tribes of RavenSlathians, Bartholdians and primitive Woltinians, and Chijaiwas ruled the land we now call home. The only honorable nation was Kottonbrush, which Alexander, our founder, managed to unite with when he liberated our lands from the brutal RavenSlathians.

The centuries that followed were of constant war and development, that saw our great kings, one by one defeating the enemy tribes and uniting our region under Underath.

Our religion speaks about Ev, the god of everything. Of space and time. The one who made four children, alone, and gave them domains to rule over. Summits galore

We are happy to announce that our dear Underath takes the spotlight of the world right after it's discovery, having made three summits with Spain, Yosai, and United Duchies, and Reitzmag.

The foreign rulers came to our nation in metal birds, landing from the sky and talking for a while with King Zagreus, one by one, discussing Underath's prosperity and development, it's the entrance to the world, culture, history, and geopolitics. The exact details haven't been given to the public.

Charlotte, the winner of the horse riding competition

After a much entertaining competition of horse riding, our 132nd annual, Charlotte, princess of Underath and sister of Zagreus won the competition by a close call, after passing Lord Hector in the final seconds! Good job to both of them, as they both got medals and were honored with the typical feast.

      King Zagreus thanked him

"That seems more like it. That way both our nations can prosper and there will be no danger of betrayal from either of us. I am thankful we could end up in a compromise. Could it be that we will have to sign a contract of some sort?

Well, either way, I am glad that the strait of Gibraltar will come to my use. And ships aplenty shall dock in my ports for trading purposes.

Now, apart from all of those, I would be interested in learning about your nation's culture, history, and most importantly, religion. You seem like a great nation, and I wonder how it all came to be. And what gods do your people worship? I imagine if your technology is something that only our gods could have used, then your gods will probably be even more unimaginable to our minds." he said, waiting for curiusly for an answer

The King looked at the phone he was given with curiosity, before responding to the High Duke who he looked at with caution in his eyes

"I don't think it would be good for the nation if a different nation 50% of the hospitals, ports, and airports. If you owned half those things that will become ever so important to Underath, Underath will then balance on a short rope as if you wished to, you could damage our economy severely. And even if the world is like our Kingdom, kind that is, and punishes you for that, the damage done to our people will be immerse.

I hope that you can understand that we can't take such dangerous trades so early on in our journey through the world. Though we could get some deal which is not dangerous for either party. We could sell you furniture, jewlery, and other Underathian decorations that are unique here at much lower prices than we will in the rest of the world. I am sure that your people will buy our things in droves as they will have never seen them before.

If we do start selling that to you, it would be more beneficial to yourself than to me if you built ports for us, since your products will arrive faster. But ports that we can control ourselves, that is. I really don't think i am being unreasonable here"
King Zagreus finished, and sat back on his chair, looking at the beautiful piece of technology he held in his hand as he took a sip of his wine.
