ON THE SECURITY OF THE VATICAN CITY-STATE

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

In anticipation of a possible threat to the integrity, security, and sovereignty of the Vatican City-State, we have come to the decision of temporarily closing any and all entry points until further notice. Tourists currently inside the City-State are advised to leave within the next 24 hours or take refuge to the nearest precinct of The Gendarmerie Corps. We are currently cooperating and requesting for assistance with different nations on defending the state's borders from the oncoming intrusion.

Regular mass and other religious activities will continue to take place in St. Peter's Basilica unless otherwise decided in future notices. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the steps we are taking, but we ensure that this will be for the safety and security of all persons in the state right now. May the Lord God Bless us and Protect us all, wherever we may be.

HE Jorge Arturo, Cardinal Medina Estevez
          President, Governorate of Vatican City

          HE Andrew, Cardinal Yeom Soo-jung
          Secretary, Office for Security/Defense

          Noted:

          HH Peter II
          Supreme Pontiff

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

ON THE INTEGRITY OF THE VATICAN CITY-STATE
(OOC: completely false information yet again)

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

The Gendarmerie Corps, after over a day of fighting, have defeated terrorist forces that sought to overtake the Vatican. We mourn and pray for all those who have died, as well as their families. All terrorists have since surrendered.

The security, integrity, and sovereignty of the Vatican City-State is now ensured. We withdraw our support for foreign military intervention; however, aid organizations will be allowed into the territory of the Vatican City-State in order to begin the process of reconstruction.

HE Jorge Arturo, Cardinal Medina Estevez
              President, Governorate of Vatican City
