      The railways are run by a mixture of Train Operating Companies running franchises for intercity services with all of them currently sheduled for rebidding in 20 years though they could be stripped sooner if services aren't good enough , then with local or state owned companies running short commuter rail services.         The Duchies Go Card entitles you to 34% discount on fares for 5 years while the GoPass entitles you to travel on regional and slow trains. It also allows free use of the buses, trams and metros in any municipality. The card also acts as a payment method for any tickets you do have to pay for with tickets by linking a card to the card holder.GoPasses also offer a 34% discount on any local all transit ticket pass prices and are accepted as payment if linked to a card on all buses and local transit that is not included in Duchies Go Pass as well as bike and e-scooter share schemes.Passes are Pay monthly with early termination fees.

        Booking Trains
        There are many ways to buy train tickets, check information on status of trains and find the best deals. You can go to the station and buy in person with every station required to have manned ticket counters and guards at station at all times there is train service to the station. The second way and most convenient is through the DuchiesGo app and system the DuchiesGo platform gives you live data on where trains are , allows you to buy passes and reserve your seats. It shows all fares from all train operators including All operator fares, Single operator Fares and Train Alliance Fares showing you the best combination to get to your destination based on price and time of journey. The third way is to book through train alliance and train operator websites. The range of ways makes it easy to pay for tickets with paper, passes and e-tickets accepted on trains and at barriers at stations and tap on points on the DuchiesGo terminal network.
