LIVE from Broadcasting House in Trondheim, I'm your host Henri Ferrer this is Radio Free Icholasen!
National Anthem of Icholasen Plays
Tonight, on our first night of broadcasting, we thought we might take a broader outlook to our news programme.
Much has happened in the world since the coup d'etat that supplanted the duly elected government in Saint Regina with a communist regime. This broadcast will focus on one event that has captured media attention across Europe.
No, it's not King Gustaf's latest hat (though it is absolutely fabulous), it is the recent communist rebellion in East Moreland, and the swift response taken by the powers of Europe to quell the rebellion in the URR.
After communist rebels seized control of the Reich of East Moreland and began to encroach on the greater URR, the king sent out a cry for help, and Iquista and Gallorum responded in kind. The Gallois and Inquistan forces acted galliantly against the communists, forcing them into surrender. Despite efforts made by Nicoleizian forces to keep this rebellion alive, the free armies of the world were victorious in defeating the communist armies.
A peace summit was held in Nyetthem, hosted by the Vayinaod Archrepublic. With the communists gone, the URR sought compensation for the damage done to its lands by the anti-communist forces, and even compensation for a URR vessel that had been severely damaged after a Nicoleizian plane impacted into it. While the conference is still underway, it seems that the Reich of East Moreland will be renamed to New Moreland and will operate as a special administrative region of the URR.
More details on this story as it develops. Now, our gossip correspondent Jesse Fischer joins us from Europolis with the latest deets. Queen, take it!
Thanks Henri, a rousing bit of news for the oppressed peoples of the world. Now, onto much more important things: the latest chairs are IN and let me tell you babe, they ain't nothing like you've ever seen before. I see before me a Ronald. This beautiful amalgam of form and function would fit perfectly in one's great room or foyer, bringing a confused and bewildering stylistic choice into any cleansing environment. Alongside the latest in chairs comes some true TEA. It appears that Fremet's former PM, Angela Merkel, has taken up a new duty to the crown: tabloid photographers spotted Angela in a very spicy outfit arriving at the residence of HM Princess Madeleine, the current heir apparent. Angela is rumoured to have remained in the residence of the Princess for two days, before leaving early Tuesday morning to return to her villa in Èze, which just so happens to be where the Princess has just acquired a summer home. We will no doubt keep you up to date on this budding romance as it develops.
Now, in MUSIC, I have for you one of my favourite artists to take us all out: Carlos, HIT IT!
Big Bisous plays, closing out the segment
Thank you Jesse for such an informative piece! That's all we have for tonight here on RFI, so from now until next time, remain strong, keep your head down, and never stop looking towards the light of Freedom
