Europe Day: A Special Date To Celebrate
The European Union was refounded the 25th July. Despite the Europe Day Act 2020 being passed after it, the European Commission has decided to celebrate it, so Europe will be able to come together for once a year. In 2020, Europe Day will be celebrated on October 19th and major events will take part in Europolis. But, what is it really about?

Europe Day is not only about the European Union members which take part on elections or the European Council having a voice on the European Politics. It's also about all those nations recognised by the EU which make Europe what it is now. We are a special region, which always stands along those with great purposes.

Europe Day is also the date when Europe shall come together. Maybe the European Union is something you may dislike, but Europe is bast and inmense, and lots of nations are part of it. Despite being divided in politics, society, culture or ideological thoughts, we know how to be friendly with any other nation that arrives or is a very important part of our region.
From the European Commission, we hope to see you all the 19th of October in Europolis, to celebrate diversity, solidarity, empathy and the many values the European Union and Europe, as a continent, share.

A Speech About Europe Day - By Jean-Claude Juncker
To every European citizen:
For the first time in our history, the 19th October we will celebrate Europe Day for the first and last time on this date. From 2021 and so on, we will celebrate it on the 25th July, the date when this marvelous Union was refounded. After being born again, the European Union has become a place for everyone, where we respect the most essential rights of our citizens and we enforce and respect the laws. Where democracy is one of our main pillars, and where every nation, despite their differences, their culture or their geographical situation, carry on trusting in us.
The European Union isn't just those countries which send a Councillor into the European Council, but every nation that makes Europe what it is right now. From Angleter to Vayinaod, from Aleutia to Reitzmag, from Inquista to Fremet going over Ruthund, Montenbourg, Spain, the Duxburian Union or Gallorum. And I could go on for ages. We make this Union, and when someone thinks on leaving us, we all get a little bit sad, because Europe and the European Union will never be the same without them. I always say that every nation has an Air Force, I don't, the European Commission hasn't. But we have lots of nations among us, co-operating and trying to make Europe and our humble, solidary and equal Union better every day.
This 19th October, I would like to encourange you going out, to your street, your city's main avenue or even to a celebration of Europe Day in your country or Europolis, and enjoy with many others Europeans like you. I'm pretty sure they will welcome you as they welcomed me in Europolis when I first entered the building where my office is right now, because the Europeans are really friendly people, open-minded and never let you down. And to those coming here, to Europolis, I hope you enjoy the day with us, celebrating diversity, our values, our democracy.

My fellow Europeans,
As your Commissioner of Foreign Affairs, I have travelled all across the globe, visiting many different regions and many different countries. Even though my work and my travels bring me to many new places, new sceneries, and blesses me with many new opportunities and experiences, it has also given me a deep appreciation of everything back home, here in the European Union, and it has taught me how lucky I truly am. I have never been more fond and more proud of the European Union than I am at this moment, serving you, the European people. I have come to fully appreciate, with great perspective, what we have as a Union, what she share collectively, and what we have achieved together.
The European Union is a beautifully diverse community of amazing different member states, nations and people. There is no single Union as unique, diverse and special as our own. Each of our members states are irreplaceable, and each member state has their own unique strengths that they bring to the table. That's why, together, our unity, and our diversity, makes us so strong: we compound our unique and different strengths together, and we make each other better.
The friendships and commonality that our member sates, nations, and people share is what truly makes the European Union what it is. The European Union is the home of the European community, and it is this common community which has allowed all of our member states to flourish, thrive and make great strides together. Our European community has allowed us to forge a Union where our member states can lean on one another, trust one another, and form deep and unbreakable bonds together. There is far more that unites us than what divides us, and we as, Europeans, and as citizens of European Union member states, understand this, and we celebrate this. We celebrate this because we know there is no better community than our very own home: the European Union. We know that together, through this shared common community, we can build each other up, support one another, and we can become unstoppable in our pursuit of common progress.
This 19th of October, I hope that you join me, and the rest of Europe, in celebrating Europe Day. I hope that you celebrate it with your friends, your neighbours, your loved ones, and indeed, with your fellow Europeans. On this occasion, we truly are one, as European kin, and despite any differences between us, we know we can fall back on one another, and cherish our common ground, our common values, and our common home. Together, on Europe Day, we can stand shoulder-to-shoulder, arm-in-arm, in celebration of our magnificent European Union.

Europe Day - 19th October 2020
It was a nice morning in Europolis, despite being in Autumn. But it was cold, really cold. The Internal Affairs Commissioner woke up on his house's bedroom, without Christiane. She had gone to the hairdresser because, as said by him: "Claudie, I need to look amazing for a very important celebration like Europe Day, but don't worry, I won't drink any alcohol like when you won the Commission again back in September". It seems like she was going to accomplish her word, but you never expect Christiane coming.
Juncker was a man that did many things at home, incluiding washing his own clothes, and he had chosen his favourite suit for this chance. Juncker was not going to do a speech, only Merkel would, as she was the Premier Commissioner. He wished to be Premier someday, but it would depend of the EPA. He seated in front of his computer and saw he had a webpage opened, which he didn't remember. He clicked over it and saw it. The Junckalendar he was releasing for Christmas, that was what he was working on. He decided to save his work and close the webpage. He turned the computer off and started to prepare for the great day.
Europolis City Centre
In Europolis City Centre, the volunteers started to get everything ready on the street. The Europolis Town Hall had passed regulations about the day, the streets that would be shutted down for celebrating Europe Day and where to locate everything. In the Europe Museum, the newest exposition was ready to be opened, and in the streets, the volunteers would be in charge of helping those visiting Europolis today.
There were activities for kids, for adults and for elder people who, like the Europolis citizens, had a free day. 2020 would be a test to see if Europe Day could work, and the Commission, the European Union and Europolis played an important role on it. Everthing was ready for the best day of the year in Europolis involving the EU. Puzzles, maps, lots of funny games, documentaries, guided tours to the Council and Commission buildings, meet n' greet with some Councillors who wanted to and with Juncker or other Commissioners who were up to do it, guided visits from the Eurogroups who wished to do that (like the EPA)... etc. Everything looked fine.

Vatican, 19th October 2020 - 0900h CEST
Pope Pedro and Jorge Arturo Medina were heading to the Vatican City Airport, where a flight would take them into Europolis. For security reasons, the Pope decided to fly on a private jet instead than in a public one, and he won't disturb anybody with rush. The Holy See was not a member of the European Union, but it was Europe Day after all and they received an invitation signed by Commissioner Juncker, who it seemed that was incharge of that.
"Jorge, don't you think the European Union wants to have a closer relationship with non-European Union members? Why would they invite the Vatican to the celebration?" Asked Carlos Amigo, now Worldwide known as Pope Peter II.
The Carmelengo looked at the Pope and answered: "I don't know Supreme Pontiff, maybe they just wnat to be nice with the Roman Catholic Church. What are your plans concerning the European Union?" He asked.
"Maybe joining the EU or getting an agreement to get some advantages would be a great idea, but that first needs to be consulted with the Vatican. They made a mess because of the Airport 3 years ago, they will make it with my changes to the Church and for sure, they will make it if I just tell them that I'm interesting on the EU". Said the Pope, convinced on his affirmations.
"Then we will have to prove that, Supreme Pontiff" Said the Carmelengo smiling.
The Holy See leaders arrived to the Vatican Airport, where they boarded into their private jet which would take them into Europolis. Pope Pedro was excited to know the European leaders, not just Jesús Aguilar. Maybe Simon Bridges could turn up, which would make him and the Carmelengo really happy. And how could he forget about Mikaela Klienberg or Sauli Niniisto? Of course, every leader was important despite their religion, and that's something the pope had very clear. During the flight, the Pope and the Carmelengo worked on their affairs, keeping some sort of conversation catholically oriented.
The plane touched down on Europolis Airport on time, and the Religious leaders were guided into their small motorcade. The Holy See had finally arrived into Europe's Capital City, to enjoy the celebration.

Donald Tusk was in his Europolis' favourite hotel, as he had some pending Council sessions and debates were still going on. He had access to private chats were the members of the Government announced an statement was coming out, and when someone released it, he started to read it. "Perfect", he said. The Government had announced he would attend with the Spanish President to the Europe Day celebrations, which were simply a great idea in Tusk's view.
He got ready and once he had prepared everything, the Spanish Councillor got onto his electric Europolis car. He was lucky enough to have a parking lot in Europolis near the hotel where he could get his car parked with no risk of being stealed or something like that. He entered the garage and then, got onto his car. He turned the engine on and drove to the Airport, where he would meet the Spanish President, Jesús Aguilar, once again.
Jesús Aguilar had prepared his suitcase for this special day, and he woke up early that day. Once he took breakfast, he said goodbye to his family members and got onto the motorcade which would escort him to Torrejón de Ardoz airbase. Meanwhile, he called Tusk to check he was going to give him a lift, and the answer was affirmative. The President arrived at Torrejón de Ardoz, salutated the military personnel he found on his way to the Falcon and boarded on the plane towards Europolis.
During the flight, the President decided to work for 30 minutes and write a book for the other 30 minutes of flight. The flight was expected to last for an hour, because of the windy conditions at an altitude of 12.000 metres, which was something the President understood as a fan of aircraft knowledges and their stuff. The crew told the President that the plane were due to land, and the President got ready for landing. During the approach, the plane flew over the city of Europolis and the President decided to look by the window. He saw the celebrations from his plane and before touching down, he saw a poster from what was supposed to be a Juncker fan. The poster said: "Welcome to Jean-Claude Juncker International Airport - There's nothing better than having a good Junckflight.". Aguilar laughed a bit and said: "I hope this becomes true sometimes".
The Presidential plane landed at Europolis' airport and Tusk picked up Jesús, in order to attend the celebrations.

Europe Day - Part 2
After the European Leaders arrived [OOC: You may have attended even if you didn't say it, up to the roleplayers], all headed to the city centre of Europolis. The European Commissioner arrived firstly, and shook hands with the Europolis' authorities. They talked until the police sirens started to be heard, when everyone got ready to welcome the European leaders that attended. One by one, the leaders got off their cars and shook hands with the authorities from Europolis and the Commissioners. All stood where the volunteers asked them too, while people was cheering to the leaders and the authorities.
Journalist took photos of the attendants all together and then, the Europolis' Orchestra played the European Union's anthem. Once the orchestra stopped playing the anthem, the crowd and attendants clapped. The people started to divide theirselves into the activities that were taking place all around Europolis, while the European leaders, Commissioners and Europolis' authorities headed to Europe's Museum after shaking hand with the volunteers that were taking part on the event. Once they arrived, the Museum manager welcomed the attendants and guided them into the new exposition which would be inagurated.
Once they arrived, the Museum manager, the Commissioner and the Europolis' authorities opened the exposition and the attendants entered. In the exposition, photos, portraits and other documents of importance for the European Union, like the European Union Constitution, were being displayed. Everyone looked carefully to what it was being displayed while the manager was acting as a touristic guide for the attendants. After getting off the museum, the leaders had lunch in a very famous restaurant in Europolis and hen took part in the activities all around Europolis.
