Construction of high-speed Trans-Regional Railway Network Central Line concluded.
The Ministry of Development, Infrastructure and Transport is glad to announce the completion of the construction of the Trans-Regional Railway Network Central Line.
This project, which has required the allotting of 1,389,000,000.00₯, is part of the 7,587,000,000.00₯ Trans-Regional Railway Network Refurbishing Plan, scheduled to reach completion in 2023, and allowing to connect all regional capitals to Dikaíoma, the national capital.
The Central Line (shown in green on the map below) connects Dexia (Williamsborough), Abikon (Kingston) and Iasium (New England) to Dikaíoma (Dytikós). -
The 2019-2020 Derectan Budget has been presented today at the Senate.

Councillor for the European Union of the Republic of Derecta
Let it be hereby announced that Guillermo de Berlanga y Prieto, citizen of the Republic of Derecta, is the new Councillor for the European Union of the Republic of Derecta, replacing HE Cllr. Julian Maverick.
This decision will become effective once appointed-Councillor de Berlanga y Prieto presents his credentials before the European Council, which will happen when outgoing-Councillor Maverick concludes the procedures of submitting of his latest proposed Union Act.
As such, we request that, for the time being, the different European political and institutional authorities recognise appointed-Councillor de Berlanga y Prieto as a representative of the Derectan State, and that they may render the administrative procedures required for his settlement in Europolis as straightforward as possible.
We understand and clarify that, until the day of his formal departure of office, outgoing-Councillor Maverick is the sole Derectan representative yielding the right to express our country's views and vote in the European Council.

Julian Maverick, former EU Councillor, to become new Minister of Science and R&D
Following the appointment of HE Guillermo de Berlanga y Prieto as Councillor for the European Union, and after consultation with the Derectan Popular Alliance, I am pleased to announce that I appoint The Hon. Julian Maverick, MS, former EU Councillor, as Minister of Science and R&D of the Republic of Derecta.
Mr Markos Stefanidis has vacated his office as Member of the Senate, after being proposed by the Derectan Popular Alliance to preside the Derectan Scientifical Authority. He has subsequently decided to relinquish the office of Minister of Science and R&D and has proposed The Hon. Julian Maverick to succeed him in both the post of Senator and Minister.The Hon. Julian Maverick, MS, had previously served the office of Secretary of State for Scientific Development form 2014 to 2017, prior to becoming the Councillor for the European Union in replacement of Dame Viviana Richetti, current Deputy Prime Minister, in the occasion of her accession to the office of Premier Commissioner of the European Union.
This decision becomes effective as of the immediate signing of the decree regulating the new duties of The Hon. Julian Maverick, MS.

Current situation of Her Grace The Most Hon. Cayetana Valcárcel-Aranjuez y Pérez de Viñastre, Duchess of Athenaesios, MS, Prime Minister of the Republic of Derecta
After attending the Spanish National Day events, our Head of State and Government, Her Grace The Most Hon. Cayetana Valcárcel-Aranjuez y Pérez de Viñastre, Duchess of Athenaesios, MS, is currently missing. Cabinet members who travelled with her state that the Prime Minister decided to attend an unofficial event in Ibiza, Spain, hosted by Inquistan socialite Mikaela Kligenberg.
Reports from our embassy in Antequera suggest that, after having been illegally apprehended by the Spanish authorities, violating the principle of diplomatic immunity of top government officials, the Prime Minister was abducted and removed from the premises by what could be an international organised crime organisation.
The Government of the Republic of Derecta wishes to inform any involved party that the detaining of our Head of State and Government constitutes an act of war, which shall be answered proportionately.
3 "Charybdis" class supercarriers, 5 "Scylla" class destroyers, 5"Aegaeon" class frigates, 3 "Thalassa" class cruisers and 5 "Phorcys" class nuclear-powered attack submarines are already sailing towards international waters surrounding Spain. 10 "Athene noctua" class fighters and 4 "Apollo" class strategic bombers, escorted by 5 "Cornucopia" class tankers, shall be periodically flying over the international airspace surrounding Spain ready to attack facilities suspected of holding the Prime Minister. 25,000 troops are on standby ready to be deployed.
This is an official declaration by the Republic of Derecta of its instating of a state of exception. Our allies are advised to provide us with any and all information regarding the Prime Minister's situation. We also inform our allies that the Republic of Derecta is now taking a belligerent position, and any further threat to our national integrity will force us to declare war.
