Moderates form "rainbow coalition following split election
John Peter Key of the Moderate Party has announced with the Liberals, Union of Democrats, Duchies Christian Alliance and Alliance of Royalists that they are to form a government going forward with the deputy PM position going to Dominic Marshall despite Alliance of Royalists being only the 4th largest party in the coalition. John Peter Key celebrated the moment saying in a speech "This election season has been tough and the peoples verdict has been clear. There is no overwhelming preference for any party as of now. Bearing in mind this we have made the decision along with our coalition partners it is better to work together as one nation in the interests of our great duchies. We will lead a government for all , a government for liberals, a government for moderates and a government for conservatives. This is a time of unity for our nation and I hope going forward we can work together. "
The coalition has announced they will release the coalition agreement by the weekend. Meanwhile John Peter Key will attend the next Leaders summit for the EU. It has been announced that the foreign minister position will go to the Union of Democrats.

*Tobias Johnson Farage quits after diagnosis of cancer
In sad news today Tobias Johnson Farage has announced he is to quit after votes on the EACA amendment and EUROPEAN NEURODIVERGENT AND DISABILITY RIGHTS ACT. The news which comes as a shock to those who support the veteran Duchies politician has been revealed to do with a diagnoses of cancer. He was apparently diagnosed last month though kept it quiet mainly until he knew the prognosis. He said in a statement joint with James Mizrachi-Roscoe a supermarket titan within the Duchies " I today will resign my role of European Councillour aftermy successor is elected. I will be finishing existing legislative business as a I do my best to serve my constituents. I have spoken to my friend and patriot James Mizrachi-Roscoe who I have encouraged to run due to his great expertise and commitment to the people of the Duchies. I am proud to say he agrees it would be best to run in
the election and I put my full endorsement behind him.I would love to serve if I could but I cannot give a full commitment and it would be wrong to take pay from the public purse to not do a job and leave the Duchies without representation. I will not leave my country without representation and I can only say this shows the need for multiple councillours per nation. However I am sure James Mizrachi-Roscoe will do a fantastic job as councillor for the nation if elected. I have talked to government they have committed to holding an emergency election within 2 months to cover the remainder of my term. I urge the parties who backed me to back my replacement candidate."
The devestating news means there will be an opening with the Moderate Party and Union of Democrats announcing they would back James Mizrachi-Roscoe with Liberals considering backing the supermarket titan. Other parties have yet to announce candidate support.

James Roscoe to replace Tobias Johnson Farage after existing votes
It has been announced James Mizrachi-Roscoe will replace Tobias Johnson Farage after all the current votes in the European Council are concluded. This process was formally confirmed by the a majority vote in the House of Duchies and Imperial Senate and signed off by High Duke Albert I. The move was done as Farage indicated he would need more time to go for treatment and he did not wish his health treatments schedule to affect the Duchies representation in the European Council. James Mizrachi -Roscoe in a statement said "I am ready , willing and able to serve my country in its time of need and I wish my good friend Tobias Johnson Farage a swift recovery and future in domestic politics in the future."The date of the election for Councillor was announced to be January 7th 2021 in order to allow time for campaigning by the candidates. Currently it has been confirmed with a 5th from New Dawn expected to run also. The field is expected to be competitive though James Roscoe is expected to make it to the second round of the election if not win in the first round.Pollsters have James Mizrachi-Roscoe as a favourite though surprises have happened in the past. Political experts have said Breanna Findlay or Kathrine Jones are most likely to make second round or beat James Mizrachi-Roscoe though Katherine Jones has fallen surprisingly flat in some polls. James is running as a "moderate candidate for all people of the Duchies" while Katherine Jones declared she would be the "candidate for people not corporations" and Breanna Findlay has said in a statement "I am running for the man who believes in Duchies values and is sick of globalism and liberal elites" .

Reitzmag sanctioned
Reitzmag today has been announced to be placed under sanctions from United Duchies with the country in talks with allies and Pravoslaviya after they passed the deadline to announce freezing of island construction and dredging. The countries government announced today that as of today it would be illegal for ships with Reitzmag on their schedule or Reitzmag cargo on board to use the Baltic Canal. Furthermore it would be illegal for railways and lorry freight companies to knowingly carry cargo containers from Reitzmag companies. The sanctions are intended to change the behaviour of what the government described as a "rogue government". The country has also said it is willing to increase sanctions should Reitzmag continue to ignore demands from Caspian nations to freeze development and come to international agreement and take part in process of forming a Caspian Council for all nations possibly excluding Dromund Kaas to manage Caspian affairs and resources of the Caspian jointly. The move is likely to cause significant financial harm to the Reitzmag economy. Copala City is also checking goods going through ports to ensure they do not end up in Reitzmag. The government has said the next stage will be seeking airspace bans to Reitzmag companies along with other Caspian countries and neighbours of Reitzmag . Experts say this would likely collapse the economy of Reitzmag with potential sanctions for doing business with Reitzmag businesses. The government have also called fo Copala City to gain independence or a long term lease for stability.THe government have announced that further sanctions will take place if an freeze on island building doesn't happen and negotiations aren't organised by 11th December. -

Reitzmag lying according to foreign ministryUnited Duchies foreign minister has called Reitzmag government liars as they claimed Inimicus and allies had been harassing Reitzmi fishermen. The government said in a statement " We are fully aware where Inimicus ships are , they are in join patrols with our navy and north Diessan in the EEZ of United Duchies and North Diessan in conjunction with our coast guards. The only fishermen being harassed are illegal fishers in our EEZ's that are a threat to fishing stocks in the Caspian. We call on Reitzmag to quit their lying and slander of Telum Treaty organisation member nation militaries and to stop their hyper agression and militarizing of the entire Caspian unless they once again want sanctions to apply which we assure Reitzmag will hurt them more than us. We do not want to do it but with the current crisis and lack of negotiation from Reitzmag we may have no choice."
