STATE VISIT | INQUISTA - NOFOAGA

Archbishop Mikaela Kligenberg was especially excited about her state visit to Nofoaga. The Archbishop walked around the cabin of her pink jet rather restlessly, eager for her jet to begin its descent to Port Beauharnais below. The Archbishop had been hoping to visit Nofoaga for a long time, and now that it was December, there was no better time to enjoy the tropical climate of the beautiful Caribbean island while most of Europe was experiencing wintery misery. Mikaela was excited to catch some UV rays, work on her tan, and make the most of the tropical weather.
Mikaela was also excited to flaunt the light blue dress that she was wearing, which she had bought several months ago just for this very occasion. The dress was pastel light blue, in honour of the flag of Nofoaga, and it was decorated with a brooch of a golden turtle. The Archbishop, in her own words, described President Lula Namatatiki as "an icon of both fashion and politics" and has long held the belief that "it doesn't count as authoritarianism if you look beautiful doing it", and so she was keen about the prospect of making a good impression with the Nofoagan President.
The golden turtle brooch was a gift from Inquista's Councillor, Edward Firoux, who is very dedicated to ensuring the good welfare of Nofoaga's famous turtles, and he was very vocal in his support of the Nofoagan government's decision to ban cruise ships from coming to the island. Firoux was saddened that he could not join the Archbishop on her trip, but he provided the Archbishop with the brooch in order to show his support.
Soon enough, the jet began its descent to Port Beauharnais. After a very smooth and faultless landing, the Archbishop departed from the plane and exited outside. The Archbishop was immediately greeted by warmth and vast sunshine, and she smiled as she breathed in the humid and salty tropical air. The Archbishop was escorted by a security detail to a nearby vehicle, which was going to transport her to the site of the meeting with President Namatatiki.
While in the car, the Archbishop opened up Twitter on her phone and updated herself with the latest events from Nofoaga. President Namatatiki had recently won re-election as the country's president, which Mikaela was very happy about, and so she was quite ecstatic about reading all the latest election news. Mikaela also attempted to brush up on her Nofoaganese language skills. The Archbishop noticed that her driver appeared to be Nofoaganese, and so she attempted to practice with him.
"Ratatonga tiki rikitaka ta ta," the Arcbishop began, muttering complete jibberish, before continuing, "aita tonga manhiki puka fana na."
The driver appeared to be very amused by the Archbishop's nonsense, and could barely contain his laughter. Eventually, the driver politely responded, in English, "Ma'am, I don't know when the goats went to the library. I'm sorry."
Mikaela looked out of her window with disappointment, and instead studied the vibrancy and island beauty of Nofoaga. After several minutes, the car arrived at the meeting destination, and the Archbishop climbed out of the vehicle.

Lula Namatatiki, who had just been re-elected president of Nofoaga, was a little nervous about the visit of Archbishop Mikaela of Inquista. The two stateswomen had never met.
The weather on the Caribbean island was mild. A pleasant temperature with a soft cooling sea breeze. This state visit was not only important for the president, but the population also saw the importance of this. Numerous groups of people lined the connecting road between Port-Beauharnais International Airport and Port Beauharnais itself, carrying Inquista flags that they made themselves.
Archbishop Mikaela's car pulled into the square in front of the presidential palace and stopped. Two large flagpoles caught the attention of every passer-by. The flag of Inquista and the flag of Nofoaga flew together and side by side. As the door of the car opened and Mikaela got out, President Namatatiki met her.
"Aaah, My dear Mikaela... Welcome to Nofoaga. Me, my cabinet and all nofoaganese are delighted with your visit to our country," She spoke enthusiastically as she grabbed Mikaela by the shoulders and gave 3 kisses on the cheek. "You are beautiful..."she said with a proud smile.
Meanwhile, the music band of the Nofoaganese police began to play marching music. To the beat of the drums and trumpets, the Archbishop and the President stepped side by side towards the podium. Already this image of two strong women was iconic.
When the two ladies had taken their seats, a microphone sounded: "Ladies and gentlemen, please stand up for the national anthems of the Most Blessed State of Inquista and the Republic of Nofoaga".

Mikaela enthusiastically greeted the President and exchanged her kisses on the cheek. "It's my pleasure and honour to be here. I look beautiful? Look at you! You're stunning, radiant, elegant... you practically invented beauty standards. You've set the bar so high, I've practically pulled my back muscles trying to reach it."
The Archbishop stood at attention as the anthems of Inquista and Nofoaga played. Mikaela couldn't help but notice that members of the press were taking many pictures of President Namatatiki and herself as they stood side-by-side. After the anthems were finished, Mikaela smiled and turned to the President.
"It's such a pleasant day! Nofoaga is so pretty, I think I could get used to this. Anyway, I just wanted to start by congratulating you on your recent re-election as president."
Mikaela then lowered her voice, whispering very softly to ensure that nobody but the President could hear her. "Now that they've lost, will Charles Natutiki or Patricia Monserré be getting the uh... 'the N'nago treatment'? If that's the case, I also have some ex-boyfriends that I'd like to see taken care of. It'd also be a real shame if Corinna zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn met a similar fate..."
-
"You make me blush with your compliments Mikaela" Lula said with a pretended embarrassment. "And thank you for your wishes. I'll do anything to improve this nation" she continued.
The president confirmed the archbishop: "Indeed. Nofoaga is a beautiful country. And we are working hard to make it a little more paradise every day..."
The president lowered her voice and placed her mouth close to Mikaela's ear, saying: "Mikaela... doen't worry. You shouldn't believe the media and various allegations. I respect the separation of powers. Even if something happens." And she winked at the archbishop.

Mikaela smiled and then laughed softly. "Of course, of course," the Archbishop agreed. The Archbishop then turned to the President and tilted her head, eagerly awaiting for the next step of the state visit.
