Rally Inquista:
The rally was well attended in the quest for support by Leeson ,he was confident as the only candidate backed by the EPA though he was aware it wasn't foregone. He feared what would happen if the syndicates candidate won. He understood the need for a more parcipatory Europe but the Syndicates approach awas anti-business , something that would never ever work especially if they wanted the DU and others on board. Something needed to be done to bring all together. He went out as the song Work Together played
He then launched into the speech in front of the podium Making Europe work for all
The speech started:
"Fellow Europeans we stand on the precipice of the most important commissioner election ever, never has such hope and such challenges been at such a crossroads. This is literally a moment for the EU to come together or fall apart , there is no middle ground we are in survival. I today proudly stand for the EU and an even greater future making the EU work for all.To achieve this we need to win and how will we win? We need all countries on board including countries like Angleter, Reitzmag and Duxubaron Union and our members who need more help like Nofoagoa a fine country who's potential is so great. But this will only work if we all work together. My first job as premier would be calling all nations leaders to invite them to have input on a new even greater democratic future a future that balances sovreignty and democracy. EACA needs reform not scrapping , we need democracy but I understand all systems need to be considered , same with the green new deal , each countries path will be different yet we should have the targets and co-operation.
I today unashamedly call for more sovreignty for nations while also unifying and helping our less wealthy members so we can all share in a joint common prosperity . A prosperity for workers and business where we have input from business and workers unions , where employees have a stake in their business but also the owners its not an either/or just as the Duchies has shown with its model of participatory cappitalism which should spread through a robust mix of a free market and workers protections. There is no need for radical leftist Berism yet no need for laissez faire we must meet in the middle and defeat both dangers . Workers and business working together, private and government working together for the good of society and I will achieve this with my plan.
Essential for a European future together is democracy working for all , we must have multiple members per country to allow democracy but also allow governments strong input we need a talk on how to achieve this and if EACA has to be replaced so be it that will be what needs to happen. We need a new deal protecting all including minorities in culture and ethnicity , we cannot go on divided and I will not let us go on divided. We will work together on the big common big picture items like climate , pandemics , emergency response , europe wide organised crime and forest fires for example while allowing tailored approaches for countries. The EU's should set goals not a rigid structure.
Also essential is making the continent equal for all we need for funds for nations like Nofoagoa and Pravoslaviya to develop with help from richer members in a form of a joint development fund to help our poorer members, its intolerable in union such as ours we are allowing poverty to continue this must change. We need infrastructure and poverty relieve at an EU led level. Will this cost money like Eurorail does yes but it also will benefit us by opening up more and more markets a wealthier EU is a better EU for all and I will lay the foundations for a wealthier EU. We need a long term revolution with the fire starting now.
Now onto the average joes they need protection and companies need certainty. No more should we have different standards for every country on safety , trade pricing and access , we need consistent free mobile roaming, consumer protections but also easy to understand common sense safety and consumer standards. What will this look like I'll be honest I don't know because I am one person, I will find out by working with the IAC and countries leaders to come up with sets of standards good for all including on environmental targets.
I pledge to continue Junckers work, Eurorail will expand and the environmental plan will happen. We will defeat the scurge of plastic waste and carbon emissions and I will look at going for a target of 2040 for more developed nations with EU support for all nations to decarbonise. This will temporarily be more expensive up front but I can assure you if we fail to act to keep within 1.5 celsius we will pay a far steeper economic price and its the poorest who will pay , that is not tolerable.
So when you vote , vote for a future for all , to make Europe work for all , there is no other way and Berrism, Trimpovism or Winstonism is not the answer we need a new radical centrist vision for Europe that is for workers and business owners, rich countries and poorer countries a vision that works for all Europeans. However we must especially oppose Berrism and Trimpovism there is no room for far leftism or a nationalist populist future for Europe if we want to solve our issues.
Thank you very much! A long may Europe live on together!"

Consultation on European Council Pledge
If elected Premier I pledge as part of consultation on reform or replacement of EACA to consult nations on the following issues:
1:Increasing councillours per nation to at least 3 councillours
2:Allowing nations to have either parliament elect the councillours or population elect them by any voting system in order to allow nations how to choose their councillours and who elects them. I would also consult on allowing any voting system to be used for popular election.
3:Allowing of mix of appointed and elected councillours on the council, I believe the EU has been too inflexible on this issue. It is clear EACA is an issue and needs either serious reform or replacement in order to ease all nations issues with EACA. We cannot afford to have an undemocratic council but also we cannot risk resentment leading to repeal of EACA without a replacement that is why a consultation would be launched on week 1 of my premiership if elected. Reform is needed.I will work with James Mizrachi-Roscoe and others closely on this issue if elected. -
Rally -Glocal Europe
"Fellow Europeans I have been painted in some quarters as some sort of ardent European integrationist intent on dissolving the nationstate. I assure you this is the not the case. I believe all nations should for example decide their own social issues rather than the EU beyond basic rights its not the remit of the EU for example to decide LGBT adoption or drugs policy though I am personally liberal on these issues.
Furthermore I believe we need get away from central setting of policy approach on things like the Green new deal. I would like a more balanced a approach I call Glocalism to be embraced by the EU. This would mean the EU would set a target on an issue jointly agreed by nations then each nation would be helped and encouraged to reach it in their own way. For example the Duchies is banning internal flights and trying to discourage flying where rail is an option but this wouldn't work for Alkharya or the DU where size or location is an issue so we acknowledge this , we would simply say 2040 is the target , heres development money to help reach the target now reach it, if they want help we would offer it willingly , if they want to implement a voluntary joint EU project then we'd accomodate,
Furthermore on trade integration I believe in the idea of a single market for the EU with companies able to operate in any EU country to open up competition to benefit all nations and reduce cost of goods through a lack of tariffs in the EU having said this we should allow protection of key industries in this system. This will benefit the poorest since goods becoming cheaper benefits the working class the most with government taxation getting out of the way but this will be more effective if there is a n EU standard on safety and basic interoperability so somethin designed and made in Reitzmag can be sold in Fremet for example. Of course nations should have control on exceeding EU green standards if they so desire , this is essential for climate change and the environment. However labour rights like minimum wage and holidays should be left in the nation states realm this is not an area for the EU to intervene , this is a nationstate decision. The EU should be there for working together on big picture projects like supergrids for green electricity, Eurorail ,Europol , joint issues like climate change and green policy and to meet these it should also involve nations and experts more be it the people or governments with closer collaboration with reform of the constitution and reform or replacement of EACA to better meet and balance the needs of sovreignty and democracy. We should discuss allowing countries to choose whatever voting system for their councillour including election by representitives , what matters is there is a level of democracy not a prescriptive type, countries should choose their voting system and their should be a variety of views on the council this means we need more representitives per nation preferably at least 3 to allow a real choice of systems to elect them which would increase sovreignty .
Finally each nation should get help with development from the EU with poorer nations getting more support. We desperately need support so poorer nations get their transitions to green economies paid for without having to take money from anti-poverty programmes , countries like the Union of Syndicates, Nofoagoa and Pravoslaviya , why should they bear the ful cost of green development with lower gdp per capitas. We should assist them as wealthier nations in the EU give to a fund to help them. We need European solidarity. I hope you see the benefits of glocalism and how its not an EU takeover of your sovereignty. We can have more EU working together without losing sovreignty and we don't have to go to the extremities of stripping the EU of power if we do so we only harm ourselves the long run as it becomes impossible to meet the big global challenges of our world. We need the europe wide forum for European issues.
Thank you. "

Statement from Leeson
I would like to thank Mr Berre for his apology. I may not agree with his politics or personal positions but I respect him as a human being. He is an inspiration for his rising from being a victim of tyranny to a person willing to put his neck out for his beliefs. I find this inspiring as do no doubt many others. Despite fighting talk on the campaign trail it is just that campaigning , I have never had anything against Mr Berre personally. In fact in recognition of all of our candidates public service record I offer to go volunteering with both Cocx and Le Berre to a charity cause helping those in need.I hope we can show our unity and love for Europe.
Onto suggestions that I would like to steal sovereignty from nations this is not true. The whole point of glocalism is that targets and policies are agreed at EU level but then to reach them nations can meet them in any way they wish so as to fit into local cultures and laws . I accept a solution in one country may not work in another and hence support supporting individual countries to meet targets in their own way. Under a Leeson premiership your nation would be able to decide its own laws and can assure you I would fight for that. I hope this statement clarifies a few issues.
