      European Fair Trade Alliance
      alt text
EFTA is an organisation that supports a fair trading scheme for all in Europe. We believe all European workers and suppliers should be able to earn a fair living wage and income, that workers should have a say in their work place and that companies should look after their community environment that is why all members must take the fair trading pledge:
1:All members must pay a national living wage enough to own and run a 3 bedroom flat, a car(or public transport pass for family)and provide food and a domestic holiday a year for 2 adults and 2 kids on 2 wages for workers working 35 hours per week.
2:All goods from outside of Europe sold in members stores or used in members products should be fair trade where possible and all suppliers should meet the fair trade code within Europe unless there is not alternative product that is fair trade code compliant.
3:Packaging should be at least 95% recyclable
4:5% of profits must got to charity after tax
5:Workers representitives must make up at least 33% of the Corporate Board with union representation if possible
6:All members must sign up to a code promising to aid disabled and neurodivergent in the the workplace and recruitment process.
7:To reduce to net zero emissions by 2040 either through reductions in emissions or carbon offsetting if this is not possible

      The benefits of joining:
1:Increased business as people choose you for your good ethical values
2:Increased labour productivity , satisfaction and reduction in staff turnover reduce costs and therefore increase profitability
3:Increased reputation in community reduce chance of backlash in case of mistakes at the business
4:Pride that you are changing the world 1 sale at a time
