Green Tractor Scheme is your assured standard from Strathae that you are buying the best food from vegetarian sources. This standard means no harm to animals used to provide your dairy , eggs and wool with low stocking density densities, ban on anti-biotics use and harmful human made pesticides and chemicals. Though GMO's designed to reduced water use use of fertiliser and pesticide may fall under the Organic standards of Green Tractor Strathae Approved. The shceme also investigates farms abroad if they wish to register under the standard for import to Strathae for premium prices.
Stocking densities for animals:
Poultry and Chicken:1000 per hectare
Cows:1.5 per hectare
Sheep:3 per hectare
Goats:3 per hectareTo be a green tractor farm 25% of farmland must be set aside for wildlife including hedges.
