The Queen of Montenbourg at the Nofoaga Presidential Residence LawnThe Queen of Montenbourg directed a message at the @Nofoaga presidential lawn. Here’s the rush MBC Newsmakers transcript of the speech at the Lawn of the Presidential Residence this evening:
*"During my visit, I have the honor of addressing this a friend country, where I hope as a sister of this country to offer words of encouragement to those who are to guide the nation’s political future, in fidelity to its founding basis. After the disastrous events caused by the horrendous eruption in this soil, my country lend a helping hand to our brothers and sisters under a housing project in Tuagavale as part of the Nofoaga Islands reconstruction plan. Because there is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about, and we care about our brothers and sisters of Nofoaga.
My sister, Her Majesty's Ambassador to Nofoaga Islands Her Royal Highness The Princess Catherine has stood on the ongoing efforts of reconstruction, as formal sign of Montenbourgian help in Nofoagan soil. And we stand by that promise.
And today I also want to address a situation that affects the lives of the boys and girls who live near this mangroves that Climate Change has affected their livelihoods, no nation can solve this crisis on our own we need to work together. This is a moral imperative, not an economic imperative. Today My Government is expanding its foreign aid to the movement: "Protect Nofoaga Against Climat Change" by contributing 12Millon EMUs to this cause allocating this funds in helping this families and the nofoagan government.
And yes, In every community, there is work to be done. In every nation, there are wounds to heal. In every heart, there is the power to do it. I see with sad eyes the division and hatred caused by some mismanagement of this beautiful Island, but It has been my great pleasure to have met with President Jaques Salé .
Thank you again, Mr. President, for inviting me to visit Port Beauharnais. You're a close and good friend of the Kingdom; a leader dedicated to freedom, democracy, and peace; Mr. President, together we should never fear our citizens. I believe they are committed to building a society which is truly tolerant and inclusive to safeguarding the rights of individuals and communities, and to reject in every form of injustice and discrimination.
President Salé has been a driving force throughout his country's democratic development. In 1995 he led democracy's return to Nofoaga after years of uncertainty and turmoil. Indeed, he is, in many ways, the father of Nofoagan democracy. It's a great honor to be here. The Kingdom of Montenbourg and Nofoaga have enjoyed very close and warm relations. Our meeting today reflected the important historical, cultural, political, and economic ties that bind our two countries. We discussed the economic problems that face us and examined possible solutions as the aids hereby presented.
Humanity has the ability to all together in building our common home. As Montenbourgians inspired by this, we wish to commit ourselves to the conscious and responsible care of our common home.
My Government will continue to be a close source of friendship to the Nofoganese people and a standpoint for future generations in their fight against this climate crisis. Thank you, God Bless Europe!"*
