Solei Levant (Fontaine - United Duchies summit)
-
The PM John Peter Key and Foreign Minister Aaron Scott took off in their Wow Air and Jet Purple flights to Fontaine. They were fortunate that the flights were now taking off from Duchies following the big crash and closure of air space but fortunately the air space was open again now.
The PM arrived at the airport in Fontaine first with Aaron Scottt arriving 30 minutes later. They looked forward to meeting the leaders.

3:45 PM
The Prince and The Minister would exchange handshakes with their honoured guests and lead them to the summit room, having a little conversation on the way there.
'On behalf of the people of Fontaine and His Majesty Monette, I would like to welcome you to the KoF. It is such an honour to have you here. I hope this summit will lead to wealth and prosperity in both of our nations' - said the Prince.
-
Johh Peter Key replied "Why thank you, I must say my last visit as a tourist was a little less well grand but I saw the beautiful palaces and cities." Aaron Scott also greeted the minister. They bowed to the prince as was tradition out of respect for royalty of other countries. They looked forward to the summit, this was looking like a very positive summit and alot of progress had been made in pre-visit negotiations.

4:00 PM
The prince would take the stage for about 7 minutes, giving a little speech, touching on topics such as the economic potential between two nations, diplomatic relations and investments before giving the stage to the guests.
-
The Prime Minister John Peter Key took to the stage. He started his speech :
Fellow Europeans, we come together today not as Duchians or Fontainians but fellow Europeans and two nations united in one pursuit , that of peace and cooperation. We have many areas where we can move forward and prosper together. Those of education, cultural exchange via tourism and education exchanges , working together to create a better economy for all reducing barriers of trade while fighting economic exploitation together and working together to fight the enemies of civillisation and democracy through counter-terrorism and extremism. These are areas we believe working united is best and we will be working on those issues and discussing them at this summit.I want to thank His Majesty and His Government for their kind welcome but also that of their people, the beautiful people at security and those who so kindly drove us here. You may think you are not important but without you people like the His Majesty , his government and I would not be able to do what we do. Thank you for your kind welcome and warm hospitality. "
Aaron Scott then took the podium "I don't think there is much more I can add but I look forward to a bright future together as friends and allies fighting common issues on security, on prosperity and fighting crucial issues such as climate change through co-operation and friendship. I thank all today who have greeted us so kindly, you have shown your country in the very best light."

4:45 PM
The crown prince smiled, seeing the true potential between the two nations as he listens to the Duchian PM's speech. After the speeches, the summit would go on according to the procedures, introducing the guests to the local investors and business owners.
After that, the press and the attendees would start leaving slowly as the first part of the summit is over. The Minister would lead them towards the private meeting room in the west wing for a closed-door meeting (Meaning that, canonically, no one apart from these 4 people would know a thing about the topics that they touched on.)
-
John Peter Key and Aaron Scott made their way to the meeting room for the private meeting. They were looking forward to a positive discussion. John Peter Key opened saying "Thank you for your welcome and the chance to meet with all the businessmen it was helpful indeed. On that note I'd like to talk trade first if thats okay I think you already know you are in a key position for us and many others with the taxes the other side of the strait so we have a proposal thats two fold, we'd like to have tariff free trade on goods between our nations to benefit both our nations with companies having right to set up subsidiaries in each others countries with equal protection to local companies in each country. We think this is a fair way to do business between each other and is our standard procedure in the Duchies but more specifically with you we want to offer investment into your ports to develop freeport zones, your ports could become a transfer zone and refuelling station for ships going into the mediteranean and Inquista from around Europe with investment. It would benefit us in terms of cutting costs but also you with revenue. You could really utilise your tax free seas status on your side of the strait and if any issues arise like they did with Yosai we'd obviously back your water claims as they are fair requests to have half the channel. You can rely on us for diplomatic support."
-
The prince would be seen nodding his head gently as the PM proposed his plans for free trade, investments and subsidies. These are music to his ears. "Of course of course. It would be lovely to work with Duchies since it is for the good of our nations."
But then, comes the matter of strait taxation and free ports. The prince would approach that matter in a rather cautious stance as this could become a much-heated topic, considering the current world politics. "Monsieur Key, I couldn't agree more about our economical potential between our nations. You are always welcome to come here and do investments. Free trade is more than acceptable too. But.. about the strait taxation and free ports. We will have to work it through our parliament. So, please allow me to postpone the decision. It might be indefinite, but I can reassure you that it is worth a wait. After all... we are doing business, aren't we?"
-
John Peter Key replied of "Of course , we know its a big issue so we understand if you consult parliament on such a big issue. On trade still in regards to tourism we propose up to 60 day tourist visa for each of of citizens in order to increase travel between our countries , after all you have so much to see and offer to our tourists and us to yours. Especially if we have sleeper trains and high speed Eurorail reach you from us in the future through the tunnel in the Mediterranean. through negotiation with Hellas. We could also cooperate on joint research projects between our universities and each others businesses to boost our economies potential as well as have education exchanges for our nations students to give each the option to study in our respective countries. What do you think?"
