Its the aim of every follow of the Nek Aastha to follow the nek tareeke or noble ways in life to be on the nobleble path or nek raasta.

They have the 8 tennets of the religion:
1:One must be at one with the creation and respect it
2:One must be good to others showing hospitality
3:One must not show grudges, it is up to God to avenge

The tennets apply to all parts of daily life. There is also an established hierarchy of castes within the religion:

      Saudaagar (Merchant)
      Nakaurdil(Servant Heart)
Log Gandagee (People of the Dirt)

Temples are often segregated. Marriage between castes is discouraged especially at the lower end of the cast system. The Log gandagee are banned from all other temples and only the Pujaaree and Kuleen ones can enter all temples. It is said that the God’s decided your role and caste and one should be content with what one has in life.

When one can afford it they are required to give 5-15% of their income to their temple depending on wealth.

      Offerings:
The people offer offerings to the Gods to thank them for their goodness and kindness and to show their devotion. Most follow the god of their profession which means multiple Gods can be followed in the same household.
