Statement - On the Strait of Gibraltar
Over the past few hours, the possibility of an active military conflict in the Strait of Gibraltar has increased exponentially. Both Yosai's decision to send an armed convoy through the Strait and Spain's threats of retaliation seem doomed to end in violence.
I was elected to work for peace; I see it as my sacred mandate to do so. I ask that all parties involved immediately rule out the use of their militaries, and hope that they are able to come to a table to find a peaceful and mutually beneficial solution to their grievances. I offer my own mediation, if necessary to rule out the possibility of war.
For the sake of the Spanish and Yosainese peoples, for the sake of this Union, there can be no return to the geopolitical doctrines of the 1800s, can be no legitimization of force and war as solutions to international dispute. I appeal to the senses of Prime Ministers Juncker and Watanbe - do not sacrifice the lives of innocent people over this Strait, do not endanger the future of peace in Europe.

Statement - Creation of the Wall of Shame
As I promised, I have commissioned a Wall of Shame for the European Council. Now it is finally complete.
What is the Wall of Shame? It is a large screen, like a billboard, on which the images and names of Councillors who say ridiculous things are to be projected alongside a description of their offense. Right now, however, it shows only a live feed of people's public comments on the European Commission App, as there are now no Councillors who are bad. This feed will keep stay up until some Councillor decides to be silly.
