Exotic Food restrictions passed

Hampton City, April 5 2022 | A new act restricting the exploitation, consumption, or trading of certain exotic foods have been passed. The new act, finally received Royal Assent yesterday after grueling debates in the Commons chamber last month. In compliance with the act, all industries such as restaurants and fishermen are required to stop the catching and cooking of endangered animals such as sharks. All sharksfins being imported to the country are also to stop immediately and that a timeframe of 1 month has been given for all remaining restricted exotic foods to be removed from stock through any means. The move was praised by various environmental organizations and celebrated by the Green Party who proposed the act. Despite this, traditionalists who ate exotic foods as part of their daily diet opposed the move calling the government to repeal the act or provide exemptions.
