Duchies companies change board make ups in advance of 50% Workers Rep law change
Duchies companies and duchies subsidiaries over 250 employees have been changing board structures to increase the amount of directors on the boards or reduce the amount of shareholders directors in order to make way for the 50% Workers or Union representatives soon to be required by law up from the current 33% of the board. Many companies have decided it is better to act in advance rather than wait for the law change and are arranging elections for the union and worker reps. Roscoes are among those changing the board make up before the legal change. Most companies do not want to be the last to do so as it might imply to some they only did the change because the law forced them to.

The reform will be the biggest reform in a generation with it being described by unions as a "revolutionary step towards workers having more say in their businesses and ensuring workers cannot be screwed over by multinationals and big business." Critics of the change have said the move gives workers too much power and undermines shareholders rights.
