The Reitzmic Armed Forces had to leave the UoS after successfully repatriating all Reitzmic Citizens from the area. Although, there were soldiers and civilians killed and some of them kidnapped by the terrorists. Simon can't let the terrorists just do that to the troops and the people. He had to do something.

"Send a private communique to the government of the Union of Syndicates. Tell them that we're launching a series of airstrikes on terrorist bases. I will appear live on TV later to tell these terrorists that they will suffer if they do not release our people." he commanded fiercely.

The private communique was sent to the government of the UoS telling them to prepare and ensure that there will be minimal civilian casualties in the series of air strikes. Later on, Simon appeared in a live stream through CBC News.
