After 11 years of civil war, the federation finally receives its first political representatives of the United Duchies, as the first politicians to visit the nation in more than 12 years, their visit marks a special moment of reconnection with the rest of europe, their visit also excites Aetherian officials once they were informed that the visit will be focused on the discussion of trade and cooperation between both nations.

With the delegation of the United Duchies being one of the first to visit the nation, many economists theorize that they may receive a favorable offer for the many reconstruction projects that the govermment has been planning to release.

Although the cold winter of the federation gives a cold reception to UD representatives, the reception committee differs with a warm welcome and a tour of the city of Velkia.

The Political System of The Nation
The Federal Council: Composed by the 5 Governors from each state, which the President role rotates every year between the 5 members. The President, the senior member of the council, has powers which are largely ceremonial following a primus inter pares (first among equals) role.
The order in which the Presidential role rotates follows as:

-Kallail
After this 5 year period, elections start again in each palatinate.

Brief Nation Description: A federation who just recuperated from a 10 year long civil war and has joined the EU in hopes of reconnecting with europe and the world market, with its biggest industry being the arms industry, the country is trying to diversify it's economy.

With a smile on his face the president laughed:
"Hahaha I'm sorry President Aguilar, the excitement of visiting a new country distracted me from my duties, I was excited to think about taking a tour, but as my partner rodrigo told me."

"A little silly of me wanting to explore the city I must admit, but about the train I must admit that in Aether it is a little different but even so it was an amazing tour and when you visit Aether you will have an unforgettable tour. But back to business Defense Minister Rodrigo, can you start the presentation?"
"Yes sir, after a long analysis of military bases and possible construction sites we have concluded 19 sites across the country but first we need to know the size of the fleet and if the fleet will have submarines or not we can confirm the costs of allocating the fleet and the location of the new naval base."
"Also president aguilar i would like to offer you three alternatives so that in case of the allocation cost get high we will cover it if the Spanish government support us in other areas, one of them is the Aetherian Nuclear Program a program focused on transforming the country's on a 100% Nuclear powered nation until 2025.
The second alternative is a program known as the S system or SENI(Sistema de Educação Nacional Industrial) a program focused on education to help more people enter the industries such as Arms, Cars and many others to help develop industrial areas of the country.
And the last alternative is a arms research agreement, after our civil war many of our military equipment got behind in the arms race so receiving some support on development of new military equipment would be of great help."

A Exciting Trip
"Ready to go Rodrigo?"

"I'm a little nervous mr.president it's such a huge step to reconnect the country to the world"
Exclaimed the defense minister
"Although we are nervous we most have courage this is a important time in our country history now let's go! I want to have a tour before going into serious talks."
Said the president entering the presidential plane.
While the plane took off many news medias around the country exclaimed the importance of the president visit to Spain.
The presidential plane is escorted by two Sk-17 fighter jets and was left alone after arriving in international waters.

After reaching madrid the president and minister manage to get themselves lost in the Adolfo Suárez, Barajas international airport after stopping to eat in a small restaurant. But after a few hours they were found by their security escorts and got picked up by a motorcade that drove the president and minister to the Palacio de la Moncloa.

The most exciting welcome in the nation.

For the first time since the civil war, a high-ranking politician visits the country. Much of the nation was excited and their eyes glazed over the live broadcasts from Velkia. With the President João Vitor personally awaiting the Prime Minister of the United Duchies, John Peter Key and the Minister Aaron Scott. The President got noticed of their arrival at evening and immediately met them at the Velkia National Airport.
-Prime minister John Peter! Foreign minister Aaron Scott! You two can't imagine the joy that the country feels receiving you two, for you two this may look as a normal summit it's very important for the federation! We are being able to finally reconnect with the world after such horrible war. Today you two will have the best of Velkia and Aether! Tomorrow rest assured that we will talk about Econ!
Even before the ministers could talk they were taken by the president to the most lavish restaurant in the city
-A casa do porco it's best restaurant in the city, I'm sure that you two will satisfied with the culinary.
After a lavish dinner the prime minister said:

• This dinner was one of the best I had on my entire life.
  The foreign minister responded:
• I would say the same but my wife would kill me Hahahaha
  -I believe that we are ready to go to our hotel mr.president.
  Said the prime minister.
• Ok you will be staying at the St. Humbertos Hotel, the best of the country. You will be taken by security, I unfortunately have to go meet with other government officials. I to have say again thank you for visiting our nation.
  With that the Prime minister and foreign minister were taken to their hotel excited to see that president João Vitor showed heavy enthusiasm about the Econ treaty.

Remember the Tragedy

• Aetherian Civil war
  After 5 years of war both sides were eyeing the capital Aetheria, the last remnants of the old government where there trying to still reunite the country.
  Both radicalist sides of the war where preparing for a battle for the capital.
  For over 2 months the city saw death, destruction and suffering but in 13/01/2006 the biggest catastrophe possible, happened.
  The P.S.A. faction who fought against the remnants and the A.D.G managed to reactivate the old missile silos in the central regions and ordered a massive bombardment over the capital, 27 Cruise missiles hit the city, annihilating any resistance and destroying the city to a unimaginable point.
  A city, home to over 1 million people destroyed… 100 thousand people died with the bombardment, the biggest ports in the city destroyed, building collapsed, airports totally lost, roads cracked.
  After the destruction all became worst with the biggest ports and airports destroyed a great famine took over the country in the middle of the winter, Velkia although the second biggest city didn't have the capability to receive big amounts of humanitarian aid, while controlled by the A.D.G.
  People suffered for more two years, battles over the farm fields happened, only to leave scorched land everywhere.
  The Ex-capital to this day is abandoned, the last time of the civil war is remembered has the “O inferno na Terra" (Hell over Earth)
  -Everything happened so fast... in a moment there were shots, explosions, screams... I was hiding in the basement of my house, when the first missile fell everything changed, the shots stopped, the screams stopped, the only thing that was possible heard was the deafening sound of explosions. I don't even know how long it lasted but it seemed like an eternity... after the bombing there was only silence, it felt like the world ended, after almost 3 hours I had the courage to leave the house and I felt that it was really the end of the world. A gray fog ravaged the city, everything around me was destroyed houses, buildings even the streets were destroyed. Looking for a way out of this hell I came across a square full of bodies, both civilians and soldiers, the soldiers who hadn't died couldn't stop screaming, begging to die... begging to get out of the hell they had just entered... at that moment I was sure that the p.s.a. I didn't believe in god but followed the devil... after leaving that mass grave I ran, I ran without stopping to my mother's house, looking for my daughters, but...

• No, let's continue the streets were deserted but I don't know why but I felt that something was wrong I felt the need to get to my mother's house as soon as possible, until I saw a column of smoke in the distance and I ran, I ran to my lungs started to burn, my legs weakened from so much fatigue but when I arrived.... my world was over, the house on fire with a single sign... "sinners deserve to burn" that day I lost two daughters and my mother. Today I have nothing.

Aether Federation joins the EU
26/08/22
Today the Aether Federation was accepted into the European Union. The news caused celebrations all over the country, with the people celebrating the membership, with government official's happy and enthusiastic about the membership, but also expressing concern about adapting to new regulations, legislations but are are confident that they will receive assistance from their new partners in the Union.

The day ended with a speech by the president to the nation. -Today is a new day for our country, we are taking a new step towards a future of peace and prosperity for all of us and even if some are afraid of future challenges we must have courage and determination to overcome these new barriers. Today is a new day in the history of the federation!
