Motion of ERF Deployment in Itskalen
-
Colleague,
Let me say first that I regret your reaction. I can assure you and the whole of this council that my vote is anything but random. You will always see me, ladies and gentlemen, on the side of security and democracy.
Yes, my colleague, I voted in favour of this motion in a first session. And yes, I also voted in favour of the repeal of the voted motion. Why? Because this council is dealing in a shameful way with the situation in Istkalen and its interaction with the J-TAI. It is shameful and shameful that some here seem to deny or justify the situation. It is shameful and a disgrace of the European Council that we have to have lengthy debates over and over again about violating the European values that we all support. It is a shame that member states that stand up for democracy and the protection of rights and peace for every European citizen are being pushed into a corner and branded a bogeyman.
And I like to hear you say it, Mr. Odhinazen. Nothing has fundamentally changed in the Istcalen. You can call it a problem, but it is we, the council, or, in any case, for our colleagues, that is not the situation, looking to profit from this miserable situation in a member state, or of those who are opposed to the implementation of this resolution, to provide for the status quo. So, yes, my colleague, nothing has changed. That is why I voted in favour of the repeal of this motion, for having this debate again and finally taking action.
Colleague Granger... Full support and I hope we will be followed.
Mrs. Paul-Gabrielle Muzhare
EU Councilor for the Republic of Nofoaga -
I severely doubt that the J-TAI has an ounce of good intention in anything that it does, given that it appears only to act as to destabilize the country.
As for what has changed in Istkalen, Councillor Zatoni, it is the expulsion of a foreign official, as well as the fact that hysteria in the country has reached new levels.
The situation is evidently untenable, and action must be taken by this Council as to rectify this.
However, there is presently a no-fly zone over Istkalen, which evidently would hamper the entry of the ERF; at the same time, Reitzmag and Vayinaod, responsible for its implementation, and the only two countries likely to respond to a request for entry, will likely not allow it to enter.
I support this fully; the hysteria in Istkalen must end and a stable democracy must be established; however, because of the present situation in the country, I feel as though this would be but a waste.
Iras Tilkanas
Councillor for the Republic of Istkalen, under Liros Ikomar -
I will begin by saying what everybody would like to ignore or forget but which must nevertheless be stated, namely that Istkalen have sustained a total and unmitigated defeat, based on their erros and yes, Istkalen has suffered even more than we have; they have surrendered, they neeed our help ….the Reitzmic dictator, instead of snatching the victuals from the table, has been content to have them served to him course by course. Like the Caspian Sea situation, and the Copalaian status.
The power of the so call JTAI, were only Reitzmag is the sole director, is a facade; Lets call this of what it is a full invasion and part-annexation from Reitzmag to Istkalen.
Councillor Muzhare and Tilkanas we are onward on this together, following our European principles.
Mr. Speaker, we must recover order and democratic principles in the region. This motion is not on the base of an appeasement theory, as we are seen other countries acting like one, but on things I and millions like me were brought up with a principle to follow in our constitution and the preservation of common sense. We need to put an ultimatum to Reitzmag and its expansionist policies in the region. If this motion needs any amendent lets do it together.
The ERF is needed to call a withdrawal of Reitzmic armed forces from territories occupied in the recent conflict; and a termination of all claims or states of belligerency and respect for and acknowledgment of the sovereignty, territorial integrity and political independence of every State in the area and their right to live in peace within secure and recognized boundaries free from threats or acts of force.
Emma Granger
Councillor for Montenbourg -
Debate on this will continue until 16:41 GMT on May 31st, 2021.
Donald Tusk
Deputy Speaker and Councillor for Spain -
As I see my fellow Colleagues are engaging in meaningless rhetoric and virtue signaling as opposed to actually addressing my questions, I will refrain from asking future questions as doing such will be futile. Ladies and gentlemen, this is what the EPA has brought to this council.
Tony Odhinazen
EU Councilor, Ruthund -
Unfortunately, upon review of the law regarding such deployments, this does not appear to be legal.
Iras Tilkanas
Councillor for the Republic of Istkalen, under Liros Ikomar, for the Republic of Istkalen, under the Council of State, and for the State of Istkalen -
Well, it seems Councillor Granger is still going for the European Relief Force deployment despite being severely illegal because nor the Joint Transitional Authority for Istkalen, nor the Government of the Republic of Istkalen. This dumb and stupid move is simply denigrating for this Council, and aswell for the Europeans and the Istkalenians. But it's even more irritating when it comes to the "we just repealed this motion a few days ago". And now we bring it up again, Councillor Granger? This is an insult to the work of Councillors and an insult to the European Council, to the Council Speaker and to the Deputy Speaker.
The motion is even worse: it now adds the condemnation of the J-TAI when doing this in such a kind of motion is out of place, pretends to establish a transitional Government, yes, another; disturbing the Joint Transitional Authority for Istkalen's work and which is out of the ERF competences, says the security will depend of a non-existant deployed military and again, the repeals are indeed vague and don't contemplate all the possible options to end with the European Relief Force deployment. How on Earth, Councillor Emma Granger, do you pretend us to pass this outrage and insulting motion?
We all know the Kingdom of Reitzmag, we all know the mistakes they do and I'm the very first Councillor to criticise their mistakes, like the situation on the Caspian Sea, at Copala City or how things are actually developing in Istkalen, with Reitzmag supposedly planning to steal Istkalenian resources without even asking locals. But all you can offer to the European Union is this? Does Montenbourg plan to invade Istakalen just to assure the ERF is deployed? Will it receive some help? Because, let me remember something: the Kingdom of Spain won't be involved on any military deployment at Istkalen, even if it's part of the European Relief Force, so there's nothing much to do right now unless someone elses comes and support this.
Councillor Granger, I know internal European Progressive Alliance problems shouldn't be brought here, but I have seen enough. This motion is illegal according to the currently established laws, and this can't be allowed when you lead such a prestigious organization as the EPA. Ms. Granger, stop ashaming the European Progressive Alliance's members, former members, associated members and itself, resign from your chairwoman position if you have some European values and stop making the Council debate silly and illegal motions. I, and my collegues who I think share my opinion, have had ENOUGH. Thank you very much.
Donald Tusk
Deputy Speaker and Councillor for Spain -
