Albína Reiserová, a candidate of the entire nation, elected president with overwhelming majority
Albína Reiserová, a candidate of the entire nation, was elected president of the Democratic Republic of Czech Slavia in presidential election held on 28th of December. The turnout was 86,21%. 80,36% of the votes were for Reiserová and 19,64% were blank votes.
The election showed a great unity of the Czech people and the approval of the steps taken by the Socialist Republican Party The safety of the voters and the members of the voting committees was guaranteed by the People's Militias who guarded the election process over the entire Republic, thus all citizens were allowed to freely express themselves without any fear.
Albína Reiserová expressed gratitude towards voters and said she is ready to assume her position and do her part that the revolution requires, just as all workers in Czech Slavia do their part required by the revolution. She also said that the reactivation of Czech economy will be her first aim.
Reiserová replaced both Vratislav Sova and Slavomíra Černá as the position of prime minister was abolished, both already congratulated the new president and expressed their willingness to work with her.
All the people rejoice at the victory of the people's candidate. All people rejoice as the wise mother president loves all her children. And we are all ready to dedicate ourselves to her ingenious visions and plans to better our beloved motherland. Forward comrades, accept no limits!
President Albína Reiserová, the great helmswoman -
Českoslovanská televize
Surprising many, president Reiserová today appointed a fellow actor Karel Šín as the new minister of culture. Šín is not a member of any political party and was critical of the former prime minister Černá. Šín is best know for his role in the Spanish comedy show "Jersey". He was fired from the show after it's eight season due to complications caused by his drug addiction. He has since recovered from the addiction and now he advocates for alcohol and drug abstinence. Šín publicly declared himself a dedicated socialist just a week before being appointed the minister of culture. We bring you an interview our reporter Jílek had with the new minister Šín.Jílek: "Comrade minister, thank you very much for coming here today."
Šín: "Thanks for having me."
Jílek: "I would like to know what persuaded you to enter politics?"
Šín: "I was approached by the great comrade president Reiserová directly with the request to join her cabinet as a minister of culture. I previously had no intentions of entering politics, I didn't ask anybody to be appointed minister, I was asked if I would be willing to be appointed minister. And I thought of the great Czech people and how they supported me for the entirety of my career, for which I am so grateful, and decided that I have to accept this great honor to be named a minister of culture and do my best for the people of this country."
Jílek: "Why have you decided to become a minister in a SRP government? You were previously critical of the government of former prime minister Slavomíra Černá. You accused Černá of not being born in this country, but instead hailing from Ruthund and her policies not being for the Czech people. Do you still maintain this position?"
Šín: "Well listen I know have reason to believe that at least one grandparent of comrade Černá was from Czech Slavia, and it is quite likely that two of them were in fact Czech. It is possible that she was born in this country. But she did hand the power to the former leaders of opposition parties, and they were most definitely of foreign origin. They no longer even live in Czech Slavia. And I am not saying that everything that comrade Černá did was bad, there were undoubtedly many great things, but this shouldn't have happened. And I would also like to clarify that I love the people from Ruthund and from the entire world. Now president Reiserová is, without question, Czech and does what is best for Czech people and that is a government that I want to be part of. But I am not a member of any political party, I am me, Karel Šín."
Jílek: "I understand. What are your plans for the resort of culture comrade minister?"
Šín: "My objective is to bring the art closer to the people. In painting the currently dominant realism is too detached from the people I feel. Normal citizen can't paint in that style, the households are lacking quality paintings, the realistic art style just feels so elitist, you know. That is something I'd like to change. There is a simple yet beautiful art style originating from Czech Slavia, sadly it is so small that it doesn't even have a name. Let me show you an example I painted personally.
Here "The people are welcoming the new minister" it is simple, positive, the characters have little detail, only some basic attributes are shown so everybody can relate to it. You just look at a painting like this and it is obvious to you that it is Czech. I've heard that the Archbishop of Inquista bought some painting in this style and that is something we should strive for. Having Czech glory being shared by our art across the Union. We should aim to have art like this displayed at the furniture expositions in Fremet, have them decorate the communal facilities in the Union of Syndicates as well as imperial halls in the Empire of Inimicus. And let every working person become an artist if they wish so, an art for the people by the people. Czech Slavia should be on a drug called socialist art, very available, if you try it once you want to try it again."
Jílek: "Fascinating, Now comrade minister since you are an actor are similar changes planned for that type of art as well?"
Šín: "Let's not get hasty now. If you want to create a good film or a play or a show you need the actors as well as directors to have a certain type of blood, a tiger blood. Without it our shows would look like "Jersey " past season eight, horrible. This goes to show you how important it is to have tiger blood, it was a great show up to season eight, then the incopentent director fires an actor with tiger blood, tries to replace him with much worse actor and the show becomes unwatchable, those were all my fans, not theirs. So we need to cultivate the tiger blood in our actors, not ignore it, that would result in catastrophe. I've lobbied to create a show similar to "Jersey", but better, in the past. Of course without the decadent influence of the capitalism, without any alcohol or drugs. It would also not treat women like objects. In "Jersey they were always portrayed as objects that the main character has sex with. But in the comedy show I wanted to create women would be portrayed as smart, strong and independent. And then the main character would have sex with all of them. Now this show will get approved by me, so that is my most imminent plan for this type of art."
Jílek: "Thank you for your time, I wish you all the best comrade minister."
Šín: "Thank you, take care. To an absolute victory on the cultural front."

Českoslovanská televize introduces a new 'democratic patriotic' program
The ministry of culture introduced new guidelines for the Českoslovanská televize with the goal of propagating the democratic establishment of the democratic republic and patriotism. In accordance the Českoslovanská televize introduced a new program with emphasis on Czech produced shows and documentaries.
"... for instance shows for children is something that was completely neglected in the previous years. We used to mostly air foreign children shows and we felt that they don't promote the values we hold dear, which was a shame. We have the capabilities to produce our own shows and we want our children to have tiger blood, which is needed in this word to truly excel. The new Czech shows for kids will be focused on promoting love for the country and inciting a pride in its democratic and socialist establishment and the country's accomplishments. Our aim is to mobilize the people." reads a part of the message published by the minister of culture Karel Šín, who himself is in the process of writing one of the new comedy shows.
Another addiction is a short program called 'Reiserová's moments' promoting president's work and quotes, but also showcasing stories from the lives of citizens. As for example parents cooking for their children, idea for such segment was reportedly inspired by the Archbishop of Inquista, Mikaela Kligenberg.
The new program attracted criticism from some civic groups which describe the program as progression of attempts of brain washing and destroying all public morale. Minister Šín denied all the accusations saying that the new guidelines propagate critical thinking as well. -

International worker's day celebration in Prague
1st of May
The streets of the capital city Prague filled with endless stream of enthusiastic workers, celebrating the International worker's day together with workers all around the globe. The cheerful workers were greeted by the leadership of the state including comrade president Albína Reiserová who made a speech to the cheering crowd. In her speech, the president highlighted the ability of workers to defend their own freedom as they showed last year, when the efforts to undermine our people's democracy were stopped by the working people. There were attempts to steal the mines from the hands of the workers, had the workers not stopped these foul attempts they would surely become slaves in their own country. But, the workers fought to defend their freedom and they were successful.
President also mentioned the International worker's day celebrations of the past, where she as a member of actors union used to take part in the parades and expressed happiness that such parades of free people can be held openly today.
Rest of the speech was about what the future holds. President praised the unions for always standing with the working people. However, the reforms done by Plachta's government allowed for creation of unions not representing the working class and sabotaging their interests. The predecessor of the SRP, the CPCS was for creation of such unions, as unions organized by state did no longer align with the workers interests. But now, that the all the power in the state is again in the hands of the working class, the state organized unions once again fully align with the workers interests and soon they will once again be the only permitted unions. As the president showed, that we won't tolerate anybody undermining our republic!
In the last sentences, president promised that the nation's resources will forever remain in the hands of the workers and thanked the people for all their work and devotion to the republic. The crowd cheered and wished long live to the republic, the party and the president, showing true unity of our people. Soldiers even shouted that as long as the last of them breathes the red flag will remain over the Prague's Castle.
In other regions, the International worker's day celebrations were also spectacular, and they will surely be even more spectacular all over our country next year!

Smaller town and villages report lack of toilet paper long lines formed at local shops
Many smaller settlements report lack of toilet paper. As new quotas for Inquistan products have been announced some of the state owned stores expected a delivery of said Inquistan goods, yet didn't order any products from the Inquistan companies. Due to a mistake in communication, they expected the products to be ordered by the government from which they could in turn order these products. As a result some products like wine, chocolates or toilet paper have become scarce in smaller municipalities that have just one store operating.
People started forming lines in an attempt to buy the scarce products and once these shops were depleted of said products, they went looking for them in bigger towns and cities where long lines were formed in which a customer could stand for hours.
Scarcity of basic products, due to mistakes in communication or production, are't new to Czech Slavia, in fact, it is much less common now, then in the past, but regardless there are some calling for a change to Czech economy, even inside the ruling Socialist Republican Party. The economist Stříbrný has said, that this demonstrates the need in continuing and expanding the liberalization program to reduce the government involvement in economy and ensure that mistakes like these do not repeat. On the other hand former university professor Hrzal has criticized the dependance of the state on Inquista, calling it a "shadowy attempt at colonization". He claims that good relations with Inquista should of course be the goal of the country but not at the price of sovereignty. On the other hand, European Councillor Kohout said, that the government does it's best to avoid instances of scarcity of basic products from happening and that in just a few months these instances will be a thing of the past if the current course is maintained.
President Reiserová in today's episode of 'Reiserová's moments' expressed that she always starts her day with gratitude and recommended all the citizens to start their day with gratitude too. Czech conservative politician Kovářová, suspected of attempting a coup on the government and currently residing in Spain, considers this the president's message to the people in this crisis. "This is the president's message to the people affected by the incompetency of the government. She is telling you to stop complaining and just show gratitude to the government for allowing you just some of the basic products." Kovářová released in a statement today.
The lack of products will be resolved in a week, according to the government.

Victory of the Socialist Republicans over deviants
At the meting of the Central Committee of the Socialist Republican Party, the Party achieved yet another victory against traitors, opportunists, loudmouths and deviants from ultra-left and from the right.
The clique of Josef Hrzal overstepped all boundaries, when they decided to spread baseless lies about the Party leadership, namely that the Party leadership is putting Czech Slavia into shackles of Inquistan capital. Publicly sharing their ludicrous claims of Byzantism and Cult of Personality being build around the paramount leader Reiserová are another evidence of their anti-party activities, aiming at destroying its unity. Such activities can't be tolerated if we are to maintain our revolution and liberty!
Their claims that the Socialist Republican Party is abandoning the path of Marxism have been shown as another lies, as the wise leader Reiserová brilliantly explained that the situation the Democratic Republic is in requires a different approach and a different path, which is based on the genius of Marx and Engels, but fits the needs of Czech revolution. The bourgeois shrieks of the ultra-left's around professor Hrzal, masked by radical phrases, their deep misunderstanding of the current Czech conditions and their attacks against the genuine and everlasting friendships between Czech Slavia and liberal democratic states fully shows that they live in a Realm of Forms, not real material world and their ideas are harmful to the Czech revolution.
Josef Hrzal and other prominent ultra-leftists have been expelled from the Socialist Revolutionary party and they formed a new Communist Party of Czech Slavia, which has been registered and became a third registered party in the Democratic Republic of Czech Slavia.
Yet, cleansing of the party was not done. The opportunist clique of Jiří Stříbrný expected to gain benefits from the expulsion of ultra-leftists, to their surprise they received well deserved expulsion themselves. The members of the Central Committee demonstrated their adherence to revolutionary principles and uncovered the anti-party views held by Stříbrný. While it may seem that the right deviants do not pose as a threat to the party as the ultra-left deviants, their attempts to social democratize could poison the party and lead to its demise if tolerated. Stříbrný was revealed to be an author of anonymously published article criticizing the party for its handling of economy, a grave violation of the principle of democratic centralism.
Jiří Stříbrný and other prominent rightists, among them former president Vratislav Sova, have been expelled from the party, with some joining the Social Democratic Party of Czech Slavia and a few joining in with the ultra-leftists in the formation of the Communist Party of Czech Slavia.
Traitors have been shown that the dedication of Social Republicans to the revolution is unwavering. Away with all tyrants and traitors! Forwards left, not a step back!

President of the Republic signs Declaration of Friendship with Inquista
President Albína Reiserová signs Declaration of Friendship with Inquista which have previously passed through the Parliament. This was done after both parties fulfilled promises given to each other and after the Declaration was already signed by Inquista.
The officials of the ruling Socialist Republican Party consider the Declaration the show of the wisdom of the Inquistan government and of the diplomatic ability of the Czech government, which, according to them, managed to bring a great respect to Czech Slavia. The Social Democratic Party of Czech Slavia also expressed their support for the declaration, while the Communist Party of Czech Slavia warn of its possible consequences "We did not win respect the respect of the Inquistan bourgeoisie, it may appear that they smile at us, but behind their backs they hide a rope which they plan to use to bound our country. You do not win their respect by crawling at their feet, you show them that you are a trained pet. On the contrary we might have lost the respect of working people around the globe." said chairman of the Communist Party Hrzal.
In addition to signing the Declaration of Friendship, Reiserová also awarded Archbishop Mikaela Klingenberg with the Order of Friendship for her significant work on developing the diplomatic relations between her country and Czech Slavia. Former Prime minister Slavomíra Černá stood besides the president when the signature of the Declaration was announced and was credited with starting the process of developing close relations with Inquista. Černá, who is also one of the possible candidates for the position of Czech Ambassador to Inquista, also thanked Inquista for their gift, the statue called "Sisters in Destiny" and stated that "The future is ours to shape, together. For the sake of future generations let us fully devote ourselves to shaping it in a spirit of friendship and co-operation."

The Socialist Republican Party proposes extending the term of the Extraordinary People's Court by a year. A position of Vice-Head of the Extraordinary People's Court will be created and the position of Head of the Extraordinary People's Court will be amended
The representatives from the Socialist Republican Party proposed extending the term of Extraordinary People's Court by a year, the representatives of the Socialist Democratic Party of Czech Slavia and the Communist Party of Czech Slavia have made it clear that they won't support an extension for such a time, both parties were calling for an extension of six months to be considered instead, which was rejected by the Socialist Republican Party. Since the Socialist Republicans have a vast majority in the parliament the extension is expected to pass. Socialist Republican representative and former Speaker of the Parliament Radek Šedivý, who was himself investigated by the Court previously, has already stated that this will likely not be the last extension of the Court, and that it must stay in place until all the suspects will be investigated. Both the Social Democrats and the Communists support the existence of the Court in this time, but some of their representatives expressed fear, that the Socialist Republicans might prolong the term of the Court indefinitely, which is problematic, according to some, as the Extraordinary People's Court is the highest judicial authority and President Reiserová is a head of the Court. On the other hand some civic groups and activists criticize the existence of the Court even at this point in time.
One change to the Extraordinary People's Court is the creation of the position of Vice-Head of the Extraordinary People's Court. The position of Head of the Extraordinary People's Court will be amended to make the presence at cases and involvement with the judicial process for the Head unnecessary. The Vice-Head will assume all of the responsibilities of the Head in their abstence. However in case of presence of the Head, the Vice-Head can't take part in the legislative process. The Head will also have the power to dismiss the Vice-Head at any time. Reiserová has already made it clear that she will let the new Vice-Head assume their duties and will only attend the Court if "the situation would require it."
The position of the Vice-Head of the Extraordinary People's Court will be directly elected by the populace. The candidates are not required to have a formal law education. It is however required that they will finish the one year-long law education programe that was established with the Court itself. As of now 6 members of the Extraordinary People's Court have formal law education. Candidates do not have to be current members of the Court. In a case when a candidate that is a member of the Court is elected, the best performing non-member candidate will become a regular member of the Court. The candidates are required to be dedicated to justice, people's democracy and the Republic and it's institutions. There are critics of this decision who claim that the direct elections and no law education requirement moves the Extraordinary People's Court further from actual justice and toward ideological politics. The Socialist Republican Party however sees this procedure as greatly democratic and claim that as people hold all the power in the state they should be able to elect judges and be elected as judges in the Extraordinary People's Court.
There are also some activists that criticize the fact that Albína Reiserová, the President of the Republic is and will remain the Head of the Court, with the ability to take part in the judicial process. Some call it violation of separation of powers while some doubt the ability of Reiserová to manage being the Head of a State, Head of a Government and Head of the Extraordinary People's Court at the same time. Albína Reiserová responded to the doubts while going out of her yoga class in Prague. To the a question how would she react that some doubt the ability of one single individual manage both the position of President and Head of the Extraordinary People's Court Reiserová responded with: "There is absolutely no need to worry about that. I was always good at multitasking."

The Government announces increased effort in fight against alcoholism
As the data from Czech Statistical Office show alcohol consumption has rapidly risen in Czech Slavia in the past 20 years. On average a citizen now consumes 14,7 litres of pure alcohol per year. The alcohol consumption is also rising among the under-aged population. The Government of the Democratic Republic of Czech Slavia has called the rises concerning and announced increased effort in fight against alcoholism. The current "Drinking workers don't think, thinking workers don't drink" program directed at fight with alcoholism will start focusing more on the under-aged and young adults. Students in schools will receive additional school programmed focused on gardening, planting trees, cleaning forests and bodies of water and other activities, as the government believes that if students spend more time doing meaningful activities they will have less of an urge to spend the time doing drugs. More funds will also be provided to Pioneers and for renovating school sporting facilities and expanding libraries over the course of the upcoming five-year plan. For older students, their mandatory part-time summer jobs will also increase in length.
Changes will also be found in culture, as state shows and films as well as music were directed to avoid showing the main characters drinking and state television and radio providers were directed to primarily show art that doesn't have the main characters drinking. The penalties for driving under the influence of alcohol will also be increased.

Vlastimil Šlachta elected as the first Vice-Head of the Extraordinary People's Court
Former Chief of Agency for Uncovering Organized Crime Vlastimil Šlachta, who before joining law enforcement was a tractor driver, was elected as the Vice-Head of the Extraordinary People's Court. Šlachta was supported by the Socialist Republican Party and won in the first round with 53,1% of the votes. Šlachta was in the past highly critical of the government of Michal Plachta, claiming that the planned privatization of Czech mines would lead to the greatest amount of corruption in Czech history.
President Reiserová sings the plans to expand the town of Rudolfov
President of the Democratic Republic of Czech Slavia, Albína Reiserová signed the plans to expand the town of Rudolfov yesterday. Rudolfov lies close to Lišov REM mine. Rudolfov currently has around 7 600 inhabitants. The plan sets up the goal of increasing the number of inhabitants to around 30 000.
The plan is split into two phases, in the first phase, until the year 2023, the city should expand to have around 11 000 inhabitants.. The second phase should be planned out in the next five year planand expand the city to the goal of 30 000 inhabitants in five years.
The first place counts with building a new modern mining vocational secondary school. The School will stand on the new Mikaela Kligenberg street and will also bear the name of the Inquistan archbishop, The Mining Vocational Secondary School of Mikaela Kligenberg. President Reiserová who visited Rudolfov to sign the plan at the Town hall has said the following:
"It was decided that the new school will be named after our sister, the Archbishop of Inquista, Mikaela Kligenberg. An incredibly sharp and wise woman who has shown a great love to our people and visited this beautiful town with me earlier this year. Mikaela is also a great supporter of high quality education and training that the school shall provide to it's students. And she herself is one of the greatest teachers of nations from which the people of the world have still a lot to learn. The Mining Vocational Secondary School of Mikaela Kligenberg will include a wide range of specializations for the mining and will also offer the students the option to extend their studies to finish them with maturita exam.
The representatives of Rudolfov are satisfied with the school as are the teachers a miners labor unions. As local children who want to once work in the Lišov mine or other mines won't be forced to travel long distances to study and the school is expected to raise the quality of miners in all fields. The Social Democrats and the Communists also showed approval of the new school. Yet some do not agree with the name of the school. Particularly in the circles of the Communist Party of Czech Slavia the decision to name the school after a head of a foreign state and a head of a religious organization is unpopular as it contradicts the supposed secularism and sovereignty of the Democratic Republic. On the other hand the name is welcomed by the small Czech branch of the Orthodox Church which requested that religion be taught at the new school as a selective class, this request was denied by the Ministry of Education.

The Paramount Leader, comrade Albína Reiserová yesterday congratulated the students on finishing the school year in a short speech that we deliver to you.
"Dearest students, I congratulate you all on finishing the school year. I recognize that especially the firs half of the school year was complicated for all of you as the country found itself in a crisis, and yet you persisted and continued studying despite the hardships and for that you deserve our thanks. Our thanks also fully belongs to the teachers, who continued to fulfill their duties even in critical times and guided you through them, ensuring that the quality of our education doesn't decrease in the slightest. Part of the command of the defense forces arrested, army is to be reorganized and efforts at mobilizing the masses to be increased.
The military police in the early morning hours stormed some military facilities across the country to arrest officers of the defense forces that during the crisis of November and December 2020 that at first refused to follow the orders of the Alexander Bílý and instead collaborated with forces trying to keep Michal Plachta in office. The command of the defense forces have later joined the calls for Plachta's resignation and up until now weren't prosecuted for their previous actions. Among the most notable officers arrested are general Rytíř and general Procházka. They are suspected of treason, for breaking an oath of loyalty to the socialist establishment of the democratic republic. All the arrested officers await trial. It will be the first time since the foundation of the Extraordinary People's Court that the defendants will be from the defense forces.
In order to secure the loyalty of the high command Reiserová's Government has decided to reorganize the army The political commissars are to play a larger role in the command of the army, ensuring its political reliability and adherence to democratic principles. The soldiers will now also be required to swear an oath of loyalty to the President of the Republic. At the same time more time will be dedicated to fighting bullying in the defense forces with tougher punishments.
The disloyalty that the high command of the armed forces have shown in the previous year also led Reiserová's Government to conclude that the mobilization of the masses is of upmost importance, so that every citizen does their duty of defending their Motherland. For that reasons new education programs will be introduce to the schools, directed at teaching kids how to act in the situation of danger. The Pioneers will now also swear an oath of loyalty to the President of the Republic. Older students at universities will also be required to learn how to handle firearms and the People's Militias are to be expanded.
The Ministry of Education has began talks with state-sponsored associations of students functioning in Czech universities like the Association of Impecunious and Progressive Students about the quality of their educators. The Ministry has promised to hear the students out and bring necessary changes. Some students protest this decision, claiming the state-sponsored associations of students are driven ideologically and there is a risk of ending the careers of educators that do not adhere to the policy of the Socialist Republican Party. Other students however praise the action of the Government and its willingness to listen to their demands, and democratizing Czech universities.

Number of officially registered parties growing
Since the Gouvernement of Czech Slavia declared the situation in the state to be mostly stabilized a number of registered parties has been increasing. Among the registered parties are the Party of the Democratic Left and the Green Party, both of which have the potential to reach 5% of the votes according to official polls.
The Party of the Democratic Left was founded by former members of the Social Democratic Party of Czech Slavia around Petr Hájek. Hájek assumed the leadership of Czech Social Democrats after Alois Jelen has departed from the Democratic Republic to the Commonwealth of Leagio, Hájek was since trying to get the Social Democratic Party re-registered, but this has only happened after the return of Alois Jelen. Jelen assumed the official leadership of the party again, refusing to hold a extraordinary leadership election as Hájek demanded, for the reason of preparing for the upcoming legislative election, after this Hájek and hiss supporters requested for the Party of the Democratic Left to be registered. Both social democratic parties hold the view that the other party is made up of the liberal wing of the formely unified party that is abandoning left-wing politics and the ordinary people of Czech Slavia.
The Green Party is an environmentalist party that has existed since the 1990's and was now re-registered.
The Civic Forum and the Czech National Democracy have not been re-registered so far as their leaders are still suspected of attempting to overthrow the republic and are currently avoiding trial living abroad. Some liberal, conservative and nationalist groups have since requested registration of new political parties or movements but were not so far been approved. Leaders of both CF and CND have condemned the restrictions on political parties accusing the ruling Socialist Republican Party of only allowing controlled opposition to run in the election that will take place in October this month. This accusation has been rejected by all registered political parties.

Alliance of Independent Mayors and Civic Democrats is the last registered party that will compete in the 2021 Legislative Election.
The Alliance of Independent Mayors and Civic Democrats was officially registered as political party yesterday, which was also the last day to submit registration for the legislative election that will take place in October. The leader of the Alliance, Vít Sršeň, said that despite being allowed to run in the election the establishment has done everything to make sure that the elections are not fair.
"We officially requested for registration at the start of February this year and despite the Government proclaiming that the situation is mostly stabilized back in March, we were not registered until 16 hours before the deadline to submit registration for the legislative election. We had to quickly make sure that our candidacy lists are ok with our candidates, make any changes quickly without the possibility for ordinary processes to be able to submit our registration. Our ability to campaign before we were officially registered, was also limited, while other parties could start their campaigns. I really think that the SRP did everything in its power to make the election as unfair as possible." commented Sršeň.
The Alliance of Independent Mayors and Civic Democrats is mostly made up of former members of the Civic Forum, including mayors of municipalities who refused to side with the Socialist Republican Party during the crisis in December 2020.. As the Civic Forum was not officially re-registered it is expected that the AIMCD will attract most of its previous electorate.
No signifiant nationalist group was officially registered and the Czech National Democracy also wasn't re-registered. Former leader of the CND, Klára Zbouralová, suspected of attempting a coup against the Republic, has issued a statement in which she claims that such actions only demonstrate how afraid of patriotic movement the Government is.

The Parliament passes a motions to fight obesity and unhealthy lifestyle, increases the powers of the President
Yesterday, the parliament has passed motions aimed at fighting obesity and unhealthy lifestyle. One of the motions raises the requirements for the quality of food to be sold, effectively banning some junk food from fast foods and restaurants, for example certain types of pizza, and allowing selling only limited amount of other types of junk food, for example milkshakes.
The other motion amends the guidelines for the Czech Film Administration to prevent screening of films promoting unhealthy lifestyle in cinemas across the country. This includes films in which the protagonists, among other factors, excessively drink alcohol, excessively smoke cigarettes, take illegal drugs, regularly eat unhealthy, harm themselves, suffer from anorexia or bulimia. This does not affect educational films or films about overcoming these difficulties, or showing their damaging affects. Films in which the protagonists drink alcohol, smoke cigarettes or eat unhealthy few times during the film will be allowed to be screened at cinemas to adult audiences. All films will still be allowed to be purchased and screened privately.
Both laws were passed supported by the representatives of the Socialist Republican Party and the Communist Party of Czech Slavia, representatives of the Social Democratic Party of Czech Slavia opposed both. The leader of the SDPCS, Alois Jelen, warned that such laws will hurt the trust of Czech Slavia in the eyes of local and foreign businesses, in turn hurting the development of the economy. The leader of the CPCS, Josef Hrzal, has explained that the Communist cautiously support the laws, as he considers them to lessen the dependance of Czech Slavia on foreign capital. "Despite our cautious support of the two proposed laws, the Government and the Socialist Republicans continue to prove that they are nothing but mercenaries of foreign capital and our support for the two laws in no way mean that we support the position of the Government and the Socialist Republican Party on the economy. Despite claiming to be the Party of the working class, the worker in Czech Slavia have even less representation then in other European countries, on the contrary the Socialist Republicans stand for the interest of the Kligenberg family as the only permitted labour unions work to prevent workers at the Kligenberg Industries from striking to achieve their goals. Such Government and its policies remain unacceptable to us!" said Hrzal during the Parliament debate.
A constitutional law giving the President of the Democratic Republic a right to issue decrees for the Government has been passed by the Parliament by the votes of the representatives of the SRP, representatives of the SDPCS and the CPCS opposed the law.
The representatives of the CPCS and some of the representatives of the SDPCS have tried to pass a condemnation of the actions of the People's Militias, the paramilitary wing of the Socialist Republican Party, which according to them harass the candidates of opposition and extra-parliamentary political parties. The extra-parliamentary Alliance of Independent Mayors and Civic Democrats, Party of the Democratic Left and the Green Party have also complained about harassment of their candidates, which they claim is organized by the SRP and carried out by the People's Militias. The proposed condemnation would urge the Government to stop the harassment of the candidates. The condemnation was blocked by the representatives of the SRP and did not pass. Some of the representatives of the SDPCS did not vote.
The Speaker of the Parliament, Antonín Smetana, has called the proposed condemnation "a desperate attempt by the politicians lacking the support of the people to campaign on baseless accusation while the Socialist Republican Party works for the country." and predicted that the voters will soon appreciate the work done by the SRP and refuse the campaigning by the opposition. President Albína Reiserová has also spoken about the accusation, refusing that the Socialist Republican Party would organize a harassment campaign against candidates of any political party. She has stated that the candidates in question may be getting criticism from the people of Czech Slavia who well remember the crisis in the winter of 2020 and do not want to repeat it. She has also stated that her Government will in no way limit people from expressing themselves. "For those politicians, who are now complaining about the so called harassment, democracy ends in the election room. But for the Socialist Republicans, democracy expands on the streets and the workplaces and we won't stand down from our dedication to democracy. There will be no limitations on the freedom of expression . And the people are expressing themselves, they are rejecting chaos and the anti-people policies of those who oppose the Socialist Republican Party!" said President Reiserová regarding the issue.
