Meet Emilie Marie-Louise: The face and voice of the 36th edition of EuroVoice Song Contest
"It's an honour to be the representer of this show" Marie-Louise says.
(The Malboryan Journal)
The excitement for the next EuroVoice in Aqualin continues. As time passes by, more and more information gets public about the contest. This time, the presenter. MBOTV spokesperson Adio Bianca recently announced that Emilie Marie-Louise will present the thirty-sixth EuroVoice in Aqualin.
Who is Emilie Marie-Louise?
Emilie Marie-Louise was born in 17 August 1985. She was born and raised in the small town of Auster, located in Rosetta, Malborya. She spent her life there until 2005 when she moved to Attaviano to study journalism at The University of Vasilica Da Anna. She is known for being a news reporter at MBOTV from 2010 to 2014, as well as debating politics at Rosa Ponta (Red Point), a political debate program in MBOTV, making her last appearance at September 2018. She currently works as a journalist for Neu Den'i Malborya.

Time is not kind to PMP: Young voters frustrated and demand more action
Voters aged 25-36 demand more action from PMP as time goes forward
(Mainecras)
Malborya First Party (PMP) has been on the power since 2008. If they win the 2019 elections, this will be their 4th term as the ruling party. However, their chances of winning it are getting slimmer and slimmer every second.
Both PMP and Prime Minister Mr. Lacu Eusebiu now have approval levels reaching new lows, never seen before. It is believed that the cause of the sudden sink is because PMP is considered "incompetent", due to their nature of staying silent and inoffensive on extreme issues, like homelessness or the discrimination of the Protestants on Catholic-heavy areas, like Vasilica Da Anna.
"What we're seeing here is the start of a new age for The Malboryan Republic", says Ester Sonya, a political analyst since PMP took power in the office. "We're seeing a new generation of Malboryans who demand more than things staying the same and business going as usual. They demand change, so they vote for parties that lean more towards the left, like PG or AVM."
Survey companies also back up Mrs. Sonya's claim. Recent surveys show that PMP has lost around 7% to 14% of it's voters, compared to surveys last year.
"We are not surprised at all." Mera Birtta, founder of a famous survey company tells Mainecras. "2019 has been a very static year for our country, especially in a year where changes after changes happened in our neighbours and other countries. I, and of course, all Malboryans, wish for the best to our country, and many think PMP is not the best for our country, which, though debatable, might be correct."
The election is expected to happen at the start of the second half of November 2019.

EuroVoice 36 has come to an end
Céline Dion gets Gallorum it's first EuroVoice victory
(Gazetta Institut Malborya)
The 36th edition of EuroVoice Song Contest was held on Emily Dior Arena in Aqualin, Region of Krestina, Malborya. Twelve countries have participated this edition. Céline Dion won the contest for Gallorum with the song, "Flying On My Own".
"TRULY A MEMORABLE EUROVOICE" - Mads Mikkelsen, Vayinaodic spokesperson for EV 36
Many countries appreciated the effort that was put in this edition's EuroVoice by MBOTV. The visuals and the overall quality of EuroVoice 36 was praised among fans and critics.
Malboryan Republic has also participated in the contest with the song "1950" by King Princess. Though not winning for a second time, they have achieved a respectable 4th place with 67 points, getting douze points from Saledia.
Icholasen, host of the EuroVoice 35, has decided to sent an entry in French language for a second time. Lola Le Lann was chosen to represent the island country with the song "Lola à l'eau" They achieved second place, 3 points behind the winner, Gallorum.
She Drew The Gun, winning group of EuroVoice 35, also performed this EuroVoice, as an interval act, with their song, "Poem".
Emily Dior Arena
"IT WAS A MAGICAL EXPERIENCE" - Emilie Marie-Louise, host of EuroVoice 36
"The arena was filled with every emotion you can imagine. Sadness, anger, excitement, happiness... It was a magical experience, to see all the faces and the reactions, especially while hosting, while being a face for it? Mother Anna."
Emilie Marie-Louise, host of EV 36, seemed exhausted in the green room after the show has ended, but she was still eager enough to share her opinions with us and other journalists.
"We would like to thank EUBC for making this show a possibility", said Adio Bianca, MBOTV spokesperson. "We would also like to thank the viewers all around Europe and MBOTV employees who have worked very hard to create the best EuroVoice possible. It would not be a reality without you. Malborya will continue it's participation to this show which unites Europe all around, even if it's for a single night. Thank you."
Bianca has also answered some of the questions by our journalists during the public press conference.
Q: Will MBOTV continue it's activities for EUBC?
A: Of course. We will help in everyway we can. We would also like to help Gallorum's broadcaster if they need help for hosting. We will also share our suggestions and new ideas for EuroVoice to shake things up, because, well, there is a chance that the viewers might find it a little stale after a while.
Q: Will there be a national selection for the next EuroVoice?
A: I think it is a little early to answer this question right now. The idea of a public selection is one of the biggest discussion topics at MBOTV. But currently, I cannot say anything that is certain.
Q: Any final words for the winner of EuroVoice 36?
A: It was well deserved, in my opinion. The performance in Emily Dior was stellar and there was no flaw to be found. Even though I think they've placed us too low, it is their music taste and we cannot judge one for it. I just cannot wait for the show in Gallorum. I think they are going to do a great job at it.
The next EuroVoice is expected to be held by Gallorum Deux around January.

The Ultimate Survival Guide for the Upcoming Malboryan Elections: How Does The System Work? (Part 1)
A guide for you to survive through all this madness.
(Rosa, Gello o Blu)
The date of the 2020 Malboryan elections is coming closer and closer. And you probably are panicking because you do not know anything. Don't worry, here, we'll explain!
First things first, you need to understand how the system works. Malborya has a parliament, and it's called Parlamenta. Unlike many other countries, the parliament is not separated in Malborya. We don't need any upper or lower parliament to make our decisions. Parlamenta consists of three hundred MP's which are elected with this election. This is called the first phase of the election.
The second phase of this election is where political parties choose their candidate for the prime minister. Here's the twist: Only the political parties who got more than 10% of the vote can choose their candidate. Because of this, the political parties who cannot choose a candidate, usually support other candidates from other political parties, creating alliances.
The second phase also means that there is a possibility where a party can have the majority in the Parlamenta, but don't get their candidate elected in the second phase. This is effective since the prime minister can veto proposals from Parlamenta for the first and the second time, demanding changes to the proposals.
Parlamenta, however, can also veto these changes and demand the prime minister to accept the proposal. After the third decline from the Parlamenta, prime minister either accepts the proposal or calls in for a referendum. Parlamenta decides whether there should be a referendum or not. If yes, a referendum is held 2 months later the decision.
If Parlamenta declines prime minister's request to hold a referendum, the prime minister has to accept the proposal and add it to the constitution. If not, the prime minister can legally be voted to get impeached by the Parlamenta.
This is the end of Part 1. In Part 2, we will talk about the political parties that will enter the 2020 Malboryan Elections. Until next time, bye-bye!

Protests spark in major cities after Ms Ioneli's decision to vote against the Elected and Accountable Council Act
Over 200 people were arrested during the protests, MPD says
(Libertate)
Councillor Edward Firoux, one of the most famous politicians in the European Union, has proposed a new act, called Elected and Accountable Council Act. According to Mr Firoux himself, "The European Union is dedicated to promoting democracy and good governance. In order to, therefore, legitimize itself as a fully democratic institution, and to make itself accountable to the European people, the European Council shall become a democratically-elected body chosen directly by the people of the European Union."
Ms Ectsi Ioneli, the Councillor of the Malboryan Republic, was against this act and openly expressed this on Twitter, only to be dragged harder than John Oliver. Whoops!
But of course, the anger of Malboryans who wanted a fairer system in their country didn't stop on Twitter and leaked into the streets. It is said that almost 170,000 people protested the decision worldwide. Over 50,000 people participated in the protests on Acelany alone.
Fehle Lekille, one of the protesters in Malbory, said "We don't want stupid puppets to represent us at the Council! We demand one of the simplest of our rights, electing! And we will be on the streets until we get it!"
The Malboryan Police Department, or MPD, has announced that they arrested over 200 people so far. But protesters say this number is higher than what MPD says. Leader of the Green Party reports that the MPD has arrested well over a thousand people, but it is unknown which is true.

The Ultimate Survival Guide for the Upcoming Malboryan Elections: Who Are The Political Parties? (Part 2)
A guide for you to survive through all this madness.
(Rosa, Gello o Blu)
Hello, and welcome to another chapter of The Ultimate Survival Guide for the Upcoming Malboryan Elections. In this part, we will talk about the political parties that will enter the Malboryan elections.
A - Malborya First Party - Prima Malborya
Established: 1985
Ideology: Centre, Centre-rightRuling party since 2008, MFP is a secular centrist party that isn't well known for its radical policies. Many left-leaning people criticize them for this and say they are not efficient enough. MFP, unfortunately, struggles with attracting the new generation of voters that are coming through, and experts say this will be the reason for MFP's loss.
B - Alternative for Malborya - Alternativ vor Malborya
Established: 1989
Ideology: Centre-left, social democratSpeaking of young voters, AFM manages to attract them better than MFP does, as they are more vocal on social issues, as well as economic issues. AFM takes examples from other social-democratic countries in the European Union. Their main goals are: reducing poverty, reducing discrimination, extending the rights of the LGBT+ community, and raise the minimum wage.
C - Workers Party - Parteschiv
Established: 1997 (unofficial), 2011 (official)
Ideology: Left, far-left, communistParteschiv was created as an activist group in 1997, under the name of "The One-Eyed Eagle". During this time, they were known for their protests and influential activism. After 2010, Malborya abolished the two-party system and replaced it for a multi-party system. This is when the group renamed itself to Parteschiv in 2011.
Parteschiv supports the idea of putting the lower middle class and peasants into higher positions, as well as total government control of the economy. It is semi-popular among young adults, who think AFM is "too centrist"
D - Green Party - Parte Gren
Established: 2015
Ideology: Left, far-left (at times)One of the newest parties that will enter the election, Green Party aims to reduce the significance of agriculture and mining in the Malboryan economy. The party gets more and more popular, especially among the youth, as climate change becomes a trending issue for the world, as well as Malborya.
E - Party for Our Mother - Parta vor Mama Anna
Established: 2007 (unofficial), 2010 (official)
Ideology: Far-rightA right-wing party created solely around Catholicism. They are the most controversial party in the nation, due to their anti-EU stance, their xenophobic statements against non-Catholics and Inko-Malboryans and their repeated support for extremist groups and policies.
F - Party for The Truth - Parta vor Trutt
Established: 2011
Ideology: Centre, centre-leftPVT was created solely around Lutheranism and as a response to repeated slander from PFOM, though they are not as extremist as PFOM. They hold some centre-left views and support many AFM policies.
F - The Party of Klokism - Parte'o Klokism
Established: 2017
Ideology: CentreLike PVT and PFOM, TPOK is also a religious party, created around a religion that is only in Malborya, Klokism. TPOK doesn't have a political stance, and they tend to support whoever supports or speaks positively about Klokism.
And these are the parties Malboryans will vote for the upcoming election! See you next time.

AFM wins the first phase of 2020 Malboryan election
The centre-left party has crushed MFP on the first phase
(The Malboryan Journal)
After the long-waited 2020 elections in Malborya, AFM is elected as the majority in the parliament on the first phase, with 44,5% of the votes, receiving 135 seats. MFP was the second party on the elections, with 31,5% of the votes, receiving 95 seats. These two parties were the only parties that passed the 10% voting mark, meaning Malborya will have two candidates on the second phase. PFOM was placed third with 7,1% of the votes, equivalent to 21 seats. WP was close to PFOM with 6,9% of the votes, getting them 20 seats. 5th place went to the Protestant household, POTT with 5% of the votes and 15 seats. GP got 3,7% of the votes with 10 seats, and TPOK got the last place with 1,3% of the vote with just 4 seats.
AFM and MFP will announce their candidates for Prime Minister the following week.

AFM and MFP announce their candidates for prime minister position
Narcisse Blanco and Vincent Archambault will be the candidates for MFP and AFM, respectively.
(The Malboryan Journal)
The political parties who got enough votes to announce candidates for the prime minister position, AFM and MFP, have finally announced their candidates.
AFM spokesperson Candelun Marles announced last Friday that Vincent Archambault will run as a candidate for the position.
WHO IS VINCENT ARCHAMBAULT?
Vincent Archambault, born 4th of March, 1979, is a Malboryan politician, as well as a representative for the Parlamenta since 2012. Archambault is known as one of the founding fathers of The One-Eyed Eagle- which would later become Parteschiv, aka the Workers Party. Archambault left the group in 2010 before it became a party. He then would later join AFM and run as a representative candidate.
MFP spokesperson Leon Flero has also announced Narcisse Blanco as their candidate last Tuesday.
WHO IS NARCISSE BLANCO?
Narcisse Blanco, born 1st of August, 1942, is a Malboryan politician who has worked as Minister of Health under the Centreo regime from 1970 to 1975. She also worked as a representative from 2012 to 2016. She is praised among the older generation for making Malboryan health care more affordable in the 70s and the 80s, though these changes would later be reverted.

(Mainecras)
Image: AFM supporters celebrating after Archambault's victory, Malbory City.
The second phase of the Malboryan 2020 elections has been concluded after the election results getting announced on all Malboryan televisions.
After 2 weeks of rallies and meet-ups from both sides, it has finally come to an end.
Vincent Archambault wins the race over Narcisse Blanco by getting 51,1% of the votes. Out of 17 million people who were eligible to vote, around 11 million of them voted, making the voting turnout 64%.
Archambault was sworn-in to the office 3 hours ago, at the time when we wrote this article. He promised "an equal life and opportunities for all Malboryans" and "more relations with outside countries". He claimed that the years under his charge will be "the best years The Republic has ever seen", though some Malboryans are sceptical.
"COUNCILLOR ELECTIONS WILL HAPPEN"
After Elected and Accountable Council Act passing on the EU council, The position of Ms Ectsi Ioneli was in a limbo for quite a while. Reports say that Archambault demanded Ms Ioneli to resign in the next 24 hours, though this has been unconfirmed as of now. However, the AFM spokesperson has told MBOTV that the councillor elections will happen as soon as possible.

You Don't Know Who Wrote This Article, Thanks to Mr Antelmo
This act changed everything in Malboryan Journalism.
(Libertate)
Back in the 1980s, Malborya, which was slowly transforming from an Inquistan puppet state to a democracy, had a big problem. The honest, hard-working journalists all around the country were constantly being threatened, with torture, disappearance, or death. These threats mostly came from Centreo's Mafia, which, even though Centreo was dead, they were still around. Other offenders were the Inquistan and Red Croatian extremists, making sure nobody spilt anything about they didn't want.
Now, you might be asking, wouldn't it just... be easier to catch these bad guys? Doesn't Malborya have policemen all around? And the answer is, yes, we did have policemen all around the country. But it gets hard when you realize these mafias have a connection with almost every country, and they had no problem travelling in and out. Malborya simply did not have the resources to eradicate this mess at that time.
So, what did the government do, to get around this? In November of 1986, then Prime Minister of Malborya, Mr Antelmo, approved The Anonymity Grants For Journalists Act. This act was simply, groundbreaking. It gave the journalists rights to be anonymous as they wished if they thought they would be in trouble if they released it with their full name. It was so influential, even today, Mr Antelmo is known for this law.
This law did wonders- many nameless heroes, writing the truth for our fellow Malboryans, have survived so many threats, on the Malboryan progress to democracy. It shielded our people from the worst of the worst.
Every 17th of November, Malboryans come together to celebrate our hidden heroes, our journalists, and the ones who got killed along the journey to the right information. All the candles for them... May they rest well.

Ms. Ectsi Ioneli silently returns to Malborya
The Europolis adventure of Ioneli is now over.
(Gazetta Institut Malborya)
Ectsi Ioneli, the EU Councillor of The Malboryan Republic for the past 4 years up until now, has returned from Europolis this afternoon. According to sources from Europolis, she preferred not to use the airport due to her being scared of the protesters waiting on Malbory International.
The airport security had a lot of trouble keeping protestors out of the airport, which resulted in the Malboryan police stepping in. It is estimated that around 350 people participated in the protests, 6 of which got arrested.
On her social media, she said the following: "It was a great honour to represent Malborya at the EU Council. I wish the best of luck to whoever replaces me on that spot. I'm sure they'll do a better job than I can ever do."
Previously, Ms Ioneli was heavily criticised by most Malboryans, due to opposing Electable and Accountable Council Act. Many predict that she could've ran for the election again, with heavy support, if she didn't oppose the act.
-
Malboryan Councillor candidates finally announced
3 people will fight for the spot on May 2020 Malboryan councillor election
(Rosa, Gello o Blu)
After an extensive amount of auditions and interviews, the new council member candidates are finally declared by the Parlamenta. Kent Evergreen, Claudia Leon and Vald Linda are going to be the potentials which will fill the empty spot Ectsi Ioneli has left this year.
But, who exactly are these people? Ladies and gents, let us introduce you the candidates.
CANDIDATE 1 - Kent Evergreen
Birthdate: 1st of May, 1998 (21 years old)
Gender: Male
Location: Lachte, Malborya
Summary: Evergreen has raised large awareness in Malborya on LGBTQ+ community, particularly on areas where the laws were either weak or non-existent. he's considered responsible for the majority of the pro-LGBTQ+ laws after 2015. he's additionally well-known for organizing numerous pride events around Lachte, one of the most socially conservative regions of Malborya.CANDIDATE 2 - Claudia Leon
Birthdate: 16th of July, 1981 (38 years old)
Gender: Female
Location: Malbory, Malborya
Summary: Claudia Leon became documented when she ran for the parliament seat within the 2020 Malboryan elections. Her rightist opinions created her gain popularity among the Catholics and extreme MFP voters, although several also find her unlikable, finding her "too extreme". although being rightist, she appears to support the European Union and has talked about the advantages Malborya has when it joined the union in 2010.CANDIDATE 3 - Vald Linda
Birthdate: 4th of January, 1990 (30 years old)
Gender: Female
Location: Victoria, Malborya
Summary: Vald Linda has been writing on her personal blog since 2010, and as a journalist on Mainecras since 2015. She holds largely centrist values and doesn't appear too opinionative on most issues. She additionally hosted the political MBOTV program of Rosa Ponta for five months. She was heavily supportive of Malborya joining EuroVoice and has created the movement, Malbvizio, where the music competition with the same name gets its name from.On tonight's debate on MBOTV, the three will debate and answer the questions of Emilie-Marie Louise. What will they say? We can't wait to know.
-
Opinion: Is Evergreen the best option for Malborya?
Maybe, but it's less simple than you think.
(Libertate)
Ever since the candidates were announced by the Parlamenta, all three candidates have faced criticism from various sides. Though there were many people who were satisfied with the candidates, it seems like a lot of people thought none of the candidates was great enough to represent Malborya at Europolis. The biggest proof of this is the voting turnout. Only 47,9% of Malboryans eligible to vote at 2020 EU councillor elections have actually voted in the election.
The winner of the elections, Kent Evergreen, is not exactly a figure beloved by all Malboryans. Aside from usual homophobia and transphobia he experiences, he doesn't have many fans. So, how did he win the election? Did he cheat? Well, if he attempted, we would be hearing it constantly for the next 3 days, as well as 1970s right-wing hysteria about his "mental illness" or whatever. It's harsh, but that's what would happen in Malborya.
In order to understand the victory of Evergreen, we need to look at the other two candidates: Claudia Leon and Vald Linda. Claudia Leon is your usual MFP-type centre-right woman. On a country where a centre-left prime minister gets an approval rate of around 53%, Leon had no chance. Her views were considered inconsistent to many, and many questioned if she was a populist, which is something that is frowned upon in Malborya.
Vald Linda is, simply put, alienating. She just doesn't feel Malboryan. And no, this is not a baseless assumption on how she is an Inquistan spy, and it surely is not a xenophobic attack towards Victorians. What it is, is that Linda is not relatable to Malboryans. She doesn't seem friendly, happy or appealing to the voters. And her policies aren't the best, either. She was heavily questioned about her stance on EU policing the member states, saying she'd prefer a system where EU legislated on everything, as well as her disapproval on legalisation of cannabis.
It's possible that Evergreen simply got elected because him being "the lesser evil" out of three candidates. It's possible that he was simply the best one for many Malboryans. But, it is too hard to tell just yet. He has four years to show himself. That is a lot of time for someone to shine! Only time will tell.
I'd like to end this article on a positive note and congratulate Evergreen on winning the councillor elections.

Missing teenager's body found on the national park in Klocke-Yoyl, local folk suspicious
Onai Perdeza wasn't the first person to be found dead around that area.
(LIBERTATE)
Three weeks ago, the Perdeza family reported to the local police that their son Onai, 14, was missing. The police have done an extensive search throughout the town of Vardegart to find the boy. However, after two weeks, no trace of Onai could be found. Until now.
A farmer, whose identity wasn't shared to the public, found the body somewhere near his farm while driving to Vardegart. The farmer called the ambulance immediately. Onai was pronounced dead on the scene.
Onai wasn't the first person to die this way. A month ago, a 59-year-old woman was found dead near a cave, half a kilometre away from where Onai Perdeza died. Three months before that, a young man in his 20s was found dead near a well, in-between the two incidents. In three years, 9 people were found dead or heavily injured in Bonidelva National Park.
An autopsy done on three bodies revealed that the deaths were suspiciously similar- they were done in either poisoning or hypothermia. This raised extreme suspicion around Klocke-Yoyl, and with the order of the governor, the Bonidelva was closed until further notice.
"We will investigate these incidents further", local police sheriff claimed after the death of Onai. "This young man's death wasn't the first incident around the area. Therefore, the area is closed down to the public until further notice, in order for our people's safety."

Underground settlements found in Bonidelva National Park after a detailed investigation
I've never seen something like this before, says the local police sheriff
(Libertate)
A couple of days ago, the governor of Klocke-Yoyl issued a direct order to close down Bonidelva National Park until further notice after three people suspiciously died in three months. The incidents gained wide publicity in the nation after the death of Onai Perdeza, a 14-year-old boy who was found dead inside the national park.
According to the reports from the authorities, an underground settlement was found 10 meters west of Bonidelva, suspected to be home of at least 75 people.
This caused widespread panic across Klocke-Yoyl, as well as a district-wide lockdown in Vardegart until further notice."I've never seen something like this before", says the local police sheriff. "Our first thoughts that it was the wild animals who committed the attacks. None of us expected something this unusual."
The underground settlement was successfully raided in a dawn operation, where 80 people living under were detained, 48 of which are already released. The police will continue detention for the remaining suspects for another 90 days as the investigations continue.

First edition of Cisau scujlourà Malborya? set to take place in September 2020
(Rosa, Gello o Blu)
UPDATE: The date of the national selection has been shifted to August 2020.
After 4x announcing that they will ditch Malbvizio, many EuroVoice fans questioned how the new song would be chosen. Today, the channel announced their new national selection: Cisau scujlourà Malborya? (What will Malborya choose?)
According to Malboryan Head of Delegation, the artist will be internally chosen by 4x, while the song will be chosen by the Malboryans. There will be six songs to choose from and it will be 100% televoting.

Opinion: The conflict in Eastern Haane may destroy the safe image of Malborya
The conflict paints an unstable picture for the region.
(Mainecras)
The lands of Eastern Haane are truly the worst place to live in these days. The country is in a constant state of chaos with various factions controlling portions of the country. Anarchy has taken the place of the government as mobs are burning down the Haanean lands. And all this negatively affects the Malboryan tourism industry. Three days ago, The Malboryan Government called the government of Josephine Areai "illegitimate and terror-fed" and put the government on its terrorist watch-list. This lead to tensions rising inside Malborya, with many Malboryans fearing an unexpected terrorist attack from Areai, and although this is far from likely, this doesn't relax the Malboryans, nor tourists coming from all over European Union.
Under the administration of Vincent Archambault, Malborya is more militarized than ever before. It's defence spending percentage jumped from 3,5% to almost 10%. In just four months, the Arms Manufacturing industry increased by 1600%. While former Prime Minister Luca Eusebiu decided to play a rather passive role in the world scene, it seems like Archambault wants to turn tables around. He takes all the steps to make Malborya a strong influencer in the region. And Malborya's unexpected aggressive stance on Haanean Civil War is certainly a part of that. However, this comes with a price. Malborya, a country that seemingly kept its sanity and was deemed "safe", between communist-revolted Czech Slavia, dense and conflicted Inquista and authoritarian Red Croatia, may not have this image anymore. Archambault seems to be very eager to unleash Malboryan troops into the territory of Eastern Haane and not everyone agrees with him. Many citizens would rather stay neutral to the conflict. After all, Eastern Haane doesn't even border Malborya, contrary to Archambault's tweet.
The stubborn attitude of Vincent Archambault may result in conflicts, protests and riots all around Malborya. He is walking on thin ice. His rather reckless actions will probably make the near future the most intense years of Malboryan politics, and maybe history.
-
Protests spark all across Malborya from all sides regarding the Haanean Civil War
The conflict creates quite a lot of polarization.
(Mainecras)
As Archambault prepares more and more for a Malboryan invasion (or liberation, depending on which side you stand on) of Eastern Haane, the streets get filled with more and more people. After Archambault's tweet and the governmental statement from Malbory City, everyone took it to the streets to show their support or their despisement. In just 12 hours, protests and rallies about Eastern Haane were seen in all eleven regions.
Malbory is now more militarized than ever before, challenging the days of Drava Centreo. It is also where the most intense clashes are. The governor, Luka Merdena, issued a lockdown which meant all roads to Malbory were closed. No one could leave or come in. Thousands, with some news sources claiming as much as half a million, were out in the streets to either show solidarity with Archambault or boycott him, with some calling for a total demilitarization. The hashtags #DemilitarizeMalborya and #HandsOffHaane were trending, as well as #AllHandsOnHaane, which is the opposite of #HandsOffHaane. The police do not hesitate to use tear gas, with some even reporting sounds of bullets. According to the citizens of Montaigne, both sides are vulnerable to equal violence, citing the police's only purpose is to shoo off the protesters.
Vasilica Da Anna is another hotspot for the protests, as well as other cities in the region of Rosetta. In Aruvail, considered the most conservative city of Rosetta, a lynch campaign has been reported against people supporting demilitarization. Similar reports have also been filed in Lachte and Klocke-Yoyl. In Laedafas, a man in his 30s has died to a bullet from an unknown source while watching the protests from his window.
Dozens are getting arrested all around the country, with Malbory police arresting around 1,500 alone. In Hattington, the largest city in Victoria, possibly has the most violent protests in Malborya right now. The police cars have been set on fire, one of which had two officers inside, killing both. The police department building has also been set on fire, with all exits closed to ensure a painful death inside, which possibly resulted in over 30 dead. Elduvy possibly had the most peaceful protests out of any other region, though the violence has escalated there as well.
The protests are getting bigger and the streets are getting louder. Everybody is wondering what Archambault will have to say...
