MOUNT GETHSEMANE, PORTLAND
Field Marshall Prudence Crumplebottom alighted from her emergency escort. She was escorted by some loyalist Nicoleizian soldiers to a secure location in the mountains of Portland. She would be safe there to lead her rebellion to restore the monarchy to Icholasen and also homophobia. The rebels took a recently abandoned ski resort and used it as their base. The only way up to it was through a short, winding tunnel or by helicopter. The rebels gambled that if their presence was lowkey enough they would survive here.
Her main advocate was Piane Daggot, the head of the newly founded Secret Police, and leading figure in the Ministry of Truth. Daggot had been leading a brutal campaign of repression against any who dared retaliate against the Nicoleizian communist revolution.
The first operation that Field Marshall Crumplebottom would undertake would be destruction of bridges, to stop the transit of soldiers, goods and other things the communists needed for the good running of the country. She assigned several groups of soldiers and volunteers bridges around the country. It would be up to them to destroy them and to cut off large parts of the country from each other. While in these disparate regions of the country, they would recruit people for the cause.
Field Marshall Prudence Crumplebottom waited atop the mountain for the success or failure of her mission. She prayed that God, Fatherland and Queen would be restored to their place of prominence in Nicoleizian society.

SAINT ROMAIN, ROMAIN DOMINION
Mark François, former Lieutenant-Commander of Icholasen's Territorial Army's catering wing, took under his lead a group of ragtag rebels. Their task was to blow up the bridges that connected the city of Saint Romain. They had some pressure cookers they panic bought at the news of the communist takeover, and in an apartment they made makeshift bombs.
Lieutenant-Commander (of Chips) Mark François personally took the bombs down to the river at 4am, and loaded them onto a small boat and put them onto the pillars of one of the 3 bridges that crossed the river in the city limits.
Lieutenant-Commander François then lead his boat away and triggered the detonation of the explosives. "A job well done" he said as his boat sailed away from the collapsing bridge.

THE MINISTRY OF EUROVOICE HQ, SAINT REGINA
Paloma Faith looked out of the window of the Ministry of Eurovoice at the communist troops patrolling the streets. This worried her. Would the communists frown on the Eurovoice Song Contest ? Surely not. Would the rest of the world frown on Icholasen after communism ? Maybe ? In the top floor of the tower the Council of Eurovoice assembled. Kacey Musgraves, Taylor Swift, Carlos, Lola Le Lann, and Mary Lambert gathered around a conference table in a light but very boring and grey office. Paloma Faith stayed stood up, her faced back to her Council facing out to the city. She sighed. Kacey Musgraves looked at Carlos, who looked at Taylor Swift, who looked at Lola. (Mary Lambert is irrelevant so no one looked at her). The Council of Eurovoice was worried, firm action would need to be taken if Icholasen was ever to win again.
"Military coups are terrible optics." Paloma faith said finally. "We need to either take down the communist regime, rebrand it to make it appeal to the voters, or launch our song under some kind of Nicoleizian liberation banner. Thoughts?"
Carlos said "Ay, dios mios, this whole communist thing is loco loco! Yo thinko that the reason I lost wasn't because of anything politics, just that Malborya's song was better than me. One point better, to be precise. Ay ay ay!"
"Carlos, just as a rule, yeah, don't bring up your Eurovoice failure. You're lucky to be alive." Paloma paused and changed her facial expression to a smile almost like an evil nurse/robot/Nun in a horror film. "Kacey, my sweet child, my favourite person in this room, what are your thoughts?"
"Wha- Oh, Howdy!" Kacey said, suddenly tuning back into the conversation. "I think we can totally take down the communists, y'all. My daddy owns these horses we can ride them against the T-72 tanks, they're mighty strong horses !"
"Oh for fuck's sake." Paloma sighed. "Lola, you nearly won but not so nearly it was embarrassing. Pray, tell us what you think we should do."
"Well, I for one 'ate the commies. I think we should 'elp Prudence, even though she's an old cow. I still 'ave that car that I drove in the lake in that music video, somewhere... We can drive it around the country." Lola replied.
"An interesting idea, but Prudence hates the gays. To get a winning coalition at Eurovoice, we have to convince the Inquistan Homos Eurovoice Stan Group to vote for us -- and of course other gay groups across Europe." Paloma said and then took a long pause, taking a swig out of her flask. "It really hurts me, in a deep part of my psyche to ask this, but Taylor, do you have anything to add?"
"I think we should, like, compete as, like, Free Icholasen to, like, get rid of all the communist craziness from our, like, nation." Taylor said, wisely and in a poised manner befitting an educated and well brought up Nicolezian.
"What a stupid idea." Paloma said, giving her an eyeing. "Dear lord, what a sad life, Taylor. You ruined my mid-morning completely. You have all the grace of a Reitzmag dump truck that just got bombed by Inquista."
"I don't get it" Mary Lambert said.
"Well you wouldn't let's be honest there's nobody in there love. So Taylor, take your stupid ideas and get off my property."
Taylor left the room.
"Ayyyyyyyyyy, this is very loco loco!" Carlos said nervously.
"What are we gonna do, y'all." Kacey said.
"Well, if I can kill performers, the leap to communists isn't that far to be honest. Lola could you grab my shotgun?"
