Today we have a big announcement to make over the future of the Duchies and its arrangements internationally. As you know we started the Telum Treaty as a regional cooperation organisation based on mutual trust and support of each other to benefit each member through co-operation. United Duchies has done all it can to support Telum and work together for the good of the treaty, despite this sadly Telum Treaty has broke down. Unfortunately some members have breached that trust and effort put in by suddenly out of the blue founding a new treaty abolishing the old treaty. We will say simply we are dissapointed , a relationship of trust cannot exist when such a move was done so suddenly and without warning .Now we want to say we wish to co-operate with Telum nations still in areas of trade , immigration and security co-operation but we cannot and never will allow one treaty to be our sole treaty and will always pursue a multi-treaty policy, its the only way to develop tailored solutions for different challenges in different areas of Europe. We wish to say we are still friends with Telum nations and seek a special partnership in the interests of all our people but we no longer long term see our interests in pursuing a full membership of new Telum if it costs us our foreign policy independence and cannot withstand disagreement over issues. Any alliance must allow for disagreement and compromise. With that said I now get on to the bread and butter of this meeting. You may be asking why these gentlement Mr Bridges and Mr Watanabe are standing beside me but I will make you wait no longer after teasing this press conference. As of today we will preliminarily sign a new agreement with Yosai and Reitzmag covering all aspects of our relationships from free trade and economics , culture and research, security and free movement along with close border policy co-operation and a joint defense pact with provisions for our defense forces to work together in defense of our respective realms. We have come together as a European Coalition of Nations which other nations are welcome to join for the good of Europe our nations and stability on the continent through co-operation.
The treaty will be based on the following foundations:
BELIEVE that cooperation is the most effective way to establish peace, order, and stability throughout Europe and the world,
UNDERSTAND that this cooperation may be achieved and solidified through an official agreement,
AIM to use this cooperation as a way to equally develop as one,
EMPHASIZE that cooperation shall bring peace and harmony than conflict and competition, and that this principle shall be empowered by this organization,Ordain this treaty for the establishment of the European Coalition of Nations (ECON), an organization to strengthen the cooperation and bond between us in areas of trade, movement, defense, security, and policy. This will be a treaty built on the principles of respect for each other through many meetings and discussions to constantly discuss issues affecting all members allowing flexibility to change to meet ongoing and changing challenges , co-operation of nations to benefit all citizens and to solve multi-nation issues and the idea that every nation is sovereign and can pursue additional relations that are embedded in the nations histories through historical connection and geo-political location. In short this treaty will allow more freedom over foreign policy and allow for disagreement. I am proud to sign this treaty and will give more detail when we release the text after this meeting in order to allow for scrutiny. I emphasise this is a preliminary signing and parliaments will vote on this treaty before ratification in the manner they are required to by law in each nation but we look forward to a new era of European Co-operation. I would like to emphasise this is not the end of our relations with Telum but we must recognise a new reality , and that reality is of a looser connection with Telum.
Thank you and I would like to thank the many civil servants who worked quickly to deliver this treaty, diplomats and of course Mr Bridges and Watanabe and I will now pass on to General Secretary Junichi Watanabe who will now deliver his nations statement."
General Secretary Junichi Watanabe:“Ladies and Gentlemen
Today is a new day. We are announcing a new coalition a new agreement between nations with a shared set of values. The Agreement known as ECON. European Coalition of Nations. This coalition represents an acknowledgement of all nations as equals and all beneficiaries of being protected from nations wishing to tilt the balance of Europe in the direction of one direction at the expense of another and act as a bulwark against those who wish to disrupt the democratic order.
What ECON provides is an alliance in three spheres. The first is a military alliance for states wishing to prosper and have the right to exist free from external threats to their sovereignty and rights to live without fear. The Second is the freedom of movement of goods and services and greater integration of economies between all member states for nations wishing to trade and prosper and materially improve the lives of their citizens. The third is people to people and immigration for those wishing to live, work and study in our member nations will be given priority visa acceptance in member nations making it easier for people-to-people movement and improve relations between our people’s.
This agreement is purely voluntary and is open for application for all nations willing to accept the basic principles of all nations being treated as equals and willing to work on a collaborative basis. To those nations we are willing to welcome you with an open hand and not a clenched fist. We are willing to help guide and willing to learn from all member nations who wish to be part of this agreement. After all its not about the wants and desires of one nation over another. An alliance of that nature only leads to cohesion and an unbalanced hegemony leading one nation having not allies, but subordinates.
Disagreement is natural even among allies, but it's up to the institutions that were established by the member nations signatories to wither that storm and stay together, only then can they be seen as worthwhile rather than just pieces of paper. Thus, it is with careful consideration and the deliberation of my colleagues in my cabinet that I Junichi Watanabe, General Secretary of the Federal Republic of Yosai am willing with great confidence sign an agreement with my colleagues, Prime Minister Simon Bridges of the Kingdom of Reitzmag and John Peter Key of the United Duchies and join them to herald this new day.”
John Peter Key: Thank you General Secretary Junichi Watanabe I will now pass onto Prime Minister of Reitzmag Simon Bridges

Simon stood at the podium with a smile."Thank you Mr. Key. Good day ladies and gentlemen, members of the press, and other distinguished guests in this important event. As you may have heard, our nations have agreed to solidify our partnerships in areas of defense and security, economy, and policy. And this will be done through the newly formed European Coalition of Nations (ECON). This organization, shall be a symbol of unity and a new beginning for peace, cooperation, and security in the region. However, to our other European allies and friends, I hope that this organization will not serve hindrance from our individual relations and that we may continue conducting our partnerships regardless of membership to any organization. Just as this organization's principles, we will accept anyone and be open for friendship and continued good relations with any nation inside and outside of any organization such as the ECON. Our position is not to polarize this region, but rather to seek peace and stability. And I believe that both are possible to happen together, as long as the correct principle of cooperation and union are applied among our community of nations."
"With regards to the recent situation with the United Duchies, we have no position on supporting or opposing any of the sides. However, we are only concerned of the possible increase in militarization of the Caspian. I am asking on behalf of our nation, that any attempt to further militarize the Caspian and destabilize our region be ceased. We wish no aggression to any nation, and such has been proven by our response to the conflict in the Red/Adventuranza Strait. So with that, I hope that our request be granted for the sake of peace and security in this region."
"Finally, I'd like to thank my fellow Heads of Government with me in establishing this agreement. I hope that this will mark a new era of growth and development among our nations. Thank you and have a great day everyone."
