Montenbourg's Position on Maritime Claims in the Caspian Sea
"The Kingdom of Montenbourg champions a free and open Caspian region. Today we are strengthening our policy in a vital, contentious part of that region — the Caspian Sea. We are making clear: Reitzmag's claims to offshore resources across most of the Caspian Sea are completely unlawful, as is its campaign of bullying to control them.
In the Caspian Sea, we seek to preserve peace and stability, uphold freedom of the seas in a manner consistent with international law, maintain the unimpeded flow of commerce, and oppose any attempt to use coercion or force to settle disputes. We share these deep and abiding interests with our many allies and partners who have long endorsed a rules-based international order. Such as the nations of @Inimicus, @Spain, @Pravoslaviya, @North-Diessen, @Copala-City, United Duchies.
Montenbourg stands with our Southeast Caspian allies and partners in protecting their sovereign rights to offshore resources, consistent with their rights and obligations under international law. We stand with the international community in defense of freedom of the seas and respect for sovereignty and reject any push to impose “might makes right” in the Caspian Sea or the wider region."

(the Prime Minister and the First Gentleman wave at the camera)"Good day! as Montenbourgians across the country gather with family and friends, Gauthier and I want to wish everyone a happy and healthy New Year.
As we count down to the new year, we get to reflect and prepare for what’s ahead. For all the bad news that seemed to dominate our collective consciousness, there are countless stories from this year that remind us what's best about Montenbourg and our Union.
During this year, Her Majesty's Government has been able to offer a justice to the European Court of Justice, our dearest Justice Bourgeon, and we have also proven the Union our constructive potential as a compromise between us and the allies with whom we are close friends.
The Kingdom had signed a very critical treaty in Finisterre, which will allow us have a new currency from 1 January 2021; we have standed against the civil war in Eastern Haane and have won new allies, such as the Kingdom of @Spain, the Empire of @Inimicus , the Republic of @Nofoaga. Our special friendship with @Inquista, and the common history with The United Duchies. Even the tumultous relationship with the @Kingdom-of-Reitzmag and the uprising of communist regimes haven't stop our hope for better relations with those countries.
It's still a hopeful moment, when we mark the close of one year and the starting of another. We must still look back on this year with the understanding that happier days are ahead of us – that, while our struggles are great, each of us has the strength and resolve to rise up and face them.
May God Save Our Queen, and Happy New Year!"

No. 003 - Chancellor's Exchequer Statement on the The European Monetary Unit.
"Today we start a new era for our Union! We have said goodbye to the Monten Pound, as a reference of a coin in europe and will be transfered to the royal reserves. And we say welcome to the EMU along with our brother nations @Spain, @Inquista, @Vayinaod, @Fremet and @Icholasen. A new growth for our economies!
A common currency means stronger currency and more allied nations; This would make it harder for an economic downfall for our nations. With the more participants under one currency, the currency is stronger. And will benefit in a positive way creating a more allied Union. Integration is happening, Her Majesty's Government is looking forward to the elections of the new leadership of the Bank of Europe and the newly headquarters of this our institution.
Welcome EMU! God Save Our Queen!"

Prime Minister's OfficeNo. 005 Press Conference - March 10th
Good morning everyone,
To some of you I'm a fresh face behind this podium, but that will surely wear off. After some differences with the previous press secretary, I will be taking over the role of Press Secretary from my role as Communications Director. I will be glad to answer any questions you have and feel free to get in touch for all things Lexington House communications.
Now, onto the questions!
- Following the reduction in interest rates for all student debt owned by the federal government, will the administration work with Parliament in ensuring that public college is debt-free?
Her Majesty's Government is currently working with CMP and LP members of Parliment on student debt forgiveness we believe it would ease people’s financial anxiety.
- What action has the administration taken or plan to take to address the military coup in @Alkharya?
The administration is continuing to work with regional allies, and I'll once again reiterate our condemnation of the undemocratic violent military coup.
- Would the Prime Minister advise Councillor Granger to vote for or against the suspension of Councillor Brauer @Syndical-Union for violence and insurrection?
Lexington House has no position on how Councillors should vote in the trial of a current Councillor. But this administration condemns the actions taken by the @Syndical-Union and exhorts compliance with what establish the code of conduct. Councillor Granger is always a leading example.
- What action has the administration taken to negotiate the passage of a reasonable budget through Parliament?
The Prime Minister has appointed Christine Lagarde, Duchess of Lyon to the position of Chancellor of the Exchequer. If Parliament Greens insist on railroading cabinet nominations, then there will only be further delays to bring forth a budget.
- Is there any possibility of the Duchess of Lyon and Chancellor of Exchequer, Christine Lagarde, to lead the European Bank?
Lexington House will push for her nomination on the European Central Bank.
- Will the administration affirm its commitment to ensuring equal rights for Montenbougians regardless of their personal characteristics?
We will continue to uphold the natural rights and freedoms granted by the Constitution. Here and anywhere.

Response to the Coup Attempt in @Alkharya
"Good Evening, international bodies have failed to even condemn this assault on republican governance of Alkharya. His Majesty's Government will always take a stand to defend democracy at home and abroad. The blatant attempt by the military of Alkharya to remove a fairly elected government from power is something that the Kingdom of Montenbourg cannot allow to stand. These sanctions are meant to send a clear message– the military must stand down or we will exercise additional measures to pressure a return to the democratic system that the people of Alkharya are rightfully entitled to.
The Chancellor of Exchequer, using the authority granted to their office under 31 U.S.C.
§321 and other portions of Montenbourg Code, shall–- Freeze all importation or exportation of all property and assets coming into or
leaving the Kingdom of Montenbourg belonging to the individuals listed by the Alkharya Government; - Freeze all pending purchases belonging to or on the behalf of the individuals
listed in the Alkharya Government as persona-no-grata figuring as members of the coup; and - Barr the individuals listed in from otherwise accessing their property
and assets housed in the Kingdom Of Montenbourg or by a corporation operating within the
Kingdom.
Is in the best interest of both governments to cease and desist this unlawful actions and work together for a more effective friendship."

Good Afternoon everyone, I will be glad to answer any questions you have and feel free to get in touch for all things Lexington House communications.
Now, onto the questions!
Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany- On the current situation of Copala City what's the position on the current administration?
Her Majesty's Government believes in the autonomy of Copala City and supports the moves from the members of the civil society which endorse a national referendum on the matter. We believe that any moves towards a more democratic order in Copala City will be supported by this administration. We condemn any stooping of this moves and our Foreign Office keeps an eye on the members involved.
- The Sanctions Act has been enacted, what will be the course of action?
Her Majesty's Government is currently discussing with ther Governments of @Spain and @Inimicus and other members of the EPA Caucus of the EU Council to put forward under the supervision of our current Premier the first country of the Union who will be delivered under the Sanctions Act. We hope that the current situation on the Union of Nicolezian Soviet Republics, a terrrorist organization, the crisis propagated by the government of the Union of Syndicates and other countries be delivered justices for their citizens and the people of the Union.
- The United Duchies is currently arresting leftists all around the country and pushes security polices?
Our Foreign Office keeps an eye on the developing situation but we assure you that @BrumBrum is a friend of Montenbourg who follows the rule of law. What our government has seen is an application of the law in matters of insurgency of radical-dangerous ideas which destabilize the current state of their country, and also what we have seen that those ideas do in states that sadly have rooted tendencies of following this.

MBC News interviews Councillor Emma Granger
MBC News.- On Thursday, March 18, 2021, MBC News Alec Phanopoulos interviewed Councillor Emma Granger. Following her request on Sanctions Act against the Union of Nicolezian Socialist Republics. Endorsed by United Duchies, and Inimicus.ALEC: You're out here selling your support for sanctioning UNSR. What's next on your legislative agenda?
COUNCILLOR GRANGER: Well gather the needed support to present it at the European Council and get member states to vote.
ALEC: But let's talk raw politics here. On the Sanctions Act allied countries of Montenbourg such as Spain and Leagio didn't get a single vote for this. How are you going to get them to vote for sanctioning UNSR?
COUNCILLOR GRANGER: Oh, I may not get their Councillors to vote, but in spirit they supported it. And the act had a good support from other good neighbor countries such as @Nofoaga, @Alkharya, the United Duchies and the Empire of @Inimicus.
ALEC: Why UNSR?
COUNCILLOR GRANGER: Well, if we rewind a bit communist groups seized power in the territory of Icholasen last year, and have been a constant force for destabilisation and terror in the whole region. And we are seeing the effects on other countries as well, people repressed and the Union non-acting.
ALEC: Socialism is the danger of the Union. Do you agree with that proposition, given your argument that thanks to this situation that happened in Icholasen, this regimes have spread?
COUNCILLOR GRANGER: Look, I'am woman of conviction, the unprincipled in government, in the Council or in the Union deserved to take a fall because they were too afraid to take a stand against those who are being vulnerable because of the failure of their systems.
ALEC: So democratic countries are low-down on socialist countries?
COUNCILLOR GRANGER: Marxists get up early in the morning to further their cause. (She laughs) We must get up even earlier to defend our freedom, right? We have seen this in more socialist upheavals happening in countries such as Union of Syndicates and others. And I would call it terrorist organizations, because there was a country before where people lived peacefully until abruptly dominated by fascits.
ALEC: And whats your opinion on the member countries who did not vote in favor of the act?
COUNCILLOR GRANGER: I respect their position but It is good to recall how our freedom has been gained in this Union—not by great abstract campaigns but through the objections of ordinary men and women to having their rights taken from them by the some special figure of government.

Prime Minister's OfficeNo. 007 PM Statement on Copala City - March 26th
Prime Minister Bettel, this morning, along with the Foreign Affairs Minister and Spanish and Copalian delegation at Lexington House. This morning I want to talk about the future of Copala City,
I understand why Copala City people wanted change. I understand George Maxwell plea to go to a referendum; They have had enough of others doing arrangements for them. Presidents, prime ministers and parliamentarians changed, but their attitude to the City and its people remained the same. They milked the City, and did not care much about the ordinary people of Copala. They did not wonder why it was that Copalians saw no prospects at home and went to other countries to work as day labourers.
I want to speak to you today with urgency and frankness about the interest of some countries to undermine their valid interest to express themselves on the autonomy of a special City in our Union called Copala. Naturally, we could not leave this plea unheeded; we could not abandon Copala and its residents in distress. This would have been betrayal on our part.
I join the declarations of our dearest friend of Spain, from March 26rd onwards, Copala City is fully recognised as a Nicoleizian Commonwealth territory within Europe by the Montenbourgian Government. I will send a clear message to Copalians, you are not alone, Europe sees you.

Bordeauxville, Province of Bordeaux—
Rt. Hon.Elizabeth McCord, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Governor-General of Bordeaux sign the Bordeaux Decree announcing the Embargo against The Kingdom of Reitzmag.
“Today as the Union have seen countries such as Reitzmag do not comply with the well-know international order; that’s why as a nation we must put an end to this rethoric, and we are doing it here in our Province of Bordeaux accompanied by Her Grace Lady Minerva Coburga, Grand Duchess of Bordeaux and Governor-General of this Montenbourgian province. Her Grace is descendant John Coburga who’s leadership of the Allied armies fighting anti-king Louis X from 1925 to 1927 consolidated Montenbourg unity she will read the Bordeaux Decree:
Under Her Majesty’s Victoria II, Queen of Montenbourg, considering:
-
That The Kingdom of Reitzmag does not admit the right of nations as universally acknowledged by all civilized people;
-
That this unequalled abuse of the right of authority in territories such as Cópala City and áreas such as the Caspian Sea has no other object than to interrupt the communications of different nations, and to extend the commerce and industry of solely on Reitzmag upon the ruin of those of the continent;
Resolute
ARTICLE I. The Kingdom of Reitzmag is declared in a state of blockade.

Lieutenant General OfficeStatement on Reitzmag Embargo and Prisioners of War
The Kingdom of Montenbourg maintains a comprehensive economic embargo on the Kingdom of Reitzmag. In March 2021, Minister of Foreign Affairs Elizabeth McCord with the Governor-General of Bordeaux proclaimed an embargo on trade between Montenbourg and Reitzmag, in response to certain actions taken by the Reitzmic Government in Copala City, and directed the Departments of Commerce and the Treasury to implement the embargo, which remains in place today.
Common sense and national security both dictate that if a country wants to fully participate in Montenbourg programs, they should also comply with all democracy promotion and counter-terrorism measures. We annouce today that in the violation of 24h period there were present in Montenbourg at the moment of the embargo eleven (11) Reitzmic citizens whom are made prisioners of war as dictated in the Bordeaux Decree.
I have send orders to the provincial military commanders to designate "military areas" from which this persons may be excluded.
As we know today they aren't any Montenbourgians present in Reitzmag soil.
We call for a prisioners exchange with the condition that Copala City may be permitted effective inmediatly the promotion of fair elections and referendum with the full participation of the European observers.
God Save the Queen!

On behalf of the Montenbourgian cabinet I would like to congratulate Her Majesty's Councillor to the European Council, and friend Emma Granger with their nomination victory after a close race.
This election only talks further on the importance of Montenbourg in the bonds of friendship that unites the countries in the hopes of a better Union. We Her Majesty's Goverment, and all Montenbourg wish best of luck to our dearest Councillor.

Prime Minister's OfficeNo. 008 PM Statement on Itskalen Declaration of War
"Good Evening! Today we stand with the @Kingdom-of-Reitzmag and the Union. The gravity of the situation which confronts our Union today necessitates my appearance before you members of the press. The foreign policy and the national security of this country are involved. I do not believe that the Montenbourgian people and the Parliament wish to turn a deaf ear to the appeal of the Reitzmic Government. We understand that this goes beyond the current situation on the auntonomy of Copalians which this government supports but a greater call is upon us.
The Union is not static, and the status quo is not sacred. But we cannot allow changes in the status quo in violation of the Charter of the European UNion by such methods as coercion, or by such subterfuges as political infiltration. In helping free and independent nations to maintain their freedom, the Kingdom of Montenbourg will be giving effect to the principles under this Union stands.
I believe that it must be the policy of the Kingdom of Montenbourg to support free peoples who are resisting attempted subjugation by armed minorities or by outside pressures.
I hereby suspend the economic blockade against Reitzmac Government under the Bordeaux Decree and calls the liberation of the reitzmic citizens under the military areas prompted by the Minister of Defense.
In that sense I authorize the detail of Montenbourgian civilian and military personnel to the Reitzmag Kingdom, at their request, to assist in the tasks of aid and support against the Itskalen forces.
The seeds of totalitarian regimes are nurtured by misery and want. They spread and grow in the evil soil of poverty and strife. They reach their full growth when the hope of a people for a better life has died. We must keep that hope alive."

Prime Minister's OfficeNo. 009 PM Statement on the Motion of ERF deployment in Istkalen
"Good Evening! I join our friends from Spain and Inimicus that a possible occupation and annexation of Reitzmag on Istkalen will not be supported by Her Majesty's Government. Thats why Her Majesty Councillor to the European Council the Honorable Emma Granger has authored a motion supporting the deployment of the European Relief Forces in Istkalen soil to find a peaceful transition to a democratic order.
We condemn the disgraceful aggression originating from the Federation of Istkalen, and support the European Commission and Council taking appropriate Sanctions action against it. And support the Reitzmic Government's actions of territorial defence and maintenance of its own stately integrity, but we do not want or endorse another Copalian situation in the region. We call the governments of the Union to unite against chaos and fight for unity.
That's why we endorse the presence of Montenbourgian forces in the upcoming deployment of the European Relief Forces and support the presence of a Flag Commissioner none related to the parties involved in the conflict. We will use all diplomatic and economic means at our disposal to convince those who want to perpetuarte war and call to abandon an occupation-centered dilemma in the Itskalen soil.

Prime Minister's OfficeNo. 010: PM Press Conference
SPEAKER: Ladies and gentlemen, the Right and Honorable Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Montenbourg.
PM BETTEL: Thank you very much. Thank you. Beautiful out here this time of year. My fellow Montenbourgians I greet you this morning from Lexington House, open to recieve your questions.
- Does the Prime Minister support bipartisan border legislation in the Parliament right now that would ban individuals or groups from impersonating CBP's enforcement of the border?
PM BETTEL: Yes, absolutely.
- Does the Prime Minister support a rollback of gun control in all provinces and a possible amendment to guarantee concealed cary of any gun to any member of the public?
PM BETTEL: No. I would, however, consider legislation pertaining to a national concealed carry policy.
- What is your prefered policy measure (pick top one) for combating climate change?
PM BETTEL: The way I would fight climate change would be to set a tax that would target large businesses that give of large amounts of CO2, and use the money from the tax to subsidize alternative energy (including nuclear power) and encourage subway/bus usage.
- What steps has Her Majesty's Government taken to improve mental health support in schools, colleges and universities?
PM BETTEL: We are planning to take steps to improve mental health support in schools, such as making more funding available for councillors, reforming how examination works in the Kingdom and investing in free tutoring so all students have the support they need.
- Does the Prime Minister agree that we should seek to reform our tax system to minimize distortions and therefore increase economic growth?
PM BETTEL: I presume that the member is talking about market distortions which is incidental to the application of consumption taxes on the people, and yes, I would hope to create less distortion of prices as we are in the position to exercise trade liberalisation and we have the ability to account for poorer people of the Kingdom who would be spending more proportions of their income on goods that are distorted by government taxes. Of course, it is not easy to account for everything and we need to keep our revenue at a strong level in order to match our spending, but reform of the tax system is always worth looking at to make it more equitable and fair for everyone.
- The parties to the J-TAI are conducting negotiation in Itskalen. How does Montenbourg evaluate the current Reitzmag advance situation and the prospect of the negotiation, even though Councillor Granger procedeed with a motion of ERF deployment? What role is Montenbourg playing in the negotiation?
PM BETTEL: The Itskalen situation is now at a critical juncture. As we speak, the J-TAI parties are discussing in Itskalen issues that comply with Reitzmic side. Meanwhile, we in Montenbourg do the things as should be done, talking; Councillor Granger has proceeded with the proper motion that needs to be enacted together, to prevent other situations promoted by Reitzmag in very well known regions. Her Majesty's Government hopes all parties will consolidate and continue the current momentum, and reach an early consensus on bringing all Europe together on this issue.
Montenbourg firmly upholds the authority and effectiveness of the European Relief Forces as means of peace and stability in Itskalen.
- Is Reitzmag currently under sanctions?
PM BETTEL: Well after the situation of war in Itskalen we push for Her Majesty Royal Airforce in the air soil, then they wanted the sanctions lifted in their entirety, and we couldn’t do that. We have Copala City wanting autonomy and they put themselves out of the Buckingham Treaty.
- So, all the sanctions that are currently in existence remain, sir?
PM BETTEL: They’re in place. You know, I was watching as a lot of you folks over the weeks have said, “Oh, we’ve given up.” We haven’t given up anything. And frankly, I think Her Majesty end up being very good friends with their King, and I think they have tremendous potential. I’ve been telling everybody: They have tremendous potential. Unbelievable potential. But we’re going to see.
But it was about sanctions. I mean, they wanted sanctions lifted but they weren’t willing to do what is expected.
- How is the Foreign Office currently working with other nations to combat the growing political and economic threat of Reitzmag?
PM BETTEL: Look, ongoing discussions are being had to address growing international influence of the Retizmic government and proactive steps are being taken to address their lack of respect for human rights. Well, thank you everybody.
- Prime Minister..... Prime Minsiter.... Excuse me...
