Controversial campaign promise as Blair Gobnet MCLucais calls for controls on "Cults"
Today PoT leader Blair Gobnet McLucais announced at a campaign event a controversial policy at European level. She said in a rally speech "My Strathaen friends we need to stop lying to ourselves we have dealt with the biggest threats and menaces to our culture. We haven't still today cult members of dangerous sociopathic bigoted cults still are too numerous in our land and we need to make sure they are not comfortable. Its time to take the fight to the Islamic, , Catholic , Orthodox and Orthodox Jewish bigots who promote hatred discord , homophobia and sexism. Therefore we as a party promise this, elect us again we will defend our beautiful liberal culture.Within 2 months we will present a bill establishing the definition of a cult and banning said cults in our land as well as defining bigoted faiths. We will kick the homophobic, misogynistic and transphobic cults out of our land. I have this to say to our Catholic, ,Islamic , Orthodox and Orthodox Jewish "friends" beware we are coming to get you , you may feel comfortable now but we will deal with your hatred, homophobia, sexism, and transphobia , you will not get away with your disgusting beliefs for long."
The speech is was criticised by the leader of Unity(Aontacht) Searlait Mhic Cuairt Sgot who said in a statement "We understand frustation with the homphobia, sexism and transphobia issues in these faiths but we cannot and must not target them in such an extreme manner. We need to work with leadership so they understand their responsibilities in Strathae and come to a mutual agreement." The CSP were not available for comment. Blair also promised to continue her policy of no male leaders or candidates well into the future for her party again criticised by the leader of Unity(Aontacht).

Reitzmag Catholic fired and egged or homphobia
Today a Reitzmag catholic Solomon Jones named was egged by a crowd of protesters after he wrote a piece on social media about his opposition to gay marriage. The post lamented the "degrading " of marriage by allow gay people to marry calling for the banning of gay marriage and any rights for them in relationships. The post caused outrage when it it was spread on social media by those opposing its message calling for protests and consequences for his bigotry. He was sacked for bigotry with his employer Gaelmart saying "He does not align with the values of our company so we have to regrettably let him go. We will not tolerate homophobia in our company"The protesters have camped out at his farm setting up a noisy event to make sure he cannot sleep saying "He wouldn't let gay people sleep in the peace of their own homes so why should he get to". He has also been egged multiple times and it has been reported his car has been vandalised overnight and eggs thrown at his windows. The protesters have voweed to continue their bag pipe concert until he leaves the country. If he can't find a new job with 3 months, he will be deported from the country and protesters have vowed to protest any company that hires him with protest movement leaders saying "We won't stop until Solomon Jones is out of this couintry. He broke his pledge to our society and we call on the government to deport him from the country. He does not deserve to be in our society". The government is looking into the issue.Blair Gobnet McLucais is understood to be supportive of the movement and have written to the Home Minister.

Government announce crackdown on religions discrimination practises
Today the PoT government have promised a crackdown on religions who have dicriminatory policies, views and practises if they get another term. They announced details about their plan to crack down on what they call cults as well as religions that have discrimination in policy towards women and LGBT people. They have promised to take away marriage licenses unless the organisation and individual is willing to conduct marriages regardless of sexuality or trans status they will also apply this values test to adopters and organisations running adoption and foster care.
Furthermore any preacher found to have a hateful and discriminatory message would be banned from the country entirely under new laws if the PoT is re-elected with homophobic and misogynistic organisations like the Catholic Church , Orthodox Church, Islamic organisations and Orthodox Judaism banned from having visiting preachers or missionaries or even having virtual meetings organised with said preachers. The government said "we believe in equality for all and religion is no excuse to discriminate. Any religion that does not follow Strathaen values of tolerance, democracy and acceptance of differences shall be restricted and controlled". When asked how the law would be upheld they said they would create a new agency called the Anti-Extremism and Cult Agency to monitor all religions for potential violations and punish any violations as well as deal with any reports.
The plans have been criticised by The Alternative who have called for religious tolerance in Strathae while Clan Socialist Party have indicated they will support some of the reforms though they will decide as to what extent they do when full plans are out or if they win the election conduct a public enquiry as to how best balance civil rights and deal with extremism.
On the campaign trail this week Blair Gobnet McLucais called Catholicism and Orthodoxy "Cancers on the face of Strathae that need treating". The comments were condemned by the Alternative and liberals within the country. The polls are showinh the contest will be close with PoT polling at 41% CSP at 40% and The Alternative at 18%. The closeness of the race means any party could win it depending on the clan ,makeup of the vote in each party.

Anti-Reitzmag protests start
Today following the recent comments of the Reitzman Solomon Jones more "unsavoury" comments from other Reitzman were discovered leading to calls for the removal of Reitzman from the country. The movement Not Reitz to Hate has formed withnout a central leader committed to doxing Reitzmen believed to be fully believing in the catholic faith. The doxed Reitzmen details are then posted on forums including where they work so letters can be sent to employers to get them sacked hopefully be deported. Finally their details have been put on on a blacklist maintained by Craobh Saorsa Strathae a nationalist newspaper red by many traditional nationalistists. The Paper has vowed to put lists of names of "hateful" people on the 2nd page so people "know who is hateful and how to avoid them" . Critics are concerned the new trend could lead to violence against Reitzmen with reports of violence against Reitzmen surging 400% in a week with many in the community finding their houses vandalised with the words "Go home dirty catholic" and "Blair will save us from you". The words have linked the campaign to Blair Gobnet McLucais's party though the party has denied any such links to such groups saying "We are a non-hateful party just fighting for traditional values in our land if we found people linked to violence we'd obviously kick them out." -
The Alternative vow to stop organisations conducting marriage ceremonies, blessings ,wedding receptions, christenings, dedications or adoptions and fostering unless they conduct them for LGBT too
The Alternative responded today to the PoT's religion policies saying it would also get tough on bigoted religions in Strathae. However it said in a statement "We believe declaring such organisations a cult or banning visiting missionaries or speakers unless they truly say hate speech of an extreme nature is not the answer we need more moderate measures to deal with extremism in religion including funding charities that campaign against religious bigotry." The party unveiled it would pass a law preventing any organisation from conducting gay marriages, marriage blessings, christenings, adoptions or foster care unless they treat every person equally regardless of sexuality, gender, or sex or LGBT or straight status. The move would be designed to encourage organisations of all kinds to be more inclusive.
The party also said it would prevent anti-lgbt or misogynistic organisations from hiring any public space including privately owned public spaces to prevent the spread of discriminatory practises. The code would still allow them to conduct ceremonies in their own buildings and hold events in properties owned by them. All venues would would be prohibited from hosting camps that are anti-lgbt or misogynistic or by any organisations that fit this criteria. The plan is similar to the plans by the CSP if they are elected.

Continued Doxing of Reitzmic citizens in Strathae by Craobh Saorsa Strathae
Today despite condemnation by the Clan Socialist Party and The Alternative Craobh Saorsa Strathae has continued its doxing campaign against Reitzmic Catholics encouraging readers to report any "hate speech" by Reitzmic or Catholic people in Strathae and to organise protests if they find it. They have said in a statement "We believe in LGBT and Womens rights and equality. We will not stand idly by while bigotry is spread by extremist religions in Strathae. We are calling on readers to report any bigotry to us and we will continue to highlight this bigotry and hate speech in our papers. No hatemonger will go unpunished and we will be putting a list on our website of hatemongers and where they work."The government has yet to act though it says "Technically the paper is doing nothing illegal under Strathae law, if the information is in the public domain online on public profiles or easily findable then it is legal to report on. We will crack down if laws are broken but that is not the case at the moment." The PoT has been criticised for stoking tensions but continues to raise anti-catholic sentiments at rallies for the election . The Alternative has called the situation "dangerous and bad for Strathaes image" promising to look at laws on doxing and social media and seeing if any changes need to be made.

The party confirmed they would be seeking to update anti-doxing laws to prevent names and addresses being published on the same lists without permission by updating privacy rules. The party also confirmed it would send a representive to the Pope if he is willing to speak to talk about concerns they have with the church in relation to equality and seek a settlement that allows the church to operate in Strathae within a sphere of equality. Coalition agreed with details to be negotiated
A provisional coalition deal has been agreed with the Clan Socialist Party and The Alternative. The deal was announced via Twitter with it being revealed The Alternative leader will High Chief and Clan Socialist Party leader Deputy High Chief. The government announced a Religious Freedom Contract will be implemented removing the religious exemption from equality laws. The laws when passed will require religious organizations or those run on a religious basis must follow all equality laws except in priesthood and leadership appointments. This means to provide healthcare an organization must provide contraception, transitioning and abortions with no exceptions as mandated by law and to provide a service such as marriage, blessings , confirmations or dedications and hospitality services an organization must provide the same services to LGBT without discrimination. The law would also prevent organisations who don't adopt or foster children to LGBT parents on an equal basis from providing such services. The Alternative leader said in a statement "we are ending the religious exemption to equality law , it is not fair that a organisation can refuse to provide any service on basis of sexuality, gender, or trans identity among other protected characteristics. This is a fair compromise to make sure all are catered for in law. We will still allow controversial speakers and preachers in as long as they don't cross the line of potentially inciting violence or threatening community safety."The coalition is expected to make changes to foreign policy as well as economic policy towards a more left wing model.

The Alternative and Clan Socialist Party invite catholic church back
The Alternative and Clan Socialist Party have invited the Catholic Church back into Strathae. They said in a statement "We invite the Catholic Church back in to operate within the new framework. We are not anti-religion but we do believe religion must follow the same laws as other organisations without exemptions. We would of course like it if the Catholic Church reconsidered their discrimination against the LGBT and women but if they don't they are welcome to come back in as long as they do not engage in providing the services protected by equality laws."The move was criticised by Blair Gobnet McLucais and the PoT who said "We are inviting in a bigoted hate filled religion that is counter to all Strathaen values. We managed to get rid of this evil cult , you see with this new government how weak they are against evil cults in the name of "tolerance" by tolerating intolerance. Something We won't do."It is rumoured there are moves to replace Blair as leader or she is considering stepping down and backing a new candidate for leader. The moderate wing of the party hope they can win in any leadership contest.

Duchian ciitizen faces 5 years in prison for littering after 4th offense
A Duchian has today been jailed in Strathae for littering a 4th time . The man was fined 3 times in a day and caught a 4th time in one day. He was took into custody 2 months ago. The state chose to prosecute to make an example with the Justice Secretary saying "This shows that one must respect Strathae. This man blatantly showed a disregard for his fellow man and animals. Any number of animals and wildlife could have suffocated on the litter he dropped. Littering is not a minor offense but a serious threat to the lives of wildlife. We hope he uses his time in prison before his deportation after his sentence to reflect on his actions. We will not take environmental crimes lightly in Strathae."The government have also moved to seize assets to pay the fines worth 35,000 Copars or 53,900 Euros. His house her brought on entry is to be seized to pay for debts and sold at auction with the fine amount took of the auction price. The sentence is not a one off with a Spaniard expected to face sentencing next week as a result of similar crimes. Its reported there have been 5,000 fines handed out to foreigners and 400 prosecutions on foreigners for environmental crimes. The government has asked countries worldwide to remember to remind their citizens environmental crimes are taken extremely seriously in Strathae.

Strathae perfectly safe to visit says Foreign Affairs minister in reaction to travel advisory and terror listing
The Foreign Minister Stiofán Lughaidh Durbar has hit out at the travel advisories and Mennrimiaks putting Strathae on its terror list. The minister said "Even if the PoT were in charge and the previous planned laws were to pass its an overreaction . As it is its an extreme overreaction given our relatively moderate policy plans and the fact its a policy and government backed by a democratic majority achieved in a legitimate popular election.
We welcome any Spanish and Mennrimiak people to enjoy our wonmderful hospitable culture and beautiful environment. As long as one is respectful of al sexualities, genders and types of people and the environment and follows just basic respect of not littering or saying hate speech then they won't get fined and will have a wonderful time being welcomed by all. We love welcoming all who follow these principles to our country to either live and work or just visiting as we want to share our beautiful land and culture but we also want to preserve it to make sure it all exists for future generations, that is why we ask for basic respect of the environment and LGBT and women."
The minister when asked how she would respond to the moves said she saw no need to add measures on the nations and that she wouldn't get into a tit for tat. She added that she would be open to meetings with Spain and Menrimmiak to discuss any concerns they may have saying " any extremism and hate in Strathae is not welcome though criticism of religious beliefs and ideologies is entirely valid".

Blair Gobnet McLucais to found Críochnaigh Bigotry
Following here parties loss of a majority in the parliament and Blair Gobnet McLucais has announced she will be stepping down as leader to let new leadership lead the party forward. The resignation has meant a leadeship contest will now take place over the next few months to elect a new leader with the traditionalist more moderate wing and blairite wings expected to field candidates. However the news that surprised most pundits was that she would be setting up a new "anti-extremism" non-profit group called
Críochnaigh Bigotry or Finish Bigotry and seeking other partners in other countries to help set up groups their. She said in a statement "As a progressive and liberal leader I have fought in parliament for tolerance, equality of all and respect of all regardless of their sexuality,or gender and race. However this is not enough to keep the fight in politics. Our new government are failing to deal with extremism instead caving in with half measures that is why I will fight for all the victims of Bigots by launching a new non-profit called Finish Bigotry. The programme will aim to end bigotry by fighting its sources such as Catholicism , Orthodox, Islam and Orthodox Judaism among others , we will fight to enact laws to end priveledges for religion to express and promote bigotry , work to help people exit these dangerous cults and work on campaigns to raise acceptance of all people. The group will fight religious intolerance and call out dangerous bigots like the pope and run a list hate preachers on our website to make people aware of where the dangerous people are along with the adresses of the organisations they work for and at. We will Finish Bigotry."The non-profit idea is being met with a mixture of praise and condemnation with critics accusing Blair Gobnet McLucais of crating a front to focus militant anti-catholics and christians in one place under the guise of fighting extremism with supporters arguing such an organisation is necessary and saying its not fair religions are treated as exempt from laws on equality or criticism of their beliefs. The government has yet to comment but commentators expect the organisation to be approved with Blair stating she will be seeking partners in countries like Spain, United Duchies, Reitzmag, Czechslavia and Mennrimiak among others with her asking anyone who wants to start a partner org in their country to get in touch.

Op-Ed:Requiring the Catholic Church to follow equality law and denying bigots entry is not hatred its common sense
There has been a lot of controversy over the historic" intolerance" of Strathae towards the Catholic Church. Well I say good it means someone is standing up to this evil bigoted cult, we should not have tolerance for intolerance or intolerant organisations, to do so will only spread the idea that religion is an excuse to discriminate. Yes , people have the right to believe what they want but that does not give organisations or people to seek to change the law to deny the LGBT or any other group of the human rights they were born with including who to love? I ask this if it is unacceptable for other groups to be homophobic why do we have this blindspot when applying it to the Catholic Church.
Is it because the Catholic Church is traditional and has history well yes it does it has a dark history one of misogny , hatred for other religions and homophobia and transphobia and one of action with the boys though Iet's not get this article banned on social media by going there.. Let me make clear what is and what is not going on in Strathae, we are not going on a crusade against catholicism though this despicable organisation would know what real crusading is. All we are asking is they change their ways , that they follow the equality laws just like anyone else in our fine tolerant accepting country . Is that such a ridiculous thing to ask? Well apparently it is according silly countries like Mennrimiak or Spain. Apparently telling the Catholic Church they have to treat everyone equally if they want to provide services to the people of Strathae is a dangerous threat on the level of genocide , well I tell them this it is right we are finally dealing with the menace of religious bigotry wherever it may be , The Catholic Church faces a choice it can accept the LGBT and women as equals or it can stay out of Strathae and we support government in its policy of abolishing the religious exemption to equality laws simply means we are treating the Catholic Church relatively the same as we treat any other organisation trying to operate in Strathae and holding them to the same high standards. That my friends is not hatred or bigotry but you know what is ? Not marrying poeple because they are gay, refusing to make LGBT priests or adopt and foster children to them to "protect family values" apparently loving men if you are man isn't okay well unless they are of a certain age and you are a priest. If you want to know where the real hated is look at the Vatican and the so called good man and "God's representitive" the Pope. Well if he is God's representitive does that mean God is a bigot. The Catholic Church seems to think branding the hatred as a "sincerely held religious belief" makes it okay and not hatred well its not and its still hatred. The fact its religion based does not change Homophobia is Homophobia and no we do not have a duty to tolerate it in our society.

Justice reform announcement
Ronit Malloye Aidan announced the new coalition would be reforming justice policy on sentencing in Strathae for non-violent offenses and less serious environmental crimes. The reforms have been decided after negotiation and after concerns were raised by other nations about the current sysatem and sentencing policies. At present any person who has committed a 4th offense of a minor nature or for environmental crimes is punishable by jail if there is a trend of them committing crimes. This is planned to be changed with these offenses for foreign or dual citizens no longer being punishable by jail , instead dual citizens may be deported with citizenship stripped and banned from entry for up to 10 years depending on the severity. Their assets may also continue to be seized to pay any fines before leaving. The move comes in an attempt to liberalise "harsh" laws set up under the PoT to appease ultra-conservatives. The justice reform is expected to upset ultra-conservatives though it is unlikely to affect the parties as they don't tend to vote Clan Socialist Party or for the Alternative. It is hoped the reform will ease concerns of foreign powers as the government attempts to rekindle relations abroad. The government also announced they wish to hold talks with Spain and Mennrimiak to solve any issues between the countries that may exist.
New campaign from Environment Department
The Environment Department has launched a new campaign to the press of Strathae today. It unveiled the new posters that will go on buses, trains and billboards with the slogan "
Tá Pussy istigh" or "Pussy is for indoors" to highlight the risks posed to cats by an outdoor lifestyle. The posters will show a happy indoor cat with the other side showing either a cat killed for pest control or run over on the road. The minister in charge said "We have to put wildlife first. Too much wildlife is killed by cats with each cat killing up to 3 animals a day if outdoors causing extinction of wildlife species. Outdoors cats also die younger with an average outdoor cat living 2-6 years compared to 10-15 years for an indoor cat. We are running this campaign to raise awareness and help our cats and wildlife."
The controversial policy was adopted under thge PoT as cat populations swelled out of control however the policy will be extended by this government as it seeks to continue to control cat numbers which according to experts are still too high. The programme will be run in addition to the free neutering programme and giving out of free cat collars with loud bells or ultra-sonic sound generators to help warn wildlife when its being sneaked upon.Where possible cats are returned to owners with a warning to keep them indoors if an owner can be identified or put into cat sanctuaries for adoption if friendly and an owner cannot be identified.

Fines reduced
Today the government of Strathae announced it had used its powers to reduce fines for listed national offences. The fine for littering has been reduced to 1,000 Copars or 1,540 Euros for a first time offence down from 5,500 Copars or 7,700 Euros most other fines havew been reduced to 500 Copars or 770 Euros. The government also stated there would be more powers granted to forgive fines in favour of a warning than at present though many are currently let off with a warning already with an estimated 55% of interactions resulting in a warning as opposed to a fine with the name took down. The move is part of an aim to liberalise the law somewhat which was strictened under the PoT. -
Further Justice Reform as police asked to be more leniant on minor crimes
Today the home office have announced they have asked police to be more leniant on first time offenders for minor crimes or misdemeanors and more leniant on tourists. They were asked for the first time to give a caution to tourists and first time offenders and expel tourists who commit misdemeanors and offences with a ban for at least 2 years. The reform is proposed to try and give tourists a chance to redeem themselves and learnthough if they commit an offence again they would be punished more seriously.
PoT have accused the coalition of failing to protect strathaen values and culture and bending to international "bigoted countries". They also accused the coalition of treating environmental crimes lightly. The coalition denies this saying "We treat all misdemeanors and crimes against the environment, disabled and lbgt seriously. All we are doing is giving people a chance first time so they can know not to do it again. Especially with tourists we need to give them benefit of the doubt as they don't necessarily know all our necessarily complex laws though we ask tour operators to send a leaflet out with the basic cultural conventions and applicable laws to tourists to help them avoid getting in trouble. They should be made aware of the seriousness of littering and how seriously it is dealt with."
