PoT win 82 seats as CSP and Alternative face devastating losses

The PoT gained 34 Seats with Alternative losing 25 seats in total losing all existing seats and gaining only 1 seat from another party meaning all Alternative members of government lost their seats while the Clans Socialist party lost 9 seats despite rising in vote share. The PoT simply managed to gain more seats.
Analysts have viewed this as punishment for the CSP supporting the Alternative in parliament and voting for the current media censorship and privacy laws as well as laws that are alleged to be against freedom of speech as well as a vote against their socialist left wing programme and proposed war on the private sector. The vision that won it seems is one of loosening laws on media speech and reforming privacy laws and opening the country up to business.
The PoT said in their victory speech they would work as soon as possible to reform media laws to no longer require deposits and return all deposits and end the special registration requirements as well as the requirement to run all stories through the press authorities for authorisation to publish. The government are proposing to let companies publish but to be able to fine companies if they breach privacy and doxing laws. Privacy and doxing laws will no longer apply to workplaces if it is in the public interest though they risk a fine still if its not under PoT proposals. This will mainly apply only if such details are banned from being published as party of protection programme for witnesses or if harassment or violence is likely to result from the publication of such details. Notably protests will also be allowed outside workplaces and any public place though peoples privacy at home must be respected still under the manifesto proposals.
The other major area of reform will be in religion with all religions to be allowed to set all religious policy in religious areas. They will also be allowed to discriminate in marriage law and only allow heterosexual marriage or refuse to christen children of LGBT though doing so will remove tax exemption and charity status and see them regulated the same as companies for property tax purposes and any taxes other than corporation tax. They will however be required to follow all equality laws in areas of providing education , healthcare and adoption services if they don't they'd be required not to operate in those sectors. All charity must be provided on an equal basis too. The new proposed laws are said by experts to balance the needs of religious freedom against needs for equality in provision of services. The new government is likely to announce a full cabinet by Monday.

Today "The Wicked Witch is Dead" song rose to the top of the charts. The Judy Garland song from the Wizard of Oz has had a campaign by detractors to rise to the top of the charts to "celebrate the death of a great evil witch and the justice for catholics that the universe has delivered". The government have refused to condemn or endorse the songs use or the campaign which has been condemned by some as being insensitive. The politician was a controversial figure who to her supporters was a great leader who defended Strathaen culture from foreign threats and to her detractors a bigoted extremist authoritarian who persacuted Catholics and foreigners in the name of "culture".
Her supporters have held vigils around the world near the protests of the anti-blair supporters who held parties in the major squares to "celebrate the death of evil".Tensions were stoked at some of the protests and counter protests though things have remained mostly peaceful.Polls have showed that Blairite policies were supported by 21% of the population with 75% opposing and 6% neutral in line with the divisive politician.

We will not accept criticism of any religious group or body of believers as a whole and will not accept naming religions in criticisms, only criticism of some beliefs or behaviours will be accepted. Likewise we will not accept generalised negative statements about men also. We will show together the values of tolerance and acceptance that have long been Strathaen values with all our respective parties implementing lifetime bans from our parties for anyone who shows such behaviour or values." The move has been seen as a move against anti-catholics and nationalist Blairites to purge parties of such extremists. These people will also be blacklisted by all three parties from joining the other parties with the Political Extremist List maintained by all three main parties. -

PoT Blairite purge begins as 187 kicked from party
The PoT "purge" of Blairites from the party has begun with plans to investigate 1,000's with party members encouraged to report any members with Blairite tendencies and in support of Blair as well as any showing hate against Catholics and other religious groups. The Party has said the 120 members kicked out will not be allowed back in and have been placed on the join CSP and Alternative blacklist. The CSP have also kicked out over 67 anti-catholics. It is expected some of the members of the Clan Assembly and Council leaders will also face investigations. The move is seen by some as a vital step in kicking extremism out of politics while others are concerned it may simply create a truly unshackled far right or end up with innocent people and freedom of speech falling victims to attempts to moderate. However as of now all three parties are remaining committed to the investigation of people with "bigoted" views or those who have "hate speech" in their past. -
Reports over 10,000 party members face investigation by party committees
There are reports that over 10,000 party members of the CSP , Alternative and PoT face are facing investigation under the new rules on hate speech and blacklisting in the parties. Over 5,000 of them are reported in the PoT. There are estimates that up to 50,000 possibly more could eventually be kicked out the parties over time in what some describe as a "political purge" of the nationalists. Meanwhile some members of the PoT and CSP including some elected officials have announced their intention to leave and form a new Guardian Party which according them would stand for "freedom of speech and critical thinking and allowing challenging of ideas without fear "with the announcement expected within days. -
Strathae is sorry Protests end
The Strathae is Sorry protests have ended around Europe with the Friends of Strathae and Stathaen Association officially ending their campaigns throughout Europe to raise Strathaes image. They said in a statement "Hundreds of thousands of our people have mobilised in the greatest apology in the history of Europe and really helped in the rehabilitation of the Strathaen image after it was ruined by a previous anti-Strathaen values government. They have showed the true character of tolerance and acceptance in Strathae and have really showed the catholics they are not hated in Strathae despite certain extremists in the country. We are proud of the efforts and now will move towards continuing the promotion of the tolerant accepting culture of Strathae and celebration of our traditions" .The protests caused mixed reactions some feeling it is good for a country and its people to own up to its previous issues with some suggesting it went way too far and that a simple apology and the announcement of the new measures and policies that were happening anyway would have been enough and suggesting the protests if anything tarnished the image of Strathae further especially when "The wicked witch is dead" was played to celebrate the suicide of Balir Gobnet McLucais. However regardless the protests have now ended.
